Its the late afternoon in Johannesburg, South Africa and I commend and praise you to the heavens for your craftsmanship, attention to detail and dedication to your craft brother. If every technician had the mentality you have, we would be so much closer to a perfect world my good Sir...
Casually drops a 20 minute video of about 3 weeks worth of solid work. I was skeptical of the whole CRX resto, but I’ve been thoroughly enjoying these. Incredible transformation. If I had a critique it’d only be that I wish the videos were a little longer. Cheers! Great job as always.
I know people here in Denver that would pay 12k-15k US just for this video's end result prepped shell........... outrageous amount of quality work sets the bar insanely high and I can't wait for the next episode!
You are a very skilled restorer and your attention to detail is up and beyond no stone left it shows the rest of the world how we English and fellow Scotsmen do a proper job 🤣
Mate Ive said it before and Ill say it again. Yourself and MyMechanics are on another level of skill and detail. Between the CRX and the 240z you both are showing the best restoration work on youtube along with the best taste in cars! Cheers!
Mate watching these makes me smile this CRX was left for dead most people wouldn’t have tried to restore it and here you giving the little crx a second chance at life, i truly believe cars have a personality and soul and this little crx is grinning from ear to ear
my only jip is raptor liner is notorious in drying and cracking a few years down the line as it becmomes brittle. Gravitex is a rubber based version wich is flexible and lasts a good bit longer. Awsome job man
This isn't looking "good as new," this is improved by a lot with better rust proofing and modern paint. Amazing work thus far and I can't wait to see what you do in your next video.
This little gem deserves a B16 engine, like the CRX I was fortunate enough to drive for a few months, back in the late '90s, had. What a joy to drive that was!
Seeing you doing all these body works reminds my dad, he worked his entire life to basically use a hammer to fix the body metal, water sandind and painting. I believe he worked more than 60 years doing it. He didn't have many tools, we had a very humble past but he showed me how's hard work, only using basic tools and his arms, but surprisingly, resulting in an amazing job, we couldn't tell the difference from the original and the fixed part. Thanks for your videos, keep sending it to us please.
I don't know how i missed part 3 of this build .... freaking RUclips man.... i have notifications set to all .... still missed it... going back to see part 3 Be right back😂❤
This restoration is amazing and incredibly detailed. Some people would say "why take so much time and effort on a 30+ year old Honda?". These cars were iconic in the first year's of the JDM/tuner movement here in the US. I've always been partial to the CRX/Del Sol/EF Hatchback. Awesome job
Love the progress! Very satisfying to watch all the hard work done to remove the rust and restore the body and frame back to new. Thank you for the inspiration to keep going on my own crx!
Just stumbled on this channel and my 10 month old son came running in the office and was hyper active but when I picked him up he started watching this video with me and he just got really quiet and I could see him just focusing and watching all of the steps you were taking on the body work. I'm gonna try this again later when it's time for him to go to bed.
Couglin's diet: cocktails and dreams ! 🍹 in this case Raptor and Flint grey on the rocks! Looking awesome keep up the great work - I love this channel 👌🏼
Great to see the progress & under-floor reinforcements straightening, ALL my ED/EF Civic & CR-X's need those repairs. Too many clowns think they can lift the car there! Must admit I now prefer to Epoxy Prime before filler, especially after removing a 'professionals' filler from the rear 1/4 of my '95 Civic with a paint scraper back to bare steel !
I'm writing to you from Puerto Rico 🇵🇷. Last night, while browsing RUclips, the algorithm recommended your channel to me. I went in and saw the beginning of this work, which I found excellent, especially the attention to detail. Success in the remainder of the restoration. 👍👏
You don't even know how she inspired me with her videos, after the season I'm going to completely renovate my motorcycle, keep it up, I love your videos
Commenting for the algo.....but I'm also absolutely LOVING this series. And lets not get started on the camera work....its like I'm right there with you in the shop! Excellent work mate. Keep it going!!!🎉
Staggers me the time and effort you put into not only the restoration but the filming and editing too. Top channel. Always nice to see the next episode pop up on my feed.
You are one of the best, you restore even the screws accordingly, meticulous, detail-oriented, and the restoration of the Honda VFR is unsurpassed, master of masters, greetings from Chile
Wow. You're a brave man painting it black - and very confident in your panel repair. Looking forward to seeing it. I havent seen a CRX on the road for years - they were everywhere once. Presumably the dreaded rust got to them like it nearly did to this one. Great video!
