- It's one thing to have abs that look good but another to be able to take body shots well.
Today we are working on both but the emphasis is on the ability to absorb body blows.
For this follow along workout make sure you tighten your stomach 100% but still breath like normal.
And the harder you can hit yourself the better 😈
Get tougher guys 💪 and if you appreciate the video please give it a like, share and/or subscribe 🙏

the fact that you can talk through all that is amazing.
😉 Who knocked the wind out of themselves???
🙏Please start slow and work up in power. I want everyone to get tougher but still stay safe.
My abs are screaming...
Thanks!
Be careful champ, you haven't taken a full-on body shot from the fiercest training a partner in the game, Rachel Varga 😊 we saw the fear in your eyes Gabe when she was gloved up. You can't hide fear like that. 😁 she'll kick ass and then fix em up, so they look good afterwards.
I find running from my opponent easier than actually training 😂 and I can do it all day 🏃 😁
Is it a bad sign when you knock the wind out of yourself ? I'm asking for a friend 😁
Man down, man down 😂 no really i need a 🚑
I rather have them bodyshots than those lowkicks.
Notification squad
Hey you were making vedios in fighting using your physical attributes ... please complete that series...
oh he will. he puts out a video just about every day and has a few different types of videos and a couple different series going. I trust he'll keep doing the series but that particular series will probably only be one video per week or maybe even every other week
I used to have my buddy hit me in the abs all the time to increase how much I can withstand. No gloves, no Hand-Wraps, and no shirt.
However, it was only in one specific area for the most part. This video showed me to punch all areas of my stomach and abs. I'll start off with shots that aren't as hard though, just like you had mentioned. Great Stuff!!
looks like an enjoyable past time
😂😂
You're the man Gabriel! Thank you so much for taking your personal time & experience to instruct us.
I agree with you Lucius were super lucky
Based on his previous videos I had no idea this dude was a sadist
I think this video would make him more of a masochist to be honest 😅
@@ahmedhany8339 I'm not up on my terminology but I'm sure you're right 😂
Thank u once again Gabriel, I needed this 👌🏼
Another gem! Thank you so much for this enormous burn! xD
I got kicked right in the tail bone during taekwondo 😅 I'll definitely work on abs in place of my normal routine while my tailbone bruise recovers, but I may have to modify the workout away from the L sit 😅😅
Oh god, yeah they don't tell you about tailbone injuries when you first start combat sports lol. When I was 15 I was doing randori (judo sparring) with a dude who was like twice my age, a foot taller than me, and nearly twice my weight, and he fell on top of me knee first right on my tailbone and fractured it
Love this video. Done it a few times and it pushes me to the max. Please do more follow along vids. Love your work Gabriel. Thankyou very much 🙏
Ican't wait to see you in the range again ❤❤
These are great!
You are a warrior Champ. 😊👊
Thank you for the video master
Coolest intro ever!!
Wish i could like more than once so im just gonna leave a comment each time i do this workout again. Thanks Gabriel.
I'll add this as my finisher
I just hit hard on my solar plexus, now I suffer lol
Lmao
how about a drop bar? skiing athletes train their leg pressure to the skiing slope by having a weight dropped for a minute range of motion against their feet in a push press position. by doing this blindfolded, they train their muscle for autonomous/somatic and ultrafast twitch-on-impact reaction. because they can't see it coming, so their skins nerves start sending the majority of the signal to the muscle instead of interfacing with the brain. i could imagine this to work for stomach training too by letting a weight drop for about 1-2 centimeters and touching your stomach just slightly at the end range with your goal to expand against it on impact as fast as you can. what is a conscoius effort in the beginning later on becomes an automatic reaction
@@aris.a2912 you re welcome, i saw this in a documentary or interview with the trainers of former austrian Skiing Legend Hermann Maier
Amazing video. Thanks a lot!!!
You are welcome!
Gabriel Varga remember when i said that i will learn sanda, muay thai, savate, dutch kickboxing, american kickboxing the best kickboxing styles of all time used and practiced more in ufc/mma along with combat sambo, bjj, boxing i might other kickboxing styles like japanese, korean, filipino kickboxing and others styles but the ones that use protection gloves and are used and practiced more in ufc/mma
Make sure you breathe out...and breathe out...and breathe out...andbre....lol j/k Awesome video. Thanks for the tips!

