It has come to my attention that Red Dead Redemption has a bug where if you change the Frame Buffer size from 1GB to 4GB it will not auto allocate past 4GB. All other games to my knowledge at the moment work fine and can actually get an increase in performance.
Regarding A1 vs A2 SD cards, I am going based on US pricing, but some A2 cards are as cheap as A1 cards, so why not get the faster card. Doesn't mean you have to, I would just shop around and see what best suits you. A1 cards are still great and perform very well.
i read somewhere that the steam deck sd card reading is capped at 100mbs so i mean if the price is the same as an a1 why not buy an a2 right but for people on a budget woulnt it be better to buy an a1?
@@dravyn757theicedragon8 I have a video coming up about this, but another thing to keep in mind is the write speeds when installing games. The A1 cards that I have take a while to install games, the A2 card I just got installs them significantly faster. But yes keep your budget in mind and if an A1 card makes more sense, by all means get an A1.
@@Shahrukh_Ali i didnt think of write speeds interesting looking forwards to the video
Will there be any issues when playing red dead redemption in changing the frame buffer size from 1 to 4? or it is still ok if I does not auto allocate past to 4gb? thanks
@@abbzky You could lose on performance. I haven't played red dead 2 yet so I cant really say much more.
Bro, I am absolutely loving this presentation. It's like a realistic conversation and you don't include a million stupid little jokes like other people are doing well spoken and very clear audio. You earned an immediate subscriber out of me and I'm not even getting a steam deck for a while.
I appreciate that! Im still working on how I want to voice myself and I think you helped me out decide on how I want to do my content. Thank you!
@@Shahrukh_Ali oh hell yeah man!
thank you, i just got my steam deck a little over a week ago and had no idea i should've changed the frame buffer size. i was also surprised to see you had 400 subs because the quality of the video was great. subbed!
Thank you! Appreciate it.
how do you only have 900 subs!?! you deserve way more! keep up the amazing videos! i just ordered my deck a few days ago, cant wait to get it!
super cool video ! thank you for the clear and nice explanation ! your channel deserves to be more known !
This is a very impressive explanation/ tutorial on the deck settings much thanks and please do more setting videos on plugins like the contrast shaders that give the pseudo switch OLED look or a Proton guide.
Thanks! I do have some other videos planned for the steamdeck including Decky.
Very good! I needed this a few weeks back, still some info I didn't know today... keep up the good work!
Thank you!
Can't wait to see your channel grow! The video was well made and very informative
Tankoo!
Just ordered my SDeck today and I’m glad this video popped up in my recommendations!
Finally took the plunge and ordered mine yesterday, can't wait to have a play around on it when it arrives.
How do you like it 4 months on? I just ordered mine today
@High TIMES I love it, it has been a breath of fresh air. The battery life can be quite poor depending on what time of game you play so I would suggest buying a power bank when you can (if you plan to use it on the go) but obviously you can play with it plugged in for however long you like. Overall I have been very impressed. I've played and completed God of War, Uncharted and Days Gone, to name a few and they all look and run brilliant on the deck. I've been very happy with my purchase and I still use it on a regular basis.
Very helpful tips. I am truly loving my Steam Deck OLED and the advice about increasing the framebuffer to 4gb actually did seem to help some of my games. This device blows me away with what it is capable of.
I'm in my 40's and the only reason I own a Nintendo Switch is to legally play first party Zelda and Mario games. To me, the Steam Deck is a way better value for the money as compared to the Switch.
100%
Have both and amazed at the Steam Deck
Man idc about piracy. The day I figure out how to get any switch game i want in the steam deck. My older is being sold
You can emulate without it being piracy.
Backup the ROMs yourself. Both legally and morally fine 👌
But you do you, I'm sure you've heard this before. 🙂👍
I got it for emulation
ordering my steamdeck this, and this video here has been; BY FAR, the best helpful tip vid ive seen. thanks man! looking forward to future content!
Awesome, thank you!
how do you only have 300+ subs with such a great and yet simple video, SUBBED! look forward to more steamdeck videos or general tip video
Thank you! I really appreciate it.
