Not usually a fan of carbon trim, but in this case, I'm happy to make an exception. Usually carbon trim (as opposed to a carbon tub) is all about the bling factor, but this is stealth carbon. It's a set of subtle details you don't even notice until you look a little closer, and I love that.

Congratz on your new 430! You asked us to chime in so heres the opinion: it looks GREAT in black. I love how its carbon bits blend in. The original owner probably thought a ferrari were flashy enough, but here are these carbon bits that only people whos familiar with the car will notice and appreciate. The color matched stripes to the rims are perfect. No haste changing the look of this one Jayemm! Gratz again.

I am a fairly recent viewer (2 years or so) of your channel. I grew up reading what car. Car etc from 1974 as a teenager, and loved reading the tests. Scoops, and stories. To be Frank I find hyper cars occasionally interesting. ( 200 - 300 plus mph down a Air strip..... Little drama except great engine noise... Thank god for that !) I love that you give space to try all types of cars, but testing a car, and loving it for weeks. Months or a year you get to understand if it is for you or not long term we're servicing. Parts. Maybe even mods to improve reliability. Drivability. These are some things I am sure you have considered (I have not yet watched the video, but the thumb nail warranted a comment!) now on to the video (sorry.. Film !)

I think you made great decisions with the cars you purchased and totally understand the reasoning behind each one. James, I’ve owned both. Great taste in cars. The 997.2 is fantastic, and honestly I was worried the Scud could not top the driving experience. I was not able to properly drive the Scud on my test drive in a major city. I took a leap of faith. First time I hammered it on a back road back home my worries disappeared. The V8 scream tops the mezger howl and seeing the horse on the steering wheel is much more special. Reliability is the only thing I worry about. I knew the GT3 was gonna start every time with no warning lights. Scud is just a matter of time.

Having such content as yours away from mainstream as a private individual, for me is the pinnacle of information. Genuine, honest....do I agree with everything you say? perhaps not but that is not worth the effort of mentioning. I love cars, always have, as much as you I'd say, but could I put together the videos with the succinct comprehension, repeatedly in a way that people enjoy. I doubt it. Good choice getting another one, I love that car. My neighbor has a red 16M Spider and I have never gotten tired of seeing or hearing that car. You should definitely get a 355 also, my buddy has matching purple F430s and 355 Spiders and they are just gorgeous. Once the car market goes back to normal I will probably get a 430, I think the 458 is hideous and the 488 and onwards are uninteresting and all seem to blend together.

Lets hope the rattle gets cured this time! If I had that kind of money I would probably go for a GT3 Touring, preferably in Cobalt blue or Speed yellow. As it is I have to settle to building myself a seven type of car, hopefully getting it registered next year.

Dear Jame’s, I love your honesty. It’s hilarious how you say that Ferrari’s go through suspension bushes etc when most only have 2000 miles on the clock!!😂😂😂

430 scud is ace and surely will come into its own by the end of the decade. Price wise I mean. 355 is a legend but I just feel the current modern classic hype will fade as those new classic owners realise the cost of ownership!

200 mph track cars with substandard, rattling OEM parts. Your channel is very entertaining, and buying used Ferraris keeps it poised on a knife edge.

I think this is the best spec for a Scud. I wouldn’t put gold wheels on it, but it’s not my car so please do whatever you want 😉

That car looks awesome in black with carbon everything and grey wheels/accents. Oddly, I love the wheels. Don't change them, I implore you! Try the front sway bar re the knock.

I really like the look of your 'new' 430 and much prefer it over the grey one. I also think the wheels should be gloss black, the present grey alloys looks a little soft .... good but soft.

I know that the cars you own partly support the channel, hut its interesting how a lot of RUclipsrs spend huge amounts on cars, but dont have enough room to park most of them at their house! Have you considered a Car Guys style building? No need for storage fees then... it was staggering how much Shmee was paying for a few grotty spaces in London.

The rattle can sometimes be caused by a broken welding point on the roof , you can literally flex the roof while pressing down on it . A common thing on f430 , supposedly ...

When I first heard you sold the scud a few videos back I thought, What!? Why!? etc etc. I even went back a few videos thinking I missed a video about it, I needed closure dammit.
Glad you made a video about it, and that you replaced it with another higher spec model. Out of the 3 Ferrari's you have the scuderia is my favourite, it's the special one.
Definitely change the colour on the wheels, a dark gold or bronze maybe to contrast the yellow brake calipers?
Whatever you choose I'm sure it'll look good.

Mad? You'd be mad not to have. Well done on what seems like a pretty cool spec Scuderia. Hope this one stays on the channel a bit longer-term. Love the shirt. Stay away from a 355. I loved mine but they are expensive to maintain, have known issues and whilst they have a brilliant engine they're a pain to charge the belts on.