Hi Gabriel will these exercises cause any damage in the long run? Thanks!
I had two round of body sparring with an agonist and I suffered it, he was punching hard, I learnt a lot but i Need to condition myself to endure better
Hey Gabriel quick question. Whats the best fight you've ever seen. Mine definitely has to be Zambidis vs Chihad
Day1
That's what I'm talkin bout
What idiot watching this video hit the dislike button ? This is one of the best channels on RUclips. Gabriel is always positive and always trying to help the people that follow him. It's too bad that RUclips is turning into the Cesspool that Twitter is
It's 1 of 276 likes. Not a biggy, especially in terms of percentages, especially for gabe
@@jamesfaul348 I think they were accidents.
@@sulaiman4111 i think the dislike was an accident
Would you recommend this if the gyms are open and you could be sparring or is this just temporary when you're training on your own?
I was kicked in the stomach once, I fell back, but, for some reason, I didn't feel a thing. Maybe because I was expecting an attack (it were a bunch of pollish angry at me) and had instinctively tightened my muscles?
How often do you do this?
Where to aim high kicks, how to set up high kicks?
aim at the head duh
Did this sometime last week and I guess I had to heal from it haha. Prolly hit a little too hard as my solar plexus was bruised. Are there any other solo workouts that improve getting hit by body shots? Last time I sparred I was hit a few good times to the solar plexus and had to stop because i gagged🤷♂️
I'm new to your channel so idk if you made any videos about this but do you have any exercises or stretches for beginners trying to get into kickboxing?
Welcome.
I definitely have some great videos for someone starting. I'll link them below:

@@GabrielVargaOfficial awesome thanks!
Do these not cause internal injuries that might not be felt but over several months or years, they will abruptly show with serious symptoms?
I ask with humility and 100% respect to you Mr. GV.
I know your'e not asking me but all internals aren't taking any of the impact when your'e ready for the blow. The abs take everything, think of them like a shield thats protecting you, unless its a rather serious strike hitting you nothing will get through your shield to cause damage and long term damage doesn't really occur to the body like it does the brain.
@@biglenny2165 Thank you for replying with details, brother. You have put my mind at ease. :)
Lol. I just turn on the notf.
How often should I do stomach conditioning per week?
Every other day or so. Make sure to have a day rest so then your muscles have time to heal, so 3, maybe 4 is a good amount each week if you're doing every other day
I think I farted 15 times while doing this lol
Last week while sparring, I got hit on body and it's still paining, I'm in search of exactly this kind of video.
Is this method can be use for ribs also?
Erm in a roundabout way, yes?
If you get kicked in the ribs, a few ouch things can happen: they break or are bruised, or you get hit in the right side, which makes contact with your liver. From experience, if you feel it after a week, that’s a fractured/bruised rib, buddy. Otherwise, a more serious possibility - bruised liver, but that should either go away in 48hrs or you have some internal bleeding which slows up healing 🥲
This exercise, or any ab/core exercise for that matter, increases the barrier between the environment and your internal organs, makes it all sturdy and well connected. By doing the above routine you also condition yourself to brace for impact, which is a neat little bonus for fight sports.
So, yes, this is for your ribs, and your core(and protecting your liver lol).
Ultimately, if you’re not a heavyweight with a big belly, you’ll always feel a good, powerful, nicely placed shot on the ribs, and it may end fights. Even the best, elite, most conditioned athletes get their ribs damaged.
@@harrypoderskis nicely explained
@@harrypoderskis even if you are a heavyweight. DC got finished by bodyshots against Miocic
@@harrypoderskis thanks 🙏🏽🙏🏽
@@flavioaraujo2142 Yeah, just less chance, less volume in kicks for heavyweights. And then if it's not a sanctioned bout, a heavyweight vs a smaller buddy would further minimise the chances for n effective liver blow.
Hey man I really need your, and everyone's help and ideas. I trained Taekwondo for 2 years and now I am in a town that has noone to teach martial arts, and I can't afford buying a sandbag, I was thinking about shadow boxing but I don't think that's enough, I really don't know what to do, please let me know your ideas.
Note: This thing can be your next video content just saying.
check out fighttips to do the basic training, if u got gloves punch on the wall, do roadwork, muscular endurance, power, speed every thing is free
How do you condition quads and shins, like in this video?
I'll have to put together something for you guys on the subject.
@@GabrielVargaOfficial I would appreciate that a lot!
I hit my belly in my routine for half a year. My wife watch me like I'm nut 🤣
I will make this with my GF.
Me: Come darling, help me with my training:
GF: We are doing another Gabriel thin again?
ME: Yeah but this time you get to hit me as hard as you can!ñ.
GF: Nice! I'm totally in!
