I commented on one of your other videos recently. I am starting my leather making journey later in life. At 54 I am a Desert Storm Veteran with PTSD and I am thinking that leather working would keep my brain and hands occupied. I have been making paracord for about 7 years now and while it is fun, it is just not interesting anymore. I also do coin roll hunting but that gets very overwhelming sometimes when looking for errors. I also think it would be a great way to make personal items and gifts (for family and VFW family). Thanks for the great videos. I will be watching more.
🇪🇦 Muy bonito. Siempre los miro vuestros videos, aprendo mucho de como trabaja, me fijo mucho en la tecnica y en el detalle, que es ahi donde de haya la diferencia. En como haces las piezas. Excelente.
Thanks for sharing such a great video. I swear, they just keep getting better. I really loved seeing Cloe and also how you reheat your coffee. The angles you shoot when you were edge beveling close up were sweeeeet. I am so glad to see you sharing knowledge and greatly appreciate the time you take to make these videos, mistakes an all. Looking forward to your next episode. I want to make one of your "Stitching Stallions" (it reminds me of a Gypsy Vanner horse.) too. :)
I really appreciate the support and YOU taking the time to comment! More videos coming soon. May do some of Making leather tools with my son. And another stitching pony.
Chloe needs a white hard hat and a clip board for those daily safety inspections. Obviously I'm not watching them in order but another great video and a product I'd like to try and make down the road. I'm only one tiny minimalist wallet in on my leathercraft hobby. I just wish leather was easier to purchase up here in Canada.
Jimmy - super talented! Great work. Great videos. Anyone who’s seen his stuff has to appreciate everything about it and him. And, he’s such a good guy. Super nice. Would do anything for anyone. (I’m also a huge Casey Neistat fan.🤘)
@@MasconLeather I agree. We need more great and talented "makers" sharing their skills, creativity and products. Good editing and production values show and make the videos so much more enjoyable. Keep up the good work.
Very pretty. I always watch your videos, I learn a lot from how you work, I pay close attention to the technique and the detail, which is where the difference is. How do you make the pieces? Excellent.
Is the pattern for this notebook available? I looked on your website but am not able to find the pattern. I would like to purchase it to get the dimensions for the inserts. I know the overall is 6 1/2X8 but I don't see the inside panel sizes. Thank you
Whats with the stitching clam? Did you make it? The first time I saw it (in one of your other videos) i wasn't sure about it, but the more i see it, the more I like. I might have to make myself one. Dig your shop. Great video. Keep'm coming!
Thanks! Yes, I made it years ago. I need at least 7” along the top for stitching... and at least 30” throat for larger pieces to go in. So, I designed it and made it. It’s priceless
I'm really in love with your videos! I love how you do them, I sincerely believe that you do them with the same affection with which you do your work in leather. I follow you here and on Instagram and.... decidedly, when I'm older, I want to be like you!! (sorry for spelling, my mother tongue is the spanish and I find it very difficult to translate into English)
That's an interesting style of stitching pony! I have been building them for a while and I may just have to copy that... if you don't mind. BTW.. were you USN?
I was not in the usn. I was in the Jrotc in school .... but that’s not the real usn. If you’re referring to the tattoos, there are a lot of stories behind them all, and my last name is Shell. 👍
One day I will slowly buy your tools even if one at a time. Sadly by the time I had some extra cash I looked in the factory secondhands and all were sold out
Damn, that use of the rulers to square things up is so simple and effective! Also, I really like that circles-tool (the brass-coloured one) of yours! Did you make that yourself?
Quick link to some tools: www.masconleather.com/tools-gear
That double use of rulers blew my mind. Its so simple and effective and keeping things square. Gonna steal that trick!
Thanks! Yes, always looking for efficient tricks.
I love leather!!! Im so excited again my project also
Perfect!!!

Field trip or trip out to the field ha ha ha, Nice looking cover Thank you for sharing!!!
😆 my plan is to take longer field trips with each video. To different locales. Spice it up.

Excellent stitching pony setup. Really dig it. Nice work.

Awesome work and great video. Been binge watching ur channel. Did you make the boots as well?
Thanks for watching!!! I did not make the boots
What weight do you normally use for wallets? 5-6oz for that field notes would make for a beefy weapon, eerrr wallet.
5/6 oz
Yo al doble uso de reglas que ya lo estoy aplicando le he llamado "transferencia de lineas" es un crsck. MUY PRACTICO.
👍
If you don't mind... What kind of pricking irons/stitching chisel are you using?
Made by Kevin lee
@@MasconLeather Looked him up, looks like nice stuff and a bit less than Barry King.....
Thanks for show your work. What thickness of leather did you use for this project? Thank you very much
5/6

May want to keep an eye out..... I’m planning on making another soon. With maybe a 10” top run. 😉

Great video work, and ofcourse your leather work is the finest!! what card stock do you use for your patterns?
Thanks!! If you look close..... I usually use cereal boxes for patterns. 😆
@@MasconLeather haha! i did see that once, and said no way!! thanks!
I’ve used a lot of “stuff” over the years .... cereal boxes are the best for me. Some are denser than others I’ve noticed. But most are great.
Hello, I was hoping you could tell me the name of the tool you use to crimp the edges tight together after you glue it??
Hey! Leather pliers. Amy roke brand
Thank you very much! For the info and your videos! Very well put together
Quick question! Is this for the small or large field notes?
Small
Where did that circle template come from. Seems like a really handy tool. Never seen anything like it.
A Russian maker. If you look at my Instagram page, I tag them in a few posts. You’ll see a close up of the tool

Good afternoon! Great video. You have a great sense of humor! Is it possible to get a link to the store of tools that you use in your work?
Thank you! Google ZeeBee Leather Blog. He has a whole list with links.
Where do you get your leather? What weight is it for this project?
Horween- 5/6 oz
Is the bone tool just to hold the work in place to pull out lacing chisel?
Exactly. My son made that for me.
Nice it’s beautiful thanks for the great videos.
What type of skiving tool do you use?
Made by ibex iron works.
Wow!
🤘
It's possible to buy this pattern ?
Not yet. But thanks for watching!
