I've never used a beauty blender... I'm 64 years young... Lol. I'm glad I was able to see your u-tube video. I'm going to purchase my first beauty blender sponge, and the cleaner too. Thank you!
No biggie I have had severe allergies with my facial skin..I even had to wear a mask outside at one point..also had to resort to painful shots for allergies so heck no that would kill my face lol
oh no I am much better now...but back in the day I used to ask for a shot and that sucker hurt lol. My doctors office would say, can you come to the office now? YEEESSS I can lol! But no doing much better now thank you hon.
Not going to lie - I bought my (fake/dupe) beauty blender from home bargains in England for like 2 pounds - it works and looks exactly the same and I'm so glad I didn't spend so much money on the real thing sure it would be nice but it still works wonderfully
+Harriet Sutton same here! a pink teardrop one right? mine was 99p in home bargains and works amazingly well. rinses really well with a gentle face wash!
safi456 I have a kabuki brush that does leave marks but I guess it's just bad quality, because I have no problems with my buffing brush, and prefer it over blending sponges, I just don't like the feeling of putting a wet sponge on my face xD
Good advise except one thing, hot or warm water set's stains in clothing and beauty blenders. Always use cold and it will come out spotless every time. I also use dawn antibacterial dishsoap to clean mine , works great and my beauty blender has lasted over a year and has barely any signs of wear.
Me neither. I have found a dupe for $2 in a Korean dollar store named Daiso. Let's check the label of the Beauty Blender. I'm pretty sure it was made here or in China or Japan anyway. I'm stocking up and sending it home!
I HATE when “beauty gurus” talk about only using a sponge because they hate streaks...then proceed to draaaaaaaag that sponge across their skin...THAT STILL LEAVES STREAKS.
You can get a beauty blender for .49 free shipping from the website aliexpress sure it takes a couple weeks to get you but you could also get packs of 5 at a time for 5 bucks and they work just as great as the 30$ ones!
Yay! thanks for the video ! I just purchased my beauty blender and was just about to look up a video on how to use the way it was intended to be used :D
True, but they recommend wetting it first to help keep the foundation from absorbing all the way into the sponge. That's the part most people don't know!
I love use the makeup sponge. I clean this but have nothing to hold it, still I have this tool-makeup sponge holder. And I never worry about my makeup sponge will growth of bacteria that cause my skin problem. I love this little thing. It is cute and functional. It also helps me keep things clean! You can search this “Sunmore Blender Drying Rack” and try this beauty holder.
I'm doing everything correctly, but even with a primer I still can't get that airbrushed finish. I've got big pores and even though I'm not using much foundation, it still always looks revolting and cakey.
Have you tried using pore fillers and silicone products? I had the same problem when I was about 17 years old. I started using Revlon Mositure Blur and now, maybelline age rewind eraser treatment. They actually fill your lines and pores. So when you start putting foundation on, you end up using less, thus no cake face. Hope this helped!
I thought that I was stupid when I saw all those videos saying that you have to use a damp beauty blender and I didn't know what they meant. Didn't think I'd find out what they meant and deffo didn't expect it to be such an easy "answer" haha. Thanks for breaking it down for stupid me! xD
Can u buy the blending cleanser thing from Cosmetics Plus? (I'm from Australia 😝) Oh and do u have to soak it etc every single time u use it or just once...?
Hi Emily, Soaking is depends on individual preference, but more than likely, most all users will soak it before each use, and clean it after each use. :-)
Hey ..mam ..how many times we can wash the blender? Only one blender we can use and wash until it becomes very patchy and useless? Plz tell me mam .I need ur answer
I tried this out today. and it looked kind of patchy where did I go wrong...I did everything you did. smh I'm going to stick to my regular routine I guess.
I recently bought a dupe (two actually) and it only costed $1.80. I thought it looked to good to be true and went I used it, it felt like a hard memory foam bed on my face. It didn't feel sponge like at all. Is it supposed to feel that way?
