I have the 2023 Hypers. 2 weeks ago, I was on brand new asphalt. Smooth as anything. Anyway, got distracted and wasn't looking at the road ahead and went right into a big, deep hole in the road where a utility is located. I was going at a pretty good clip and almost went out over the handlebars. To my surprise, my Hypers are perfectly fine, not even a tiny wobble. Amazing.
Hi, UNAAS is a bike shop in Oslo, they have had their own branded ( but Chinese made)wheels for the domestic market for many years. It seems like they became available worldwide through winspace.
Excellent review, as I’d expect. Definitely, food for thought for me. I’m after a new set of wheels. These look great for the price, but my only qualm is the weight of them. I’m currently, favouring a set of Magenes, but they’re near double in price. They’re 150 grams lighter. If you have suggestions I’d appreciate it
That's the catch....you can get lighter but it costs more. Comes down to juggling what your priorities are. I'd say for light riders go for less weight , heavier riders for a more robust wheelset.
Minimalism is not plastering big logo all over the place with a flag and a "Designed in ..." I'm unsure what was the design work done in Norway, I would really, really want to know. Probably they got someone over the phone. I think the best value wheel right now are the Magene UltraDark edition (5500 yuan ~$775USD). 30mm external, 23mm internal, ratchet, 1400g.
the word in the front of the package is : Source from Norway. UNAAS. Strong as a stone. - Will not burn the rim on rim brake - Two wheels can hook up a car - Passed the 10000 km test where the "Source"is quite interesting😅
it must be nice have senior cycling club. in my place most cyclist are young blood, it sometime tiring to follow their stamina when you already late 60
Yes. We have quite a few groups for different fitness levels. It's nice to enjoy the rides with the occasional banter. I'm sure the young ones you ride with enjoy your company and mature outlook.
I've been investing in Bitcoin by myself. I'm not really happy with what's going on, just few weeks ago I lost about $7,000 in a particular trade. Can you help me out or at least advise me on what to do?
in 2024 for that price, this wheelset is a dog. head to chinertown forum to see who offers better specs & better value (hint: pretty much everybody). T700 is shyte, 27mm external is shite, and carbon spokes for that weight is shyte (due to using T700 mostly).

That good. Yeh , carbon is very strong up to it breaking point.
@@stevenleffanueI hope that you are well , regards , Robert . I am still cautious of brands that are new or yet to be proven .
True. Winspace have been around long enough and have a good reputation.
@@stevenleffanue Over 90% of all carbon rims are made in China! Even the ones from most big western brands. ;-)

Ah. Very interesting. Thanx for letting us all know about that 👍
I build a few wheelsets myselve & I appreciate the details in this review.
Unaas is the last name of the brothers that own the brand
I was watching these wheels a few weeks ago but in the end i bought the campagnolo bora wto 60 instead at a 50% discount . Thanks for the review
As always great content and information, well done 👌
22mm inner width is quite 2018. 2024 25mm
external 27mm is even worse
Yep - I’m running 25mm ID 50mm deep aero. Hooked, too.
nice review - would you recommend the 50mm ahead of the super team all carbon d28/50 - which appear to be similar spec selling for US$600?
Extremely close comparison. Wider spokes on the Unaas plus DT clutch.

Where can you get them for $775 usd? Its showing $999 usd for me on their website
@@VincentShumai That's the price in China, so I guess $999 makes sense with the shipping.

850aud or US? Elites same weight and some way cheaper
Its not a new product. Its aged stock from their unaas stockpile that they manufactured for the unaas brand
Nice shoes
Why no bottom spring, Only the one top spring?
Only requires 1 spring...simpler design
A got idea for your wheelset tests would be how silent they could after intensive greasing.
@oz cycle they pronounce it ' Oh~nos '
May I ask where you sourced that black pegboard?! Looks great.
It's was white and I painted it grey 😁. Bunnings
@@stevenleffanue thanks mate!
Can we get warrenty for this wheels in another country's?

Nice but those winspace rims are very dated. Too narrow for current standard in all their offering - 27/28 external width is just no acceptable now.
Do these axles work with older skewers style bikes?
No , completely different.
Excelent TECHNICAL review: 👍👏🏻
Could be a little less weight like ELITE wave shap C46D CS by around 1.330 grams per set, with similar carbon spokes
How is the Wheeltop riding review coming along?
Hopefully it will be the next vid. Wanted to make sure of a few things like battery life....rate of discharge. Will also include rim brake version.
@@stevenleffanueLooking forward to it, especially your thoughts on the rim brake version.
Hit 200k today. I'm really grateful for all the knowledge and nuggets you had thrown my way over the last months. Started with 14k in June 2022
How please
