eurovision 2021 was a technical masterpiece. i often tend to say 2016 was the best produced Eurovision Song Contest of all time, but 2021 really changed my mind
I’m so happy everyone is so positive about Eurovision 2021 - that took place in my home country, everyone there on, behind and around the stage did so well there! Proud of everyone who made Eurovision 2021 possible! Also, did someone see how satisfying the cables outside are 😂
Us Eurovision fans constantly talk about the amazing songs, the shows etc. Instead, let's show more gratitude for all the hard work that so many people do for almost a month to build a spectacular venue and make everything we know possible. Kudos to the channel for uploading this. Oh, and thank you for the techgasms...
Like me 😂😂 fucking me. Damn it. Eurovision is life for me :))) Esc is everything... 💫❤️ We are a so big family 😍😍 love from iran / asia to the world and absolutely lovely Europe 🙌🏻🌼❤️💟💮
I really hope that Rai (Italian Broadcaster) asks The Netherlands for help. Eurovision 2021 in Rotterdam was absolute WORLDCLASS. So proud to be Dutch🇳🇱
Hello, unfortunately, Italian TV did not even ask the Italian government for help or funding, we know that for the Tel Aviv edition it was the prime minister who signed a large check for the esc, and perhaps it was the same in the other editions.
@@bibiana761 You are wrong. Italian State contributed for 1,5Mln Euros. City of Turin and Piedmont Region contributed for 6 to 10Mln Euros. The rest is split between EBU, RAI and sponsors. I believe the total package should be around 25Mln Euros.
Yeah about that.... • Broken kinetic sun • Sub-par lighting (2021 used 'Claypaky' lighting which was much better than the 'Ledco' lighting this year) • (IMO) a meh stage, barely anyone used the B stage as much as a lot of acts used the B stage in 2021, the waterfall was cool but I thought the LED wall was a bit small • Overall to me it seemed a bit rushed in my opinion, the lack of consideration about the kinetic sun (which did work, but slowly in the interest of health and safety which is understandable and was why none of the countries used it), some people not happy about how they recycled the water on stage from 2014 and also especially the postcards. Like, a drone that looks like it was designed by a nursery school child projecting 720p high school videos of the contestants onto historical Italian architecture. A bit underwhelming and I didn't feel the personal connection as I did in the postcards in 2021 with the personalised houses that contained clothing/items/pictures of moments or momentos personal to the contestants. All we got this year was a virtual drone flying around putting massive pictures of people on 16th century castles.
@@theRAV4000 well it's actually 3 days because those are the ones being broadcast to Europe and beyond, worse, most people just watch the final and don't even watch the semi finals let alone all the other content.
It always makes me a bit sad that all the effort put into creating amazing stage designs and turning them to life for a magnificent annual event, goes away in most cases as the stage is deconstructed again after the grand final is over, as the venue will go back to serve its original purpose. All this effort really deserves to be rewarded, and to think that, whilst last year during the Covid-19 heavy months, this exact place, was a hospital!
WOW! Reading all your comments makes me even more proud than I allready was. Born and raised in Rotterdam, having ESC2021 in my backyard, could it be more surreal? YES ....even beyond! For 2,5 weeks I was host in the Delegation Bubble, an once in a lifetime experience. I feel so blessed that I was a part of this Mega Event and this will be forever in my heart and my memory.
Thank you so much to all the people: volunteers, and professionals, that worked so hard for months to provide us - the Eurovision fans, and 200 million viewers, three nights of unity and positivity through music and culture in the midst of the most challenging period globally in recent years. The ESC's spirit reminds us how incredible humanity can be when people work together to spread positivity around.
Wow that's amazing! The people behind the scenes really took it there. They should be rewarded for the hard work they put it into this. I hope you guys the best in life!! And I hope there will be more videos like this. As an Eurovision fan this is so fascinating! 😍
It just had the LEDs spaced out more on the screen so there was empty space between them, so if you went close enough to it you would see the individual LEDs. 2007, 2008, 2017 and many other years used a screen like that for the main background screen so they could place lights behind it.
It was semi transparant. If you are sitting behind the screen you won't see any effects on it, just the artist in front of it which is good cuz it doesn't block your view
@@shroomyesc Good explanation! To add to this, because of the distance of the public (and camera's) from the LED screen the images still look good, even though you'd think it would lead to lower image quality if there are less LEDs. Like how a billboard would look terrible from 1 metre distance, but good from far away.
Incredibly impressive, to see this miracle being built up 🤯 just wow. I'm so happy, i've been on such stage once in my life. Terribly wanna be back again. Maybe one day... 🤞
That was literally the most satisfying time lapse I've ever seen

i still think 2016 had better production than any year by far but 2021 impressed me soo much
For me 2021 was the best of all, it was perfect, thanks also to the longer time available for the making. Bravo to the Dutches. 🙂

Honestly aside from Australia and Iceland's performances I felt the live shows happened under scenario A
Edit: Yes Duncan's absence was a dent
True !!! It feels like a normal Eurovision 😍.
Don't forget Duncan's physical absence from the final

Eurovision who came to comfort the world in a time of terrible pandemic, thank you so much for cheering us on for another year!
It's crazy to see how people create a stage with enormous effort just to use it for 3 days.