Fantastic video showing some little nuances for us new Steam Deck owners! Instant subscribe based on how informative this is and the breakdown for each piece of information. Thanks a lot!

I'm a complete newcomer when it comes to PC gaming having purchased a Steam Deck yesterday, these tips are very helpful. Thank you!
You're Welcome! Hope you enjoy it as much as I do
Just got my steam deck and appreciate the tips. I also like the production value and delivery in your video! I look forward to watching more of your content.

One of the best videos ive seen regarding this topic man. Great job man👌🏼

Great tips! I’ve just ordered my Steam Deck and have been buffeting on Steam Deck videos lately; these tips will definitely help me get running when it arrives! +subbed! 😄
Glad it was helpful!
Amazing the sort of quality content being put out on a tiny channel like this. Script, editing, presentation all on point too. Keep at it!
Didnt even realize it was so small till i saw this, you got him my sub that way xd
Just subscribed! Really like your content and your setup 👌🏻👍🏻
Best home setup ever is with a dock that let you attach a portable hard drive, I got 2t or the portable 1t on the sd card and upgraded the internal storage from 64gb to 512 my emulations alone got well over a 1000 games. It awesome watching my friends mouth wide open looking at damn near a endless collection of games that you can play on any controller.
Great tips. I am expecting mine in Feb and these tips are something I am going to follow. Saved this video for reference. Thank you.
Glad it was helpful!
This was a great video! Helped me a lot!Thank you!
You deserve more followers onggg!
Glad it helped!
great tips will definitely implement these can’t wait to get my steam deck this week!

Exactly what I was looking for. Thank you. Can’t wait for Thursday when my steam deck gets here.
Great video! Clean and direct to the informations was really helpful! Never had the chance to own a gaming device but i got my steam deck! I dont know stuff like this so this helps me to understand more!! Thank youu :)
No worries!
I really like the way you made this video. Clean, useful, easy to watch. And the audio? Spotless. Audio is the biggest problem among youtubers by my opinion. Keep going man :)
Thank you! I appreciate it.
Just got my Steam Deck this week and this video was super helpful. Thanks bro.
Thanks! Enjoy your deck
Really good stuff here! Thank you for creating. You’ve earned my sub and like. Looking forward to seeing more in the future.
Thank you!
Great video. Production quality is awesome.
Really appreciate that!
The frame rate limit I had already set because I like to have as much frame rate as possible and the rest is of no use to me but the change of ram in the BIOS changed everything for me
I didn't understand why the games seemed to lag like that
Small details but big change in the end, thanks for that
I like my steam deck more and more in addition to my Switch
I know I’m late but I just got my steam deck and this video was so helpful! Thank you!
Subbed. What a great informative presentation. You will go far with this channel.
Thanks!
Thanks, this is really helpful. Finally found a video that really giving tips.

Thanks for your information. This is really helpful for me when I get my steam deck.
Nice. Enjoy it.
Great video! ordered a 512 Gb Steam Deck that should arrive in a couple days so this is appreciated.
Aye, enjoy your deck!
hey brother just came across this video. keep up the hardwork, loved the way you did everything!
Thank you!
Dig your delivery here. Just ordered my deck. The bios bit, tips like that, im on the hunt for. This video was a good find. Thanks!
Glad it was helpful!
@@Shahrukh_Ali is a BIOS tip like that applicable to any PC or just APU? I have a laptop with a 3080ti and feel like it’s not hitting its peak performance
Lots of great advice, and I appreciate the vid. Subbing for sure.
Thanks!
Thanks for this video, I hope you'll have more subs because you deserve it, your channel is actually cleaaan !
I appreciate it!
Great video, well made and very informative.
Thanks!

Great video mate! Very informative and simplistic walkthroughs, keep it up and you'll grow significantly I feel.
Thank you!
@@Shahrukh_Ali no worries man! My Deck should arrive this week so will be following all your steps! Big love.
Amazing editing quality on such a small channel. Def sub. Great work and look forward to seeing you grow. Thanks for the SD tips.
