One of the weapon that is an "Acquired taste". You either love it, or you hate it. I myself have been enjoying it.
My build currently is all pure heat, altho after watching the video i may have to tinker abit for raw damage approach. It feels weird having to rely on heat proc dealing damage and it especially falls off with enemies that has status resistance.
Overall a solid weapon. My only gripe would be that the effects in incarnon form obscures the crosshair, and i had to deliberately make an energy color dark for better visibility.
This gun's incarnon is literally just the WUERGER laser shotgun from Armored Core 6, with a bonus flamethrower. The main gun has pretty nutty stats for a slugthrower too. Fire rate aside, this thing is a beautiful little railcannon.

I'm actually curious and will probably try elemental excess and a cucumber since the forma requirements will be lower before I try any other build but really glad about the info given in the video.

@@FelisImpurrator Secondary Encumber arcane, it's a common joke in the community to call it cucumber.

@@FelisImpurrator normally yes. secondary encumber cannot take into account multishot on beam weapons to give higher odds of proccing a random status since multishot on beams doesn't produce another instance of damage, just more bonus damage per tick.
With the headshot interactions, the regular mode is a beast on harrow
perfect weapon for gauss.... extra reload speed, tons of fire rate. can mod for more damage instead of fire rate. so much fun running on gauss

even without all the math but just testing in Simulacrum, my Onos build is fairly similar
I hope more people pick this weapon up and enjoy it, even if it isn't "super OP meta", because it is really fun to use
It benefits tremendously from grouping and armor strip, same as every other meta weapon but better imo

This is the video and I've been waiting for and its quirky enough to be strong and fun. Fire Rate and reload speed needed? Glad my Gauss Prime is looking for a good weapon to use.
I use it on Vaub. Headshot charge on bastille, then when it collapses into big succ then you use the incarnon mode while they are all clumped together. Big easy!
Would Cascadia Overcharge be worth it on a setup that lets my Dante maintain permanent overshields using Triumph and Augur mods, specifically for a hybrid build with both modes? And would that mean not using PPG at all? Or should I just use Flare/Merciless/Deadhead anyway?

I feel like there is a really cool weapon in here, but the normal mode is missing something, and the Incarnon form just takes so long to do its thing that it's unusable around other Tenno.
I wish the beam was like a succ or something to justify the time it takes to fire the blast.
I do like the weapon overall, despite this.

@@TheFlyingslug ok but like why? Theres no in game benefit to playing with a squad and for most builds, with exceptions like equinox who benefits from others kills etc, its actually a nerf since youre fighting for kills, stacks etc..
@@bigf0ot25 because sometimes you might want to play with other people? you don't need a good reason, you might just want to do it even if it's not necessarily optimal
Weapon is fun to use, I’m max mr so I’ve had my fun running around nuking the map. I just leave it to my team and pick up what kills are left over

I managed to get a riven for this thing but I personally don't care for the weapon. I'll just hold the riven and sell it once the gun gets buffed to a good spot.
I recommend selling the riven ASAP because the price will only decrease and decrease with time.
These incarnons are in the market. While not impossible they probably wont get buffed enough.

I got this thing and it's alright, but I don't really want to charge up my gun, to charge it up a second time, to finally shoot a big cool shot at the end when the trash mobs will be dead from the weird energy jellyfish that you threw in their face.

Was waiting for this vid. It thank you for the video. I was interested in the Onos, but quite disappointed from what I saw. I still have built it and it performs ok, but it's no latum. I do believe weapons like the latum and incarnon torid have butchered the scaling in this game. Regardless, I was excited to have a pistol that's usable. Since latum is basically a secondary assault rifle. Thank you for the video. ❤
P.S. the incarnon evolutions are pretty disappointing too for the Onos.

Gas build with ivara is insane. Primary and incarnon form. Honesty the primary fire with gas is comparable to the spirex. I would personally say better bc the build up isnt as atrocious

Thoughts on Dante nerf?
The base light verse nerf sounds ridiculous, but triumph needed that nerf stick... He desperately needs cast speed though, to be able to make do with two stacks of speed instead of three.

before galvanized mods existed there was only Condition overload (the melee mod that increases damage based on the amount of status' applied) hence gun co or rather gundition overload.

While the incarnon having to be charged and then having so little charge before reverting is annoying, I just see no reason not to use it. The normal mode is just a single target puncture only gun. Even if it deals monstrous damage it's only on a super thin line and more importantly it's just plain boring.

Lmao so what was with all the whining on release day that the Onos was mid? It shreds SP endurance with an Encumber setup. Was it just people who don't know how attenuation works complaining that they couldn't one-shot mechs or archons?
It was because those people that complained about the weapon also complained about dante nerfs. They cant function without omega overpowered gear
This weapon was good before the so called fix.. Shame DE hate us having fun.

Onos is terrrible
No you all do not know how to build it let's just be honest. Hours in the sim using this weapon and many others has taught me this.
This weapon is garbage. Trying to make it work (for no reason since we got a ton of much much much better options out there) is a waste of time and resources. No one should ever use it until DE buffs or reworks it.

too much work / investment for onos to be good, so its not good at all, its the mods that are good, im gonnna just shelve it and let it there to rot
