Many thanks. This was very helpful. Unfortunately my cistern doesn't have a transparent front so I can't see what I am doing as clearly as you can, but this video set me o the correct path.

    A very helpful video.
I have just followed it as a guide to sorting out an overrun problem with my unit and it is now working perfectly.
    Really clear and accurate information.
    Thank You Very Much

Excellent - this solved my slow filling problem in seconds. With ten years of scale behind the filter I was able to dismantle it. Next time I'll stick the instructions next to the cistern. Thank you. It's a great unit in every respect.

I have a Thomas Dudley single flush TD212-A which has developed a problem. The first problem was that (and I don't know the correct names for these parts) within the green cap of the flushing contraption was a tiny rocket and flap which operated onto a diaphragm. The plastic clip here was broken but I have fixed that with a new drilled hole and wire, so it works. However to flush the loo, a single press of the button fails to properly flush. A one second press and the flush just stops. A ten second push keeps the flush working. So a short push just doesn't do the job any more. Nothing appears amiss. Help!

Yes but how do you get the cistern to empty through the front?

Here I am again with the same problem - the hollow float seems unable to lift the valve shut so I sealed the silly open ended float and still it is unable to lift the valve shut - I have reduced the pressure and flow to no avail. I get the idea of the valve is to equalise the pressure and close the valve but it is very problematic and i'm getting ready to change the whole Flusher if it continues.

I have a valve problem - the float raises but will not shut the water off and so it over tops the overflow pipe. Have cleaned the filter, checked the diaphragm and the tiny rubber seal in the lever control but still cannot get it to stop filling - HELP
