- Welcome to the final episode in the CRX Restoration series. In this episode I tackle the final jobs like finishing the flatting and polishing of the paint work, powder coating some last items, a bit of zinc plating and or course polishing all of the old faded light plastics as well as all of that I refit all of the exterior trims and moldings, fit a genuine SiR spoiler and fit the freshly powder coated wheels and finally take the car out for a spin for the first time in 8 months! Enjoy.

Restoration Of An 80's Icon - Honda CR-X - Part 11
Yet another masterclass of how to do a thoroughly good job.
No silly faces to the camera, or puerile humour, just quality workmanship, from somebody with talent.
Thank you so much, Im really glad you enjoy my work ethic :)
And the multiple camera angles and editing. Proper hardworker.
Yes I agree, too many RUclipsrs try to be comedians and fail miserably. It’s embarrassing at times to say the least. I told one channel that they are not comedians and why try to be? They told me that they will do what the F they want. So I unsubscribed and clicked the don’t recommend channel button.
i think there should be a vote for best job/film making
"My Mechanics Datsun z car"
"R.R.C. Honda civic "
both premier jobs, very difficult to split them i.m.o..............
edit ..i know where my votes going✊
i can not put in words how much i enjoyed seeing this classic being restored and back on the road. the crx is the first ever car that stuck in my brain ever since i was a kid. remembering the magazine title when the ee8 was tested against a golf gti "honda can put as many valves in an engine as they want, it won't be a gti" :D (crx is my most favorite car of all times)
Thank you so much for leaving that comment, I feel the exact same way about the CRX I've always wanted one ever since i saw it as a youngster like yourself.
"My fabrication skills can't be that bad" - Mate, your skills are on another level altogether, one of the best restoration channels on RUclips, easily.
Agreed. No other channel I have found even comes close.
A clean RRC sticker feels like the obvious choice.
Awesome vid as always.
Cheers. 🍻😁👍
Thank you cheers :)
I second this
To keep it Real. R R C R ... Brought back to life .by your good self ..😊
I third this, badge of honor
Yes! But in the font of an original CRX sticker. Possibly: RRC/RX
Torquing the wiper arms is nerd level restoration , and we love it
That's a beautiful little vehicle (Blista Compact)
Thank you so much :) The blista was always a favorite of mine :)
Best Channel on RUclips! So sad this build is over. It was such a joy watching you through this project. thank you
Thank you so very much, Im a little sad that its over too but its exciting to move onto another restoration ;)
Phenomenal work sir
This is old school hard work and skill using modern products. Mate you are brilliant, thank you x
Thanks for watching and leaving a comment :)
This is my favorite restoration on RUclips! Thanks for taking us along for the ride!
It has been an absolute pleasure watching this restoration. Thank you for sharing.
Thank you for watching :)
Waking up on my 30th birthday here in Australia to find an RRC restoration finale release is possibly the best present a man could ask for. What a ripper of a series! Can’t wait for the next one.
I put 201,00 miles on my 8-valve, 62HP CRX HF in 11 years. I hope you enjoy AT LEAST that many years and miles of fun this in masterpiece that YOU built! Your skills in executing this restoration AND documenting it are second to none. Mahalo for an excellent series!
Thank you so much, Thats a lot of miles just goes to show how well Honda built those engines ;)
Your choices for what to modify are exactly the ones I would have done. Even if the performance of the spoiler is debatable, it does belong there. Everything else, the headers, air intake, brakes, suspension, manual swap...perfect. The pacing on this build was pretty astounding for a one man show. This one was memorable. Thanks.
Thank you so much , I'm really happy to hear that you enjoyed the project : )
There is a perfection level and then there is an RRC perfection level. Best series so far.
Thank you very much for your kind comment :)
This is, by far, the best restoration series I’ve watched on RUclips. I’m sad to see it end, almost, but the results are so satisfying!
I was rooting for them from Japan.
Congratulations on completing it.
I could sense his good personality from the way he handled things and the carefulness of his work.
As a Japanese person, I am very happy to see Japanese cars restored in such beautiful condition.