Shampoo would be even better! Don't forget that the sponge goes on your face so you want a gentle formula that can be found in a shampoo, basically. Don't use dish soap!! Jeez
I just got a new beauty blender, in the tan color, and when I "saturate" it in the water and then squeeze, the water in the cup and the run off water is greenish!! Is this a problem or is it just because of the dye or something?
Abby Miller no, you can use it to blend any cream product you use on your routine, primers, bb creams, cream blusb, cream highlight, cream contour, anything really
I love the beauty blender. I just got another one in my must have box, thx! Also, the cheaper sponges do NOT work as well as the beauty lender, actually the cheaper ones I got called Beaute Basics perfect blender SUCK. I got a 2 pack of them cheap and they do NOT work right. I LOVE the Beauty Blender though! Even beats out my Sigma F80 brush! I have dry skin and the Beauty Blender doesn't bring attention to the dry patches like the F80 although when my skin is not dry I love the F80
This was straightforward and to the point without a lot of obnoxious chatter. I really appreciated this video. Thanks!
I've never used a beauty blender... I'm 64 years young... Lol. I'm glad I was able to see your u-tube video. I'm going to purchase my first beauty blender sponge, and the cleaner too. Thank you!
I’ll be 63 soon and just bought a beauty blender. I had to search for a video to learn how to use it. 🤣
I like how when she demonstrates it she barely puts any on her face cos she already has a full face of makeup on lol
Your dp is awesome.. Love Jesus 😊
call the bullshit henny!
You actually like that?
Beautyblender is not the one product in this niche. Within 5 years many goods of similar quality appeared. Take at least Puffy Bunny blender.
If you don't have a beauty blender cleanser, use dish soap works amazing.
+Numbuh 5 For those of us with super sensitive skin, that won't work too well, however I did use face wash for sensitive skin and it did a great job.
Janelle X I thought dish soap was good for everyone, well my mistake.
No biggie I have had severe allergies with my facial skin..I even had to wear a mask outside at one point..also had to resort to painful shots for allergies so heck no that would kill my face lol
Janelle X I'm so sorry feel better!!
oh no I am much better now...but back in the day I used to ask for a shot and that sucker hurt lol. My doctors office would say, can you come to the office now? YEEESSS I can lol! But no doing much better now thank you hon.

You don't get any cleanser with it but have y'all heard of soap and water ( just rinse out the soap realllll well :p)
+Harriet Sutton same here! a pink teardrop one right? mine was 99p in home bargains and works amazingly well. rinses really well with a gentle face wash!
I found one on amazon at .99 cents and free shipping, I'll order it to see how it works
me too lol
+Jenny M it's the one I have in my hand right now lol it's a neat thing.
if you think a brush leaves streaks its coz you dont know how to use one. I have a dead cheap Kabuki dupe and it blends beautifully.
safi456 I have a kabuki brush that does leave marks but I guess it's just bad quality, because I have no problems with my buffing brush, and prefer it over blending sponges, I just don't like the feeling of putting a wet sponge on my face xD

Margaret Marie , Dawn is a staple in my bathroom.
I will never repurchase the original Beauty Blender again. Real Techniques sponge is a fraction of the price and in my opinion, better.
+11:11 I like that the Real Techniques sponge is flat on the bottom. I think it makes applying foundation much better.
Me neither. I have found a dupe for $2 in a Korean dollar store named Daiso. Let's check the label of the Beauty Blender. I'm pretty sure it was made here or in China or Japan anyway. I'm stocking up and sending it home!
Makeup with Kokerface erm btw, daiso originates from Japan :)
I HATE when “beauty gurus” talk about only using a sponge because they hate streaks...then proceed to draaaaaaaag that sponge across their skin...THAT STILL LEAVES STREAKS.
I don't get it because I've always used a brush and I have never had streaks. Maybe people aren't using the right brush??
@@SleepyT23 Totally! The right brush makes all the difference.
that feeling when you use a new beauty blender and you don’t want to stain it.
it looks natural because the sponge absorbs all the foundation and nothing comes to the face!
Pretty much all of the foundation gets on the face.
