Munich Germany June 2024

In early June 2024, we visited Munich, Germany and wound up naming our excursion "Munchin In Munchen". We spent most of our time visiting food stores, shops, markets, street food stands and restaurants. With a few exceptions, we experienced great, classic Bavarian foods, croissants and pastries, wursts and other Bavarian delights. And the Beers! We also found staples that are hard to find at home in Portugal. Indeed, we found poppy seeds. horseradish, oregano seeds to plant in our herb box.
We enjoyed our few days of touring, dining and fun. We did a Hop-on Hop-off bus tour, dined in some classic restaurants, and lucked-out with the weather which worked in our favor most days.
We loved the architecture and we hold a special fascination with artisan doors. Overall, we found Munich a little pricey, but had a great time and much prefer this city over Berlin (where it is becoming difficult to find German Food.)