Dōmo arigatō, watashi wa Nihon no kuruma to baiku ga daisukidesu: )
The fact that you kept with factory parts, kept a factory look, and didn't ruin it with body kits and huge wheels, means a lot. This was one of the most tasteful restorations on RUclips. Well done, sir!
One of the very few RUclipsrs that I will instantly like the video. Such amazing skill and dedication deservers it.
You're too kind, thank you so much :)
There’s car restorations and then there’s RRC. Absolutely sublime and all credit to you. Thanks for taking us on the journey. Looking forward to the next project already!
Wow!! Just WOW!! Looks fantastic and sounds absolutely amazing. Another top restoration. Love these older Civics and so glad you saved this one. 👍
Thank you very much, really happy to hear that you enjoyed it :)
Another job well done by Mr RRC. The amount of work you get done in such a relatively short timeframe is always astonishing.
Thank you so much for your kind comment :)
Loved this whole saga. Car looks great.
Thank you, glad you enjoyed it :)
Absolutely fantastic restoration, such attention to detail and the patience of a saint. Well done
your attention to detail makes me so happy. Every time you post a video it feels like my birthday, mate :D
Thank you so much, Im very happy to hear that :)
Another epic series. You are a testament of doing things the correct way. Patience is a virtue.
Much respect from New Zealand
So happy and Glad to see this one out and about, saved for another 20 years of service, thanks for sharing and I am looking forward to the next project.
Thank you so much, really glad you liked it :)
Just unbelievable attention to detail. It’s basically a new car. Phenomenal, well done, looks awesome
Thank you very much :)
For all intents and purposes you've built a brand new CRX. Beautiful work, as always.
Than you very much, I'm very proud of it :)
My, what a gem, and what an amazing time I've had watching you loving restore this classic. I love how even the smallest parts got the same treatment as the big parts. Every single piece of that car is immaculately done. I love the care you take with everything. Such a master at work. Thank you for such honest entertaining work.
Not one of the best, it is thee best channel on RUclips for restoration.
You're too kind :)
What about Tasty Classics? 🙂
He good tasty classics, i watch him aswell but he not in same leage as rrc @PedroPlckle
Wow, how on earth did you contain your excitement when you lowered the car onto it's wheels!! Your attention to detail and your approach of saving whatever you can to keep originality is brilliant! Thank you.
Oh believe me i was grinning from ear to ear when i first dropped it to the ground, even more so when i lifted the clutch for the first time and it drove just like id always imagined :)
master class in restoration. My sister has 1 and she loved it till the day someone hit her broadside and that was the end of her CRX. I sent her the video series to enjoy the show.
Thank you, really glad you enjoyed it. Im sorry to hear about your sister, hope she was ok?
You are a real magician! Never thought that old heap of metal would become such a wonderful machine again. Thank you for letting us be part of the process.
Great job, I remember when these were new, Better times.
Thank you :)
Stunning. I never realized how much I missed seeing these cars on the roads. There was a time when CRX was a common sight.
Wow!! Absolutely stunning. Another perfect job done by the most talented artisan on the planet. It looks AND sounds awesome. The sticker from the rear should be replaced with one that says “lovingly restored by RRC Restoration”
Well done you must be really proud mate!!
Thank you so much for taking the time to watch and leave that really kind comment :)
@ my pleasure mate. Keep up the good work.
Yet to see anyone else reach the standards you set in your work. Keep up the great work
You're too kind :)
If George likes it then it must be shinny. Beautiful paint.
I used to work for Honda. Love these little cars and you’ve brought it back to life.
You should be very proud. 👍
First thing before looking-->thumbs up!
Thank you :)
Another masterpiece, i just love how you really restored to its original beauty and didn't lower it or anything💯🙇
It amazes me how differently people can approach car builds. Casey's customs took another CRX and rebuilt it in a wildly different way.
Loving your work RRC
Thank you, glad you liked it :)
Your dedication to this restoration has been amazing and inspiring. This project stand high above your other restorations by far.
We are all under appreciating this guy's camera work
Mr Honda would approve. Superb work bro.
You sir are an absolute genius, the attention to detail is incredible,,thankyou for the videos, much respect to your talents
Kimbo
Thanks for watching and leaving a comment :)
What a journey! Thanks for taking us along. You now own a work of art!
Awesome job!
