I've found everything in this video to be absolutely true in my own experience. When I don't have a vision, and a clear decisiveness on where I'm going, and why I'm doing what I'm doing, my energy becomes extremely ungrounded. It took a while for me to give myself permission to let go of my pain and simply step into a version of myself where pain just means I'm not making a choice and moving forward with my life. This has allowed me to have an incredible amount of Peace because there's no confusion. I always have clarity on where I'm going and why I'm doing it and this has given me only positives. Great video Leo! Thanks for being one of the people that inspires me to post videos every single day! Much Love 🙏

i can also relate to your experiences men.. its really important to have a clarity. knowing what you want exactly so that you can think how to work on it. the moment to know exactly what you want in life is also the moment you discover who you are

Even when you don't know what you want, it doesn't matter, life isn't about accomplishing goals, even tho it can be if that's your choice.
When I get stuck feeling lost, I just try to slow down my thinking and feel the feeling of being alive as it is. Does it ever strikes you thinking wow I'm actually alive rn? I get this often. Puts life into a different perspective and makes me grateful for just being alive. It's like I get this different taste in my mouth. Looking for things to do imo is just our ongoing attempt at avoiding feeling the present moment, every breath and just being alive. That's all that's needed in this life. Don't be hard on yourself, enjoy the boring bits, you're still alive! 😉

So often I feel stuck and unable to make a move. • @kevinluevano
      @kevinluevano 2 года назад +6

These are the most salient ideas for me:
      • Creating the Good Life requires a long series of clear, high quality decisions. Your decisions will make or break you, so you cannot afford indecision. To create the great life, you're going to have to make a series of bold decisions. These bold decisions will be scary and uncomfortable, but you have to remind yourself that the default not making them will never lead you to your highest potential.
      • The key to making good decisions is to honor your top values and to understand the concept of opportunity cost. Making good decisions requires wisdom, vision, experience, discipline, integrity, holism, big picture thinking, education, a sense of history, a lack of bias, and a clear, undistorted perception of reality. Most people are living along a path of the least resistance, chasing their base instincts, cravings and desires.
      • When you're decisive, you have a sense of direction and clarity of mind, and peace of mind. Indecision wastes energy because you don't know yourself well. It takes decades to discover your own personality, such as whether you're an introvert, extrovert, ambivert, highly intuitive, gifted athletically, or a good communicator. If you want people to perceive your highest values as money, sex, laziness, depression, judgment, hatred, dogmatism, closed-mindedness or lack of health, you must embody those values in your life.
      • It takes a long time to discover who you really are, especially if you've been traumatized when you were young. To succeed at life, you have to fail a lot, and embrace failure. Find ways to fail faster, and make decisions rather than stalling because you're afraid to fail. You could take a risk and relocate to a new country to take a job, even if you don't like the job or the country.
      • When you're not sure between two options, like becoming a filmmaker or a musician, you can explore both sides of the fork. Don't fret too much about making close decisions, and try to do both at the same time if possible. If you don't make a decision, you'll end up living in your parents' basement, playing video games and eating junk food for 10 years. Be willing to make mistakes and train yourself to make minor, mundane decisions before you make bold decisions.
      • To be decisive, you must get really clear about your values and keep working on them until they are rock solid. If someone sends you an email promising you to make money, you can easily say no because it's against your values. If a decision honors your top three values, that's an easy yes decision. Don't stall or procrastinate decisions. Observe the consequences in suffering that comes from backtracking and stalling on important decisions.
      • Become more decisive by making lots of decisions, observing the consequences of your decisions, pushing yourself to make them quicker, aligning your decisions with your top values, and practicing this combination of things over the next five to ten years. When you develop this capacity, it's very similar to developing the capacity of a sense of humor. You can also put yourself into positions where you have to make lots of important decisions.
      • Think through all the reasons why you've been indecisive, and contemplate how your life could have been better if you'd been more decisive. Developing your intuition, your creativity, your wisdom, and exposing yourself to massive experience will make you a great decision maker. The most powerful decisions in your life will actually be so strong they won't even feel or seem like decisions at all.