Oh hahahhahah
+Dips Gags i feel the same :D
It's totally untrue
Deepa George - lol stooopp
I'm so happy we got this and the cleanser in our popsugar must have may box. Love the beauty blender.
i usually just wash my blender with soap and water right before i use it. face hasnt broken out yet or anything :)
Juliet Ackles same
What soap do you use?
That is what I was thinking.
Me too sis !
You can get a beauty blender for .49 free shipping from the website aliexpress sure it takes a couple weeks to get you but you could also get packs of 5 at a time for 5 bucks and they work just as great as the 30$ ones!
Great video! Quick, yet informative! Thank you!
Well. I didn't know you had to put it in water. This is why it was so hard as well lol It was like a weapon on my face. Thank you. I'm new to make up.
excellent presentation and tutorial --just purchased one !!!!
Yay! thanks for the video ! I just purchased my beauty blender and was just about to look up a video on how to use the way it was intended to be used :D
Yep! Even Head & Shoulders shampoo worked for me when I was in a pinch.
Thanks for the great video. Great tips and advice. Short and sweet
the most useful video ever, simple and informational
True, but they recommend wetting it first to help keep the foundation from absorbing all the way into the sponge. That's the part most people don't know!
Thank you! I alternate between Benefit's They're Real, Guerlain's new curling mascara, and Voluminous by L'Oreal.
Lol you don't have to buy one of the expensive ones from Sephora or Mac I got mine from the drugstore it's the Quo brand and it works just as well
dollar tree
Thank you Kirby, your a real gem 💎.. what superb tips, for great results. ❤
Beautiful!!!!!!!!
To be honest I've heard great things about the Sonia Kashuk blender, it's blue... but I haven't tried it. You can get it at Target!
I love use the makeup sponge. I clean this but have nothing to hold it, still I have this tool-makeup sponge holder. Tysm cuty u introduce urself soo cutely btw tysm to make this video and clear my doubt 😘😘
Alex, thank you. That really made my day!

Rub ice cube all over your face before u start the process. Ice helps to close pores

I also noticed it helps my foundation look less cakey
wow...thnks i ws so cnfused alwys abt hw to use blender...thnks fr ths vdo..
I did pounce it boo! But I had to wipe some of the foundation under my eyes. :)
Thank you, this was very helpful❤️
THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!! I just got one and had no idea.
Thankyou SO much for this video it really helped me learn how to do this 😄
Why would you use the pointed end to put on foundation instead of the pouncing using the rounded end?
You look really pretty in white and with that hair love you Kerrbie
I brought this from the Superdrug store. The one which i had purchased was white after applying it on to my face i seen my face was white and pale.
Nice demo kirby!
your eyes are amazing kirbie!
Jus got this in my birchbox...had no idea how to use it...thanks. now have to get the blender cleaner...any other alternatives I can use instead...
I was all waiting for mine to expand and get fluffy lol my last one was used by my kids for painting and it grew double in size lol
The London Soho sponge, you can get it at Walmart or Walgreens. Only $4
Thank you so much this was really helpful🙌🏾
I was wondering if using Daiso Sponge detergent can give the same squeaky clean results to the Beauty Blender..?🤔
I just started to use a beauty blender/sponge again because whenever I used a foundation brush, my face looked really orange, streaky, and oily.
Curious, do ppl actually wash their beauty blender after each use? And if you don’t, wouldn’t it get gross wetting it with old makeup on it??
Can u buy the blending cleanser thing from Cosmetics Plus? (I'm from Australia 😝) Oh and do u have to soak it etc every single time u use it or just once...?
Hi Emily, Soaking is depends on individual preference, but more than likely, most all users will soak it before each use, and clean it after each use. :-)
Thanks Shirley!! This helped heaps coz today was the first time I used my beauty blender!!
your eyelashes look amazing!
thank you for that. were do you get the beaty blender wash?