Just ordered mine late last week.
Much appreciated!
Super helpful, good video quality and poise.
Glad it was helpful!
This was great bro!!!
Appreciate it!!
Great video. Will rewatch when my deck gets here in 7 days.
Hope you enjoy it!
Great video! I'm not very tech savvy, but this was very helpful. Thank you :)
Glad it was helpful!
nice video! very well made, keep going!
Thank you!
That website one is hella good, thanks so much for that!
No problem!
thx for the video buffer size trick!
One that is kind of similar to emulation in that it is for the steam deck but doesn't come with it, people should try to install decky for the steam deck which is just steam deck homebrew and it allows users to install extensions and stuff, really cool and one of the most popular extensions lets users change the vibrancy of their deck since the steam deck's display sometimes seems a bit dull
edit: just saw that you seem to also already use it, surprised it isn't on the list
It's a great extension, I 100% agree, wasn't on the list as its something you should install after playing with the Steamdeck first. I am going to make another video for it specifically but I appreciate you suggesting it!
I also love the protondb badge on games!
@@Shahrukh_Ali I love using decky, It made having custom boot animations very streamlined and I can have a bunch that it shuffles through.
Oh really?? I gotta look then cuz I did it the other method that Valve listed.
@@Shahrukh_Ali yes! There's a plug in all about animations, boot up and suspending. I forget what it's called but animation is in the name. You can download straight from the plug in and from what I saw its ever growing and basically has the same ones I've found on the reddit page for the subject.
First video that is really useful - thank you
You’re welcome
Stop. I'm gonna give you a thumbs up. Here's why. I've been watching steam tip and tricks videos endlessly since I bought my steam deck which I should be Opening within the next maybe 12 hours or so and you are the Only one so far who told me I can change my boot up video. See I am big on presentation for myself or to others. I like to Wow people and I wanna use a device thats TRULY my own. It makes MINE different, And for that I thank you. Like this video and subscribed.
Another one is to make the UI look how you want it with CSS Loader through Decky Loader. You can make edges round and set up dark mode
Awesome video bro!
Thanks! I appreciate that.
Thank you brother my Steam deck is coming tomorrow and i will use the tips and all you provided!! :)
You’re welcome!
Well made video good tips thanks!;)
Glad you enjoyed!
Love the Zero Custom and Strike Freedom Gundams you have in the corner
Solid youtuber. Keep at it dude.
Thanks, will do!
Thank you so much got mine yesterday!
Enjoy!
I'm at work right now but mine was just delivered to my house and it's killing me!!! The only reason I got one was to play the higher alphas in 7 days to die! But I'm definitely going to use some of not most of these tips! Thanks so much man!!!
You’re welcome!
Super helpful, thank you 🙏
Glad it was helpful!
I would recommend getting a Bluetooth keyboard and mouse, especially for desktop mode. I also have a Nexdock 360 which has a keyboard and trackpad built in. This way I can use it similar to a laptop. I do this since I have World of Warcraft installed and running on it (with SteamOS and GE Proton).
I have some Logitech one that also has a trackpad on it for desktop use. Very handy.
@@Shahrukh_Ali yes. I have used mine in desktop mode for Steam games that aren’t supported fully. It’s basically the only PC gaming machine I’m using now.
@@ericbarlow6772 Thats sick
Good tips man thanks.
Hope you find them useful!
incredible production quality, your channel should be bigger haha
I appreciate that! Im working towards it. Soon enough Inshallah
Great video just ordered my steam deck
Hope you enjoy it!
this is nice I have a nreal air cant wait to get a steam deck to match. would love to have 3 screens and use it as a all in one linux machine but that is not there yet
Hey great Video, actually stuff I didn't knew. cool
Thanks!
super sweet video! question: what projector do you have? that was an awesome setup!
Its one from Apeman but they stopped selling it for whatever reason on amazon
I ordered a steam deck Friday night, got the shipping notice Sunday, it’ll be here Wednesday. So if you want one now, now’s the time
Great video :)
Thank you!
