How to make an easy and simple Leather Bible Cover.
In this video I show you how to make your own simple and easy Leather Cover for a Bible, notebook, etc. This tutorial is just an example of a leather cover but feel free to modify it and the design the Leather cover to your needs.

I've learned that if you measure out 4x the length of what you have to stitch and then some extra, you'll have enough to do the whole thing with just that little bit extra left. The extra just gives me peace of mind and makes the end easier to stitch

Love it! The cover recently fell off my Bible and I’ve wanted to recover it. I also have an old leather jacket of my dads just hanging in my closet that I thought I’d like to use to make my cover. I want to do a good job the first time and have read and watched many tutorials. Your method looks perfect for me! One question: what is that stitch called that you use to do the stitching all around so I can learn how to do it? Thank you so much!

It’s called saddle stitching. Pretty easy to do and there are lots of tutorials online to learn the process!

When you are punching your stitching holes do you put the punch in the last punch you did?

Yes, and the last two holes if you want a more accurate and straight line.

I just scrape a line where stitching will go and then use my stitching fork punch to make the holes.
