They abandoned the run first and play action pass and kept putting Purdy in shotgun position with no RB next to him. This instantly lets the Chiefs know that we're passing the ball and I dont think Purdy is ready for that yet against Super Bowl teams. Plus Greenlaw got hurt and all Ray Ray McCloud had to do was jump on the ball on the muffed punt. Chiefs scored on the first play after Ray Ray tried to pick it up instead of falling on the ball
He's ranked #1 in deep passes and people say he can't throw the ball deep 😂
This video left out his best deep pass so far. He threw approximately 50 air yards in a deep shot to Aiyuk against Arizona in Week 4.

There's no way a person could come away from that saying he's a system QB
when your record last season (including the playoffs) is 10 & 1 when attempting LESS THAN 30 passes and an ugly 4 & 4 when attempting 30 OR MORE PASSES per game...then that confirms you're a 'system' QB that relies on your offense being able to RUN THE BALL consistently and for big yards and thus, not needing the QB to do much except make a few throws!
You can go back and look at the season under JimmyG when we made it to the SB and guess what?
He too was also 10 & 1 when attempting fewer than 30 passes per game, but a slightly better 5 & 3 when making 30 or more passes per game! Does that make JimmyG as good as Purdy then?
@@itzanopinion did you watch the video? Please find highlights of Jimmy G making those types of plays. Everything Jimmy G did was on schedule. Purdy has better pocket awareness, better mobility, better accuracy, throws a better deep ball, and and actually knows how to step up in the pocket. Purdy is leaps and bounds better than Jimmy G. Not even close.
@itzanopinion they threw more passed than run this year, especially in the playoffs, where Brock shouldered his offense and orchestrated 2 of the biggest playoff comebacks in nfl history and left the field with the lead 3 times to close the superbowl. You tried junior, now go put some energy into something positive you little troll.

What an absolute fucking stud. If you don’t think Brock Purdy is on his way to being a top QB in the National Football League, you don’t know ball. Brock is set to play a very long NFL career, and he WILL win a lot of games at this level.
as long as he keeps his pass attempts to under 30 a game, the team should do exceptionally well...(in those situations last season, the team went 10 & 1)...but if he has to make 30 or more pass attempts, hold your breath! Last season, in games where he had 30 or more pass attempts, the team was just 4 & 4, including the SB Loss to KC!

I recall that the defender got a slight touch to it, just enough to put BA off.

This kid was 3rd in total yards with half the attempts that the 1st of 2nd in yards had to achieve their yards!!! In other words, he accomplished everything he did on a run first offense that rated 28th in pass protection!!! He also led the league in passes over 10 yards and then completed a much higher percentage of those passes than any other QB in the league!!! If anyone still thinks he's a system QB, it's because they are jealous, like lovely Cam has been Newton!!!

I was at the bar for the miami vs sf game. Lol i ordered 2 shots of jack after Jimmy went down, immediately i thought well there goes another season again. Then Brock went out there, and i didn’t know what to think. i saw him rip a pass down field to Kittle while he was pressured and got blasted by a DT. He made the pass and that was all i needed to see, after that I was sold on Brock. They may have lost the SB last season, but man I haven’t had that much fun watching pro football in a very longtime. Cant wait to watch #13 play this season🔥🔥🔥

IF Purdy was a 1st round draft pick, the haters would be talking how great he is. They dont remember that Brady was a 6th round pick or any of the others that did the same. They cant think for themselves.
Life would be so much simpler if these clowns accepted that Purdy was horrifically under-evaluated in the draft. Once you accept that, everything he does make a lot more sense.
Instead, they cling to 'he was last pick for a reason', which is obviously a moronic take at this point.

he was last year. Its not hyperbolic. Mahomes is is the best qb in football but Purdy broke a few of his records last year and has had a better 2 years than mahomes first in many stats behind a way worse o line.
@@terrythegnome2408being objective here Patrick’s first two years was a 50 TD season MVP and a Super Bowl champion. Brock has been spectacular but not what Patrick did right out the gate
not tds but qbr and passer rating are better. His efficiency is through the roof and he has a far worse o line. If he had a top ten pass protection unit he could easily put up numbers like that. The niners don't focus on O line quality other than left tackle. Also If the ravens game had been in September, Purdy would have been the MVP last year. Lamar had the worst MVP stats in over ten years.@@cprimetime9888

People can’t bear to admit that a guy selected last overall, has zero aura and a pretty boring personality, can be one of the niners greatest franchise QB’s.

The play at 4:05 is why the play at 2:08 is better. Brock tried to "fake" the defense by pointing to the right when he wanted his guy to go left [like a no look pass], but his teammates didn't know that and trusted where he pointed. So, when the play at 2:08 comes up, Brock learned his lesson, kept it simple, and truly pointed where he wanted Aiyuk to go.
That second to the last play. The jennings one handed catch they ahowed the DC and he was mad and confused

As a niner fan I would say Brock purdy has potential and he’s one of the most underrated qbs of all time

I'm not going to get tangled in a GOAT argument about Mahomes but Kansas City deserved to win the last Super Bowl.... Not just because of Patrick Mahomes but Andy Reid and Steve Spagnuolo took advantage of what San Fran gave them and made the right calls at the right times, both offensively and defensively. Brock Purdy definitely played more than good enough to win, Kansas City had good luck on a punt touching a San Francisco player's foot that was an important turnover and an extra point was blocked allowing a field goal by KC to tie the game to send it to overtime. Neither of those things were Brock's fault. And as Mahomes has shown in 2 Superbowls you don't allow Mahomes to run, completely untouched to get a first down on a 4th down in the KC end of the field and later a first down inside the SF 20 yard line in OT, by not having someone spy on him to stop him.
Love watching Brock, 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻. He’s definitely a top 5-6 QB!!! These high lights prove it! Dude has less than 3 years in, had surgery and still took the 9ers to the superbowl!!! Can’t wait for the season to start!
This compilation is all needs to be shown to any person to convince them Purdy is special. Anyone who things he's meh, hasn't watched this. Dude is as legit a highlight machine as any player in football. Now imagine you improved his pass protection.
Let’s be honest, he gets hated on so much because of the immediate success he’s had only 7 rookie qbs have ever made a conference championship and only 7 qbs have gone to the Super Bowl in there second year. And the fact that his draft selection is unfathomable to analysts and football fans that he doesn’t fit the mold of what a qb should look like.

This level of composure under pressure and ability to make plays is something special about Purdy.
The Niners have some of the worst oline in terms of pass protection (even with Trent Williams, but remember he’s 1/5 linemen, and this is why Kittle had to block so much in the playoffs), but he still had a lower sack % than CJ Stroud, Jalen Hurts, and Lamar Jackson. He’s not Patrick Mahomes or Josh Allen level, but stats have shown that he can make plays both ahead and behind of the opponent

Nm found it. It was against the Seahawks. Purdy was getting sacked and right as he was about to hit the ground he shovelled it to Kittle. That has to be super annoying for the defender, he thought it was a sack.

The Niners need to put everything they can into their offensive line. He’s constantly running for his life… I been saying this since 2022. Watch Mahomes and Brady career highlights. They have way more time to safely make plays or make good scrambles because the defensive lines are occupied.
Everyone hates on this qb what about Jalen Hurts? I mean he also has a elite supporting cast and I don't see anyone calling him a system qb. Aj Brown, Smith, Dallas Goedert. And a really good oline. It really makes no sense to me.

Same with him rolling left. He got away with doing it clumsily a few times, got punished for doing it so poorly a few times, then learned how to do it efficiently and effectively and ROASTED teams because he got so much better. Which you can only truly appreciate and understand in order.
