A fantastic Spitfire Cliff, looked very good in the cloudy sky!! Thank God the Luftwaffe don't like flying in the wind, as we could have had a Dog fight in our hands Lol 😄👍
Brilliant was looking at the willow on Ebay and ended up on your channel, will buy and try to follow your instructions I became partially disabled a few years ago but enjoyed building airfix and some balsa models as a boy thanks for the inspiration 👍
Guillow is a strange word but it's the surname of the founder of the company! Your background is pretty much the same as mine Lippoo, thanks for the comment 👍🙂
Lol, I read "Free Flight" and "Rubber powered" and while watching thought how fortuitous the wind was moving your free flight model around. Then I marvelled how long the rubber motor was lasting. But when the loop occurred I though 'Hey, wait a minute' and re-read the description! Nice conversion Cliff. 😁😂🤣
Thanks Jo, that would have been one fantastic flight if it were free flight wouldn't it? I love experimenting as you know but I think this model has gone about as far as it can now 👍🙂
@@CliffHarveyRCPlanes Hey Cliff. I'm OK. Still trying to fettle the FT Spitfire, but I've flown it at least. Got a Dynam Spitfire to sort out - hoping to fly this week. Hope all is good with you!
She really coped well in that breeze! I'm looking forward to getting going on my part built project I recently picked up. Busy with a Comet atm but its on the list! I just hope it works out as well as yours! 👏
Hi Issra, bigger ailerons would be the better way than just increasing throw, so yes, go for it. If I was starting from scratch that's what I would do as well, cheers ☺👍
Hi Robert, no, the horns are short as they are and the servos are linear, which means I can't increase the throw using longer horns on that end. The only way would be to increase the size of the ailerons and/or fit rotary servos, but given the fact they were fitted afterwards I just happy it banks at all 😁👍
"GOOD SHOW, CLIFF!!" Flies better than the last time you flew the Spitfire! "CHEERS!"
Thank you Richard, she's a tough old bird as well, I think tissue adds a huge amount of strength to a structure 🙂
Excellent flight, those white clouds made the perfect background.
Thanks Brian 🙂
@@CliffHarveyRCPlanes Just needs a little sound track of a Merlin V12 purring away in the skies.
That did do well in the wind and a nice shot of the windsock, so we can see just how windy it was. 👍
great stuff.
I was hoping to maiden my Atom Special the same day but it wasn't to be Stephen but at least the dust was blown off 😁👍

Actually it would have been great to have had a German plane to chase around the sky, a nice short streamer for excitement 😁
Very impressive in that wind Cliff. Nice VTOL landing. Nice track, sounds like something from Tron. 👍🏻
Thanks Chris, yes, I was thinking Tron as well but it's not quite a Merlin 👍

Glad to see you stay with it . Rubber to RC nice.
Thanks Stephen, it was worth the head-scratching 👍

@@CliffHarveyRCPlanes The model certainly flew at a nice rate of knots.
Gotta love the spittie.
She did quite well in that wind.
Yeah better than i was expecting, slippery little ship Terry 👍
Great piloting skills! That landing looked more like that of a Harrier!
Thank you DC, wind is funny stuff really, downwind and control is limited but into wind and a total beginner can 'fly', thanks for your comment 😁👍
A Spitfire patrolling the English skies, looking for Germans.. it never gets old. Thanks Cliff! 👍
Thanks Jerry, you're right, the following weekend there was Focke Wulf sniffing around but the Spitty was back in the hangar, shame 👍
Wow very impressive Cliff 👏 flys excellent
Cheers JE, it's surprising for such a small bird, it's pretty docile really, tip stalling is non existent 👍
She flies great Cliff. Just lost a small one. Left her get to far away, and lost orientation. The old saying, "You can't fly it, if you can't see it".
Thanks David, and that's an excellent saying unless you're flying fpv of course 🙂
CG looked perfect this outing, well done Cliff, Oh Yeah, Jeff in LA USA
Thanks Jeff 👍
Looks great, Cliff!
Hey Daren, how you doing? Thanks 👍

No reason why it shouldn't Mike, a chap of your calibre 👍😁
Very nicely made. Say I wanted to copy your model but make it capable of rolling, would increasing aileron area be all there is to it?
Hi Issra, bigger ailerons would be the better way than just increasing throw, so yes, go for it. If I was starting from scratch that's what I would do as well, cheers ☺👍
Super!
Cheers Bob 🙂
Muy bueno cliff
Gracias Alfredo 👍
Muito bom Cliff
👍🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷
Gracias amigo
Thanks for sharing. Will you be able to adjust the ailerons to enable the plane to roll?