Hey ..mam ..how many times we can wash the blender? Only one blender we can use and wash until it becomes very patchy and useless? Plz tell me mam .I need ur answer
I tried this out today. and it looked kind of patchy where did I go wrong...I did everything you did. smh I'm going to stick to my regular routine I guess.
you may need to blend it in a bit more but keep practising and you will definitely find some tricks!
Watch Wayne Goss videos on how to use it.
I recently bought a dupe (two actually) and it only costed $1.80. I thought it looked to good to be true and went I used it, it felt like a hard memory foam bed on my face. It didn't feel sponge like at all. Is it supposed to feel that way?
Great video
What happens if you bought a cheaper version but it didn't come with cleaner
Monique L you can use a bar of soap or dish soap.
Shampoo would be even better! Don't forget that the sponge goes on your face so you want a gentle formula that can be found in a shampoo, basically. Don't use dish soap!! Jeez
Dawn dish soap is v gentle and works great
Do you have to do these steps after each use?
The quality difference in incredible
""clean every it day"" um what abt once a few wks oops
No clean it every time you use it
gladys Zimmerman yeah they know....

Cool! Just purchased mine today!
Thank u so much for this useful video
She is applying the makeup wrong and putting foundation on a already makeup applied face
What can you use if you don't have a blender cleanser to clean your blender sponge?
So every time you going to use Your beauty blender you have to soak it with water?
Thank you for uploading thissssssss
I use mine on the other side is that still okay? I seen she used the end of the sponge to apply
LOVE ittttttttt
lol i didn't know you had to wet it first all my foundation was being absorbed :d
I just got one and I’m gonna use it for school tomorrow now I’m glad I know this lol
aka: Hollywood Fabulous, thanks this was very helpful cause I brought one today and now I know how to use it. Thanks once again #B1
Now I know how to prep my beauty blender. Thank you.
Soaking your beauty blender in hot/warm water will cause the dye of the blender to wear off.
Really useful vedio
Thank you
The foundation u use was oriflame smoothie foundation yes or no
Someone help! My beauty blender has expanded, how do i get it back?
Any other stuffs to clean it without the cleanser please or baby shampoo? can i use any normal soap?
Yes but a mild one
Get bar soap and Rub your beauty blender onto the bar to clean it
Thankyou so much!
Do we have to apply foundation to use a beauty blender? (i'm a makeup noob lol)
Abby Miller no, you can use it to blend any cream product you use on your routine, primers, bb creams, cream blusb, cream highlight, cream contour, anything really
I went to TJ Max and got a dupe for $3 and it's EXACTLY the same as the beauty blender 👌🏾
They sell them in dollar tree also.
+Diamond Butler exactly! No need to spend $20 😂😂
+Addy24 right! lol
+Diamond Butler dollar tree ones suck tho
+Mila jae oh really. I seen them in dollar tree but I bought mine from CVS so I had no idea. Thanks though.
Can you use soap to clean it? And does that cleaner come with the beauty blender?
You can use DAWN dish soap, or baby shampoo :)
Don't use dish soap. Use baby soap or face wash.
You can't use soap to clean IT!Don't do this mistake.I did IT!
I hear you. You might love the beautyblender as much as I love zumba! ha!
Thanks
I love the beauty blender. I just got another one in my must have box, thx! it's very nice l love it
Is this the first ever beauty blender tutorial? Anyone?
Never had w wet out sponges ... these new shapes do
Thank you! :)
very well use
I have one from Quo that I really like!!!
if ur baking do you still use it damp?
Pls suggest a replacement to blender cleanser
But the sponge eats all the foundation?
Worth it
When I clean my beautyblender(with water) IT become very very big! Why?
+Ioana Postelnicu its just because its absorbing the water because its a sponge. Just ring it out when you've cleaned it and let it air dry :)
Because it's a sponge
It could be the type of sponge it's made out of and sponges expand.
It's meant to
thanks this was helpful(:
what can you use instead of blender cleaner?
any soap or shampoo that is silicone free. the cleansers are really gimmicky
+Bianca Briteside I use j&j's top to toe baby shampoo.
Bar soap
can u clean it with anti bacterial soap?
