I finally got mine on the seventh earlier this month (Seventh of August 2023). I've loved it ever since I got it! I tend to play PC fangames more than my Steam library, though I have started playing some of my Steam Library on the Deck like Starbound with workshop mods!
Men people don't know how big the steam deck is in person I just got my today. RUclips Videos on the steam deck makes It look medium size but boy oh boy the steam deck is MASSIVE in person!
Looking back at it does have like a smear or scratch on it. That could have been caused by me when I was using the box cutter, but it works just fine. You have a good eye bro lol.
@@faristriesgamingtech wish the battery lasted longer but that's my only complaint. And not being able to play fortnite or call of duty without installing windows but no big deal cause so many games to play still lol
@Sassi Yeah the battery life is my only major complaint as of now, Also Steam does have so many games I spent a good hour or so adding stuff to my wishlist last night 😂
64 gig is absolutely worth it. Trust me I am telling this from experience. There is no difference in loading games from ssd or sd. I have all my games stores in sd and load from sd and I prefer the screen on 64 gig than the 512 gb. I owned both. But sold 512 gb earlier.
Thanks, good to know. I definitely don't regret getting the 64GB because I can always expand the storage if I want to via microSD or an SSD upgrade. Now if there was some sort of performance boost with the more expensive variants than I would have probably gone with one of those lol.
Sent mines back for RMA had a issue with it freezing damn I miss the hell out of it can’t wait until my new unit arrives , enjoy brother you will take this system with you everywhere. “YOUR GAMES ARE GOING PLACES”
Bro there's hardly any difference between the carrying case that you bought and the one that comes free. You say it can carry more stuff but that's obviously not the case (no pun intended) and the Jsaux added width seems to be to accommodate the built-in straps. It cant carry any more or less than the free one.
The 64 GB that comes with the Deck is not enough at all you’ll probably be able to download maybe 1 game depending on the size of the game but after installing a micro SD I feel like I have enough storage to get by although I do wish I purchased a bigger micro SD. I you want the SSD speeds then I would say go for it but if you just want more storage going with the cheapest Deck and using a micro SD is probably the best way to go in my opinion in terms of value, since you don’t get a performance improvement with the more expensive Decks. Hope this helps!
I really want one but idk, the battery life being ~1 hr for heavy gaming is such a bad sale for me😔i dont really play small indie games so i would never see the 5+ hours
Completely understandable, demanding games especially the latest AAA games will be very taxing on the battery life. I wish it had a larger battery as well.
Eh. Steam deck is more comfortable, has better battery life, has a better os, isn’t made by asus, has more back buttons, has trackpads. The ally does beat it in performance and the screen is better but that’s about it.
The OEM one is fine, in fact it’s very high quality and rugged. I just got the Jsaux one because it has a little compartment to carry some accessories like a power-bank, AirPods, etc
Nice video. I am also on the verge of buying a steam deck with the same items 👍🏻 the software support valve seems to give to the deck is great.
Does the steam deck with the Spegen cover case fit in the original carrying case?

Awesome, glad to hear that you enjoy it!
Good choice on the steam deck its a beast and you can do so much on it.
Thank you, I’m really looking forward to play it!
5:00 Wait, why do you need to buy a carrying case for the *Steam Deck* of all devices? It’s got it own; is the OEM one *that* bad?
This is what I was thinking too.
I love my deck! Got the 512gb with a 1tb sd.
That’s awesome, I’ve been playing mines so much!

Seriously! In person the Steam Deck is massive, in RUclips videos it looks much smaller.
You get used to it it did me like that at first it’s gonna eventually become the most comfortable handheld ever
The steam deck is huge true. But that first feeling when you pick it up and grip it and just go... "huh this goofy ahh deck ain't that heavy wtf"
did your power adapter have a wrinkle on the brick portion. i swear i saw a big wrinkle on the brick.
Looking back at it does have like a smear or scratch on it. That could have been caused by me when I was using the box cutter, but it works just fine. You have a good eye bro lol.
I hope your enjoying it.
Thanks man, I’ve had lots of fun with it!
Got mine a couple days ago also. Love it
Glad to hear, I am enjoying the Steam Deck a lot!

I hope your new unit arrives soon, I’m super excited to see what this handheld offers!
the ROG Ally is available for pre order
Seriously considering getting that as well!

Is the 64 GB version enough if I use also a external SD Card or should I buy the 256 GB version?

Would i be in trouble for ordering a Steam Deck by not playing games on my computer?
Because this is up to me to ask them because I'm a valve customer.
No, you shouldn't. The Steam Deck is a computer in itself just in a handheld form. You should be just fine playing Steam games on it. Hope this helps.

Save up your pocket change and Buy 3 of them 😉
Problem solved 😌
