This guy is such a good song writer the record business never really got to him. He was doing soundtracks off the bat. He was an originator in this area. And his songs jam. Top Gun's "Danger Zone" is a jam.

Good news guys, Peter Jackson's AI technology can actually separate the audio frequencies of you two talking over one another in these more frantic installments of the pod. So one day Kenny Loggins' responses might actually be heard. (Kenny with the best FotW comment ever, by the way -- "my brother had ADD so I can follow this.") Great show, though - no joke folks.

@@KVonnegut For sure most of the guests are remote. Kenny was in their studio for this one I believe. I mean..it's possible to still set up split screen with video if they wanted to and I would bet they are on video chat with most of them. The guests most likely have people who could handle the "tech" stuff if they didn't know how themselves.

I've been listening to these two (Dana and David) since they started FOTW in early 2022, and for the most part, I love each episode. I've read many comments over the history of this podcast that address the fact that Dana constantly interrupts (which he does). He goes off on tangents, does his "voices" (McCartney, Dennis Miller, Loren Michaels -- of course), and *most* of the time, it's tolerable.
This time around, it actually DETRACTED from what probably would've been a great insight into Kenny Loggins. I mean, Dana sounded like he was literally on some type of drug -- and, he was even rude to David! It was painful. Kenny was amazingly gracious and was great about returning to the point of his story when he was so abruptly interrupted (on several occasions).
Please Dana, stop. We love you. We revere you. We just can't stand it when you won't let someone finish a thought or a sentence.

I normally love Dana’s bits, but the Tim Meadows one was the worst (poor Tim!) and this one deserved better too. Maybe it was recorded way in the beginning (we know they often are quite delayed in the release). But please keep it focused. Funny is encouraged, but focused.

I think Yacht Rock is coming from songs Key Largo, Sailing, Pina Colada Song, Dance w Me…and the images of Loggins and Messina on a Yacht, Eric Clapton at 461 Ocean Blvd., the Orleans cover w no shirts on…and maybe the fact that rock stars in the 70’s had yachts!!

Hey guys, just stick to having comedians and your SNL buddies on the show because you butchered both the McCartney and Loggins episodes. No research is done, you don't have any topics or questions prepared.. which would help in keeping YOURSELVES focused. And frankly, it's painful to hear you get facts wrong time and again.