it's easy to get invested in your projects because i know they will actually be finished while i'm still living and that the end product will be extremely well done. thanks!
It's official..... your channel is the absolute best restoration channel. Your expertise and knowledge and the way in which you do the work is exemplary and perfection at its best. Some of the restorations you have undertaken in the past, and this one, would have been scrap to anyone else, yet you pull them off with style. Keep up the amazing work my friend!
You painted over perfectly good raptor liner with the body color paint?! 1 - you’re a madman. 2 - this obsessive attention to detail is why I absolutely love your channel. Keep up the awesome work!
You'd be the man I'd want to do my 2012 Hyundai Veloster. It would be better than new, and I mean that, my friend. I find myself watching your videos from start to finsh, no fast forwarding like i do on some i watch. YOU ROCK BRO!!!
These videos take me back to 1995. Having finished with uni, I took a job in the US, and brought a 1991 CRX HF; my first decent car (though it turns out the newest car I've ever had). The HF had the same 1.5 SOHC engine, but fuel injected, so even less power, but Honda gave it a 5-speed with high gearing, so it always felt a lot of fun. A lot of weight was stripped out of this car; crazy thin seats, rear seat delete (replaced by handy lockable storage, not even a parcel shelf, power nothing but it had an AC. When I returned to the UK (Belfast) I went looking to buy one, ended up looking at JDM models, ended up with a Eunos Roadster.
I can only imagine how satisfying it feels to see the light at the end of the tunnel for your current project. Your voice is relaxing and your skill is masterful! Thank you for allowing us to be on this journey! 😊
I love the amount of effort you put into your restorations. You go beyond just restoration. This car won't just be as good as new. This will be better than new when you are done. With all that rust proofing and prevention you've done. This car is going to look great, and last for many years. Love your videos. Keep up the great work.
I first found you restoring the Ducati 900 motorcycle and enjoyed the work you did. Since then I have watched a number of your restoration videos. The work you do is beyond description. Seeing you doing the CRX is another level of restoration that I enjoy seeing. Your accent is another of the attractions for me, it is intriguing. I hope you can continue this channel for a long time to come. I will always be watching for the next video.
Love the quality and variety of work you do in whatever project you take on, Your attention to detail is great to see and all condensed down to 19 minutes when in reality there are days and days of hard graft . Respect from South West Scotland.
The depth and breadth of your skills; both mechanical and cosmetic, are easily the best I have ever seen. UFR. The attention to detail and shop habits are of particular notice... So, yay!
Great work Bud. Love the little bit of Raptor Bossa Nova. Too cool. You should have walked in "the next day" with a bottle of Irn Bru or a can of Tennants just to underline the whole Scottish Stereotype! Keep doing what you are doing as we all just love it.
I've just watched Mr. My Mechanics weighing his filler to dab on his Datsun, and I get you painting your black Raptor coat black 'coz it's the only way to do it right. What a time to be alive! How did I get to be so lucky and spoilt rotten? I always want your vids to carry on and not stop, or at least get released like, twice a week. But then the job would be over too quickly I guess. Bloody excellent so far Mr. RRC 👏👏👏. In fact it's a full on, two thumbs up, Mr. Burns style ehhhhxcellent 😁. 😎
Hands down the craziest restoration on any car channel on RUclips next to the 240Z. Staggering how well this CRX turning out!!
Thank you :)
Totally agree

It's a bit frustrating how easy you make everything look, but that's what a good craftsmanship always do. Bowing my head in respect! 👍👏👏👍😊
Almost midnight in Australia here, perfect timing to chill out and watch this.
Nice, Enjoy :)
Same here in New Zealand
I love how you’re inching slowly, bit by bit towards the full face reveal!

Thank you you so much : )
Thanks RRC…… it’s mostly watching paint dry…. but awesomely filmed and very entertaining. 👍
Glad you enjoyed it :)
You are a very skilled restorer and your attention to detail is up and beyond no stone left it shows the rest of the world how we English and fellow Scotsmen do a proper job 🤣
That was a very satisfying episode, that engine bay is going to look so good when the car is back together. Amazing attention to detail.
Really happy to hear you are enjoying the way its turning out :)

The shaking is so lovely, more dance is better.
A sense of rythym too. Is there no limit to the depth of this mans talents?
Thank you so much :)
Please, do the 919 fireblade restoration (early model). It's one of the most iconic bikes ever. It will be pleasure to watch you at work.
