    That's so true. Recently my brother asked me what does meditation give me. I said it gives me clarity, emotional stability etc. His response was like - "ahh...I don't have problems with my emotions". And that clearly proves your point - you can't understand that your subconscious is in charge until you see what being conscious means. Even if you've been conscious only for awhile

    Weird to see this video today! I been thinking a lot why i dont enjoy doing stuff anymore that i use to like a lot.Going to the cinema,going to restaurants,just hanging out and talking about nothing for hours with my friends etc,none of this is exciting anymore (TV i havent watched about 10 years now).Strange thing this personal development,the more you do it the less consumer society entartainment you need.Spa´s,massages,holidays,live music events,absolutely no cravings for anything.
    You just wake up in the morning and feel good straight away without needing something to trigger that feel good emotion.

I tell you, after being away from the news so long, when I had to watch it again, it felt like an affront to my senses. I have a DVR with a fast forward capability. So if I have to watch it, I'll watch it a higher speed so they'll have to talk faster through it & then skip commercials...keeping me from having to waste more time.

    Golden advice and techniques here, building a new way of life is very hard but with perseverance and determination anything can be accomplished, I'm going to start noticing little by little the things that undermine my fulfillment and self-development and work those out, will take me months and years surely to drop these things completely, because I have probably become so accustomed to living with them that I will find it outrageous to "break free", thanks Leo, your videos are really helping me understand myself a lot.

    Leo, I've been meditating for around 2 weeks. Been watching your videos for around a week, trying to find what I'm missing. Everything you say makes sense. I want a lot of the things you say. There is a small problem. On your self affirmation video, I started that yesterday, I want to be a professional call of duty player. It's a video game that people make enough money to survive off of. I love playing video games, I want do do something I love. But I want this self actualization. I want to be a good person and be happy. I for sure don't want to be stuck working for someone my entire life so giving up my goal to be a professional call of duty player to be happy, get self actualization, and become enlightened. I feel I might as well move to Alaska and live off the land.

    I find that the phrase "stop and be mindful" is useful. If you say this phrase, and stop everything you're doing (even walking), you can stop the momentum of your mind. After saying this phrase and halting your mind for 5-7 seconds, you can put your mind at a standstill. This makes it so much easier to introduce new ideas (such as going to the gym). You don't even have to think "I need to go to the gym". You just have to halt your mind's momentum by saying "Stop and be mindful", then think about the gym. You will naturally feel like going once your lower consciousness stops its activity.

    Hey Leo,
    I can relate to you so well in a lot of your videos and you have provided me with many life changing insights and I can't thank you enough for your content, let alone FREE content!
    I have two questions for you:
    1) What is your birthday? You remind me a lot like myself, I am born on the 17th of August and I pay some attention to star signs as I feel like it gives me great insight into the people I come in contact with.
    2) How do you feel about the raw vegan diet? and I am wondering why you don't practice it yourself since you are all about sensitivity... I beleive that using animal products or inorganic food/water tampers with our DNA and, in essence, disables certain bodily functions that the natural plant based diet would provide us with? Embracing the raw plant based diet is by far one of the best things I have ever done in my life towards understanding myself and becoming the best I can be - by becoming sensitive. That along with daily meditation.

    • @Ebenia
      @Ebenia 8 лет назад

    • @Ebenia
      @Ebenia 8 лет назад

      +Ebenia I have to comment again: I so agree with you. The smallest actions if done every day accumulate to the biggest choices and energies in our life. I have seen it multiple times in my own life and in other people's life. Bad habits are very dangerous because they tend to leech into bigger things and bigger ways of thinking in our life and that causes a lot of problems and most people do not realize it. If we miss back bone in smallest things in life, how can we have backbone in the biggest things in life?

    Since you mentioned it. What are your thoughts about neurofeedback training? It is a little bit a controversial subject. Since it has been developed in the 70s/80s it has been claimed not to be a useful tool.
    Now it seems like it has a new comeback, but still there is no scientific proof for longterm benefits.
    People like Dave Aspery claim that its use has increased his performance and that he uses it for meditation monitoring.
    Do you think neurofeedback training is a useful tool to increase performance and/or monitoring your self ?

    • @ActualizedOrg
      @ActualizedOrg  10 лет назад

      I have used a heart variability monitor for a while under Dave's suggestion, but I think the real power lies in buying a real EEG machine, which will run you at least $1000. Although I haven't tried it, I'm pretty confident you can use that machine to super-charge your meditation. EEGs definitely work. They ARE the instrument that scientists use to make studies and proofs. So it works. The question is, what will you be able to use it for practically speaking?

    • @tanurix8486
      @tanurix8486 10 лет назад

      Actualized.org I totaly forgot about the heart variability monitor. How did this go? Did it make any changes for you in daily life?
      For the EEG the goals would be enhance cognitiv performanc and increase neuroplasticity. The potential of use seems huge. You could use it for meditation/visualization/learning/sleeping pattern/ fight anxiety/depression etc. But I am sceptical of the correct use of it and the longterm benefits or if it even could be harmful to play around with it. To asign certrain brain waves to certain brain states could lead to a false conclusion, because brain waves are more complex then just one state of mind.
      Some sources say that only a short-term increase in cognitive performance occur. For example games with neurofeedback, which occur exclusively at these games.
      Stil I am very curios about this subject and have to do a lot more research.

    • @ActualizedOrg

      Tanurix I didn't practice heart-rate variability training for long. It didn't seem worthwhile to me. I already meditate for 1 hour every day, so I don't really need it.
      Nothing harmful will come from using an EEG. EEGs are very accurate. Playing neurofeedback games won't produce any real benefits, but I'm sure you could meditate with the EEG and really get some serious progress quickly. I might buy one at some point and shoot a video review. That would be cool.

      Digesting that much butter and MCT oil is a challenge at first. The body has to get used to it.

    Please note the boiling frog story is not factually true. It can work as a metaphor but will only be so strong while it is false.

      Fair point! I've never tried boiling a frog, so yeah, take it as a rhetorical device.

      Can you make videos about principles and about organization?
      Can you also add products to buy from your website maybe like a logo shirt or mug or something?

    • @ActualizedOrg
      @ActualizedOrg  9 лет назад +1

      Matt Paulk Yeah, I've been thinking about doing Actualized.org T-shirts. That's a lot of work though. Not sure how big the demand will be for it.

      Your channel and site are very candid and a lot of us really resonate with the message. That accompanied with how you get us to do critical thinking makes me think that people would want a shirt not only to show support but as an extension of the channel off the Internet. For me buying merch is another step to make it more of a reality. I feel like a fair amount of people would like a shirt with the triangular logo on it. I know you avoid advertisements and such so asking us to buy merchandise in videos probably isn't your style but I bet it'd fit well in another State of the Union type video. Now whether it's worth the work you'd have to put into it I couldn't say.

    Mr Asbury is a wierd guy that makes fake pictures of hes ab's and just do's not tell the full truth about mold in regular coffee.
    Moral of the story:
    Check multiple sources and look at the methodology of a study before you take it as a fact.
