Such a terrific player. Deceptively strong. Always gets by the first few tacklers. He’s so consistent. Irelands backrow is extremely dominant now. Jack Conan, Caelan Doris, Josh Van Der Flier, Peter O’Mahony, Gavin Coombes, Nick Timoney, Cian Prendergast, Max Deegan, Scott Penny, Marcus Rea. So many options. And that’s just to name a few of them!

@@duffy360l He’s definitely a big fella but he’s actually relatively light in comparison to his height. He’s 16 and a half stone. Jack Conan I’d 18 stone. Duane Vermuelan is 19 stone. CJ Stander was 18 stone and only 6ft 1. Toby Faletau is 18 stone and 6ft 2. Pablo Matera is 18 stone.

True before Max’s knee injury last season Caelan and max were equal. I can see future where they both play in the same back row. They’re still so young