I ordered mine last tuesday, it was shipped by wedneday and at my house by Friday. Absolutely insane. I saw the 1-2 week thing but it was at my house within 4 days
That’s fast
i did not knew that you can recalibrate a Battery nice one instant subbed
Some people, including myself had a battery that didnt properly report the health correctly. Thats why Calibrating the battery should resolve that.
@@Shahrukh_Ali Knowledge is Power thank you for sharing this
Thanks helpful 🙏
Great video, I'm expecting mine any day now! Could you make a video on how you got Jak and Daxter to play on your Deck? Those are some of my favorite games and I'd love to be able to have my own copy (I don't have a PlayStation). ☺️
Sick! There are plenty of guides out there on how to install the emulator, but I don’t plan on making one.
Thanks!
Very useful video.
Thanks!
Man reading reddit posts are insanely difficult for noob PCers. Super easy video that simplifies this shit and makes it easy to get into. Thank you!
You’re welcome! I want to do more teaching of PC components.
Great tips. Just bought a Steam Deck and those are very useful. I'm not happy with the battery formatting necessity though. I thought those3 times are long gone....
Some people including myself had an issue where the battery health was misreported. Doing what I explained as calibrating fixed that issue.
Great video! Anyone know what projector that is? And the clamp? I'm looking for a similar setup in my bedroom.
The projector is no longer made, the clamp is the ARKON heavy duty camera mount
Nice video, what projector is that you are using there, I love the size.
Its from a brand called Apeman but they stopped selling on Amazon 😭
Hi.
Great review / tips. I'm in the market for a steam but also a projector. Which projector were you using and do you like it?
Its one from a company called Apeman, unfortunately it is discontinued
Great video! Just wandering- would I be better off just getting the Steam Deck with 64GB storage and then just getting a large-storage Micro-SD card? Would it be right to say that it wouldn't be that much slower than having 512GB on-board storage but would be much cheaper?
You can totally do that and even upgrade the internal storage now that 1tb SSD’s are available readily for the steam deck from Sabrent.
Thanks brotha, going to do all of this. I snagged a perfect condition month old deck with an upgraded 1TB SSD for $35 more then retail. (64gb)
That’s a W right there! Enjoy it!
Love the vid. As for the Deck´s offical dock, running 2 displays at once through that apu, what does that actually look like, performance wise? Feels like a real stretch for the deck, or am I wrong? Hope to place an order for mine end of this month, so I'm currently soaking up all the info I can get. 🙂 SO from the Netherlands, I'll check out more of your stuff @Shahrukh
The APU can handle it. More of a work thing if you want to use your steam deck as your only “computer” then you totally can do so
@@Shahrukh_Ali Ah okay, that’s good info, thanks!
Steam deck is an amazing console. I love to play games while the TV is on in the background. I used to play the switch a ton but after I got the deck....I haven't played on my switch since. If you are on the edge and don't know if you should buy it.... Do it. You can play so many games. You won't regret it
I sold my switch cuz of my steam deck Lol
Thank you for the advice. Unlike many other channels you've kept it simple. Handy for a technophobe like me! Lol
I’m glad you found it simple!
Hello shakrukh Ali, which projector do you use for your steam deck? Which one do you recommend?
If I was to buy the 64gb model, could I install and run Read Dead 2 with the use of a large SD card? RDR2 is a huge 150GB... thanks!
Yea you could
Honestly didn’t know a few of the things you said and I have watched a lot of Steam Deck videos. Did he say there is a dock that can accommodate an SSD in it? I may need to get that for some of the bigger games that I would only want to play in docked mode. Also love the idea of using a projector with the dock, that hadn’t occurred to me but I want to try it!
Yes that dock is sick, plus steam deck on projector is great.
What projector did you have in this video? I'm very interested in that kind of setup in the bedroom lol
hey, great video what projector is that, love the way its conencted very sleek
Its a projector from Apeman which is unfortunately discontinued.
I don’t even have it yet but I’m hyped
Sharing this with my broski as he just got his a few days ago
Love that
just got x3 steamdecks xD
@@obidahasdia4095 why?