Good call on the intake. It sounds so nice. Not overly annoying or obnoxious. Perfect tune.
After watching every episode of this restoration (Faithfully, I may add!) I am at a loss for words! What a beautiful little car! I can imagine though there will be those who say " If it crashes, you will never get your money back!" They do not know the joy it gives to return something old to new again! Well done Sir! Bob and Teresa
Always great to hear from you, Im really happy to hear that you've enjoyed the entire series. I hope i never know what it feels like to crash the CRX but just incase I do have it well insured but that's not the point money cant replace the emotion that's now built into this car for me. Cheers :)
Thoroughly enjoyed this restoration mate. Love to see another bike restored. I used to read “The Broons” and “Oor Willy”. Made my day when I saw you read it. Can’t wait for the next restoration
Thank you, really glad to hear that you enjoyed the restoration :)
Another absolutely amazing project! We're all so fortunate to have someone like you putting so much work into creating a superb channel. Thank you!
I have ABSOLUTELY loved watching this restoration. If there were a concourse type of event for affordable cars, this CRX would win best of show for sure. I am sad it's over, but happy to see the end result. Can't wait for what comes next.
$8500 for a brand new car man. I would say your labor is an added cost, but we all know you truly love doing this. I never miss one of you episodes, you are top notch man. Much love from USA. Also, really enjoyed your morning routine at the end
Thank you so much for watching and leaving a nice comment it means a lot :)
What it's worth now, FAR exceeds that £8579 and then some! And rightfully so. :)
Well done! My sister had one when I was a kid and I loved riding in it! I wish Honda still made cars similar to this. Thanks for the videos.
The Fit is the spiritual successor if you can get over the styling its a proper track car base.
This is what you define FUUUUUULLLLLL restoration. Certainly give you 10000% props on the dedication to this restoration.
Was a pleasure to watch another one of your restorations and probably the toughest one yet. I think not many do it this good. She looks and sounds like a pleasure to drive.
Stunning work, your attention to detail is fantastic! It's good to see RUclipsrs who show work rather than spend all their time talking about it!
Thank you so much, I'm a firm believer that the work speaks for itself Im not a fan of channels that just " talk" about the job and you only get to see a brief glimpse of the work.
9.7/10 restoration series only because of that 1 video with the frame rate issues. It was an absolute pleasure, otherwise, to watch the entire series of bringing this iconic car back to life.
Brilliant work in just 8 months! Loved the series!
Thank you, glad you enjoyed it :)
This is probably one of the best examples in the world great job
What an ending, that looks absolutely cracking. I really enjoyed all the little bits of information you gave along the way such as why you paint the panels whilst on the car, etc. Really, really enjoyed this series and can't wait for the next project.
Thank you. This is hands down my favorite among all restoration video series of a CRX I have ever seen here. The model restored - an automatic 1.5X - was very unique, the work detail shown was worth all 11 episodes (seriously, never skimp on content this good), and the "one-man do it all" expertise was impressive. Personally, the CRX is my favorite among cars I could never own. I still don't lose hope to be able to afford a nicely restored one while I'm still able to drive. Congrats on a great restoration. Cheers!!!
Thank you so much for watching and taking the time to leave a comment :)
That car looks beautiful and sounds lovely! Absolutely great work preserving that one
Thank you so much :)
What an iconic car! I remember a friend buying one tax-free, when we worked overseas. It was an absolute weapon. Thank you for sharing 😊
Thanks for watching and sharing your memories with us :)
Congratulations on finishing the project. I'm extremely jealous. The CRX was one of my favorite cars back in the day. Thanks for taking us along, and try not to get too many speeding tickets.
Have really enjoyed following the process. Thanks for getting this gem back on the road! 👍
My word. Unbelievable. Congrats on another amazing project. Wish I had 5% of your skills and knowledge
Wow, thank you! :)
Well what can anyone say to that other than, ABSOLUTELY ASTONISHING. You must be very proud of yourself young man. FANTASTC WORKMANSHIP. Thankyou. Look forward to the next project. 👍👍👍
Thank you so much for that kind comment :)
What an amazing result! Really enjoyed the series. 8500 for what is basically a brand new CRX is a steal! Well done!
The attention to detail here is incredible. How has this man not got 1 million subs.
