There is one important fact missing from these documentaries about the Waldenses. Not all of them became Protestants (Pro-test-ents) who fought, some of them became followers of Menno Simons who traditionally were non-resistant and many, if not most, still are.

Hopefully you are not part of the groups that erroneously claim that the Waldenses were believers in a 7th day Sabbath. Amazing that this error keeps getting repeated. The Waldenses are an amazing group and it is so astounding that Church History as a discipline does not focus more on them. The Waldenses fill the gap historically between the corrupting distinctions of the Roman Catholic church in the 600's until the first early Reformers like Huss and Wycliffe. We knew that there had to be others that shared their convictions but most don't know who they were. The Waldenses answer that question. God bless.

"Therefore, the Waldensians did not keep the Sabbath (in the sense of Saturday instead of Sunday) and were not guardians of the "Sabbath Truth” as somebody calls it. The Waldensians never followed the Seventh-day Adventist’s Sabbath but they followed more Paul in Romans 14,5-8.
We can therefore say very clearly that the Waldensians were not Seventh-day Sabbath keepers and they were not persecuted for keeping Saturday as the Sabbath! Thy were persecuted, [from 1532 (when they joined the Reformation - Angrogna Synod) to 1848 (when they received religious freedom)], because of their Reformed-Calvinistic faith in Christ."
A good loyal Adventist would no doubt counter that they are not talking about during and after the Reformation but earlier in the 1100-1300’s when they were not really what we now term Waldensians. In which case that may be that there were some groups who did continued to observe the Jewish Sabbath, but they are not the Waldensians. That is the point.

Well let's just say that there was a group within the waldens who actually were shabbat followers. They followed saturday as the 7th Day of the lord. Despite your considerations about SDA. This information is available. It seems that catholics know more than You do. Why? Because they have samples of those old writtings . You don't have one copy right? And this people want to avoid being confused with saturday followers there were also sunday followers. All of them intercrossed. I mean, they were mixed together. If You go a little deep further into this you'll see how this people have changed their initial doctrines. We all know that there were sunday followers, but actually there's several divisions among the waldens community and some of them are reinforcing god's worthsip on sunday because they're settling in negotiations with the vatican and Pope Francis I. That's is how they also stay away from all of those who suggests that some waldens were saturday observers. Now that kind people are officialy kick out from The waldens group and are not longevidad considered nor as waldens neither as christians, they make them looking as scumbacks . Isn't it amazing how the rewrite history? A Long withstanding Church finding their own way not to become jewish but to become romans. These Waldenses were true Sabbath keepers keepers of the flame 🔥 of the faith once delivered unto the saints who kept the Sabbath (Saturday not Sunday to correct any errors) from the time of the apostles it is sad how they have forgotten who they are it is where my faith and Sabbath keeping can be traced all the way back for they held the bible and the bible alone as their rule of faith.

Yes, Esther-Louisa, that is true! I was interviewed on the 3ABN program for Seventh-day Adventists and stated plainly that the Waldenses were Sabbath keepers, because the Scriptures taught that clearly in the Ten Commandments. God bless you for your faithfulness! Pastor Martin Tickle

@@martintickle7062 it is sad that in recent years the Waldeneses are receiving Rome back whom once was their foe back in the dark ages. They truly forgotten who they once were. I remember watching the apology clip from the pope and praying as I watched and the answer of the prayer I had asked God was that the apology sadly wasn’t genuine. 😢 but I still pray that some if not all will wake up and join with us Sabbath keepers and return to the original faith found in the word of God the bible.