EDIT: 54:03 'It takes a long time to discover all this". At four years of age, I fell in love deeply with visual storytelling and knew what I wanted to work with this. I know what I should ignore and what to focus on. Two decades later after my decision in childhood, I landed a job in the U.S. entertainment industry (coming from a poor family in a third-world country. Had to work extra hard and was mostly self-taught before going to University). Conclusion: I was a very weird kid.

I found that I wasn't able to think of my "worst decisions" because I've become so used to re-framing "bad" experiences into positive growth opportunities. So even when I think about situations in which I've made some decision that has led to some suffering, I always see it as useful and helpful to my growth. To frame any of my decisions as bad or worst would be to regret which I don't see as helpful or even possible because I wouldn't be me now without every decision I've ever made.

Is Clarity the solution to indecisivnes?
Yes, it is. When your clear, all decision will be easy.
    But.
Clarity does not come from nowhere and it doesn't only come from thinking and contemplating. Clarity comes also from engagement, which actually needs decisions. So I think we also need to learn to make decision, when clarity is not yet there.

Thank you Leo. There's a lot of great advice in this video. I have an ENTJ personality type. You seem to be expressing either one of the xNTJ or xSTJ value sets for which the cognitive functions of the xxxP types have the cognitive functions but those cognitive functions are in their shadows. It is for those types of people that your advice can help provide balance.
Personally, at this particular time in my life I'm having particular problems making decisions even though I have an ENTJ personality type. This is because illness has knocked me off my planned trajectory. Having to now start from scratch to come up with new goals and plans at aged 54.
I wish you a joyful life.

28:28 I accepted the "scary and difficult decision" decision by selling my LA home (for 22 yrs) in 2021 July (closed escrow October) and moved myself and my mom to Austin, Texas (never been there) in Jan of 2022. When we arrived, it was a "snow storm" in Austin, Texas airport. I am so glad now, it was the BEST decision in, for and of my LIFE and for my mom (regional central hospital of 500 beds is 2 miles from our new home). Not to mension, I bought the house WITHOUT seeing it or visited it IN PERSON. Yes, no joke. Only pictures on Red-Fin. - I made that decision not seeing it.

Hi there, ever since I started on this consciousness path, I was able to tap so much into my consciousness and discover that I am Awareness and it all felt so good, but now my mind seems to be clamping down really hard, and it's like there's an entity in my head that's constantly over-reactive and causing all sorts of clenching or tightness in my body, it makes me unable to burp or fart or poop easily, it's amplifying the pain I feel from all sorts of things and feelings, and it's affecting my life really much. When I try to talk to this entity, I always get the same answers, it wants me to suffer, and the reason it is here is because of all the consciousness work that I did, and that it is killing it, so it wants me to stop, but I have already stopped for so long, almost weeks, but this entity is still here, and it's just making life harder and harder by the day, I'm like having constipation and bloating just from the fact that mind is so tight that it won't let me release, and my entire life is now centered around finding ways to burp and fart and poop. No matter how hard I try to make peace or be friends with it, it just stays silent, and gives me no answer, and whenever I even think about anything that's slightly triggering to it, like abiding in God consciousness, or meditating, or simply being jolted by sudden movements, and noises, it just goes absolutely nuts, and clenches up completely, making the top of my head feel like there's a clamp on it. I really need help on this, have you or anyone here encountered such a phenomenon before? And what would you guys recommend I do to put an end to this? Is there a way to come to peaceful terms with it? A way for it to just let go if I would stop the meditations? Do I just give it time to calm down? It seems worse and worse each day. Do I keep on practicing meditation regardless of how painful it is and maybe it will be gone forever? But it just feels worse and worse the more I do it, and it always comes back, and it feels wrong to be forcing things like this. I feel like my life is really going to end if I don't find any solutions, anyone who has any idea what's going on and what I should be doing, I would be so grateful to hear from you!

I intuit that I'm doing the right thing, even though it's uncommon if I look around me and that can be a difficult position at times.