What a beautiful restoration! Just an amazing amount of work and you make it look easy. Great sounding exhaust! I winced every time you center punched for the wing!
The best car restoration channel on youtube.
Absolute awesome restoration. I enjoyed every video, seeing the progress unfold. Thank you for sharing with us!
What a rewarding ending to such an awesome series. Thank you again for creating and sharing!
No problem at all , thanks for watching :)
I am in awe. Congratulations, there wasn't a single inch of that car that wasn't restored or rebuilt flawlessly.
What an epic journey and being able to drive it off into the sunset I am sure brings its own emotions. Thanks for taking us along with you. When you were polishing at the beginning of the video I said to myself, "He is polishing his gem."
Thank you, it really did feel quite special driving this one for the first time knowing that i had basically built every part of it :)
@@RRCRestoration You probably built it better than the factory line!😁
Now I will see this serie all over again. So i can get going on my own -88.
Loved it 💪😍
27:33 seems like a good spot to put a decal of your RUclips channel logo
Your level of skill, patience and expertise is something to behold. It doesn't matter what you restore, weather it's an old vice, motorcycle or car, they end up looking better than new!! People cannot underestimate your utter dedication and damn hard work. I doff my cap to you sir. Be proud, be very proud. 👍🏻
The car came out amazing! Thank you for showing clips from the beginning to the end - it really made me appreciate all of the hard work that had gone into this.
Thank you very much for watching and leaving a comment :)
The car looks bloody incredible and your work is spot on!!
I am not a Honda guy, but I always wanted one of these. Great work and great series!
*When it comes to restoration videos RRC is right up there with MyMechanics as the two GOATs of youtube. My life would be infinitely complete if there was ever a Honda Varadero turning up in the workshop.*
Thank you so much for your kind comment , MyMechanics is awesome at what he does. Maybe one day you never know ;)
Stunning job, thank you for sharing. I had three CRX's, two 16v and a VTEC. Loved the quirks of them and the great designs, like the little glass window at the bottom of the tailgate that allows you to reverse easily, and the pressure relief (I guess) on the fuel tank which lets it 'sing' when sitting in the sunshine.
So much want for another!
Thank you, yeah they are awesome little cars :)
Congratulations!!! Yours is a Top quality car channel and there are thousands of them. I enjoy all of it. I would love to see an E30 in your talented and methodic hands. Cheers from Argentina!
Как и всегда - фантастическая работа! Восхищён вашим терпением и вниманием к деталям!
What an incredible attention to detail and work! And such a perfect day for a test drive! I would have afraid of every bump and turn after all that hard work! Great job and thank you for sharing the journey with us!
Thank you so much for watching and leaving a comment :)
My lord it's gorgeous in the sunlight. Such a epic car, was my favorite as a kid.
I don't think the factory had this car looking so good. Well done!
Congratulations on another stunning restoration, yours skills and determination are phenomenal, it has as always been a pleasure to watch you work, the final result is absolutely incredible.
Loved every episode of this restoration. Can’t wait to see what’s next. Thank you 🙏
Looks and sounds amazing - nostalgia trip from the late 80’s early 90s!! Thank you!!
This is the most perfect and beautiful resto. It's absolutely amazing.
Wonderful work from start to finish, you have a lovely car to enjoy for years to come now.
Thanks. Car looks amazing. Can't wait for the next project.
Thank you :) The next project will be coming out very soon.
Top job, and a joy to watch. I wish I had 1/10th of the mechanical talent of this gentleman!
Thank you for watching and leaving a comment :)
What a transformation 😮 you have some proper skills there sir. I love these nut and bolt restorations.
Excellent work. Great series! I hope someone from Honda sees this!
Complete and stunning. All of the episodes were a blast to watch and the outcome is spectacular. Well done!
Thank you so much I'm really glad to hear that you've enjoyed the series :)
This has been a wonderful series to watch, thanks for all the entertainment. 😁
No problem at all, thanks for watching :)
Well, we knew this day was coming and while I'm sad for us I'm very glad for you and what you've accomplished. Thanks for letting us go along with you and relive my youth (first car ever was a red '89 CRX).
Thank you so much for tagging along with me on this long journey :)
