Such a well detailed video. I just bought the NOCO GB50 today and thought I'd watch a video for visual instructions. Brilliant mate, and Thank you so much for sharing this, including all the important tips. Cheers!!
Excellent review. Thank you. I was on the fence with this but its now in my amazon cart. Living in Florida we can be without power up to a week if a hurricane rolls through. Having this double as a battery bank to charge cell phones or tablets is what ultimately sold me. Not to mention the heat and humidity here drain car batteries quickly.
The best tutorial video for this unit I've seen. A GB40 would be fine for my Tacoma and Rav 4, but the GB50 increase in supply power is what I'm interested in for household and auto.
Thank you so much for your noco presentation,, it was really great, I bought one for my son so he's not late for work,,, yes mate thanks again Andrew Warrrington ❤
NOCO GB50 absolutely brilliant , just bought one, started my 2ltr diesel first try.Did download the manual, as one supplied, print is so small it's hard to read.
I found this video helpful but VERY difficult to watch. Lighting is important when filming. Speaking volume is important when filming. If there was any noise in the room I was in while watching I had to rewind this video. He speaks at an almost whisper level of speaking. He's good at reviewing, but needs to show the product in proper light and he NEEDS TO SPEAK UP!!!!!
Great video, good job. I bought mine a few months ago and it works great. I’m trying to get the shop to buy a few for the salesman. The salesman always connect the leads wrong and end up frying the PCM or ECU. The safety feature would help a lot.
I just purchased this after destroying my old (cheap brand) one trying to jump my father's car. lol Thank you for the tutorial. I learned a lot. :) Rochester, NY USA
I have a 2008 150 E van I've got 27 starts out of a gb40 with a 5.2 L engine twice the pack overheated but wasn't recovered I got more starts to a total of 27 starts without a battery hooked up just the gb40
@@venturingfour I just got a newly acquired gb10 which appears to be brand newest cast in black plastic showing the same amps as a GB 20 400 apps use it on the same 2008 150 E Ford van with a 5.2 L I got 15 starts at overheat the battery pack didn't try any more yet 15 starts till it got hot
I have the GBX45 1250A and lemme tell you I have started every l thing lol 6.0 powerstroke 2018 Cummins dump trucks things awesome just the bigger the engine the faster the pack dies these are awesome to have
Maybe try charging again and giving it another go before giving up. I’d also check connections. There’s definitely no reason why it shouldn’t have more go.
Not recommended I have a 3 litre diesel with flat battery, I bought one of these and fully charged it and it wouldn't start my car, after 3 attempts of cranking over slow the Noco was flat had to use jump leads with another vehicle and started straighaway, dissapointed and a waste of money.
I would stay away from GB50, the common point of failure is the power button. I used it about 4-5 time and then the power button fails to turn on. the light and USB turns on fine. Never again will I get a NOCO.
Thanks for the informative video! I have a question for you: is there a way to lock the LED light so it's not accidently turned on while the battery is in storage? Thanks in advance!
Hey Philip, it’s the red button highlighted with an exclamation ❗️It’s right next to the light switch. Google it and you’ll find plenty of videos. Good luck 👍
Hello there, I tried to charge my Windows Surface 10 tablet, and it won’t work. Am I missing something? Do I need a special cable to make this work? My phone charged just fine, the tablet just won’t do it. Thank you 🙏🏻
@@venturingfour Thank you so much for responding. I tried 3 different cables. We tried USB A Male to USB C Male, and then, since the tablet doesn't have a USB-C port but does have a USB-A port, I used a converter USB-C Female to USB-A Male. I tried multiple cables, nothing worked. Cables are new and worked in other applications. We also tried three different cables USB-A connected to the jumper using a Microsoft surface charger connected to the Surface magnetic input. No luck with anything. We're desperate for a resolution or other ideas. Thank you so much.
Sorry to hear this guys. Maybe best to contact customer support. Just google it and it’ll bring up their details. Best of luck and really hope you manage to sort it out. 👍
I hate to be critical but dude you went through the whole promo on the charger and did not attempt to start your vehicle...This has to rank as one of the worse demo videos I have ever seen!
I got all the information I needed from this video without him trying to start a dead battery that he doesn't even have. Now I know how to use mine without reading the instructions. well done and a thumbs up. thank you
So you can only charge it up 6 times ?? That's not going to last long if you have constant flat battery if you live in colder climate like I do in the UK so it doesn't sound much of a bargain now when you could just buy a 12vlt lead acid battery for a quarter of the price and do the same job lol fair enough its smaller but only 6 times to recharge it then its dead wow I was nearly going to buy 1 but glad I saw your video first now you just saved me £140 thanks :)
TheJason13666 I think you’ve missed heard what I’ve said. I mention that it can be used as a battery bank to charge many smart devices and then say that it would charge a Smart Phone ‘6 TIMES’ before needing to be recharged. NOCO claim that this will start your flat battery on your vehicle up to ‘30 TIMES’. So in my opinion it’s still worth buying and if you look at all the other comments it seems as though you can buy a GB40. I hope that made sense. 👍
Can you run the car on NOCO GB50 lithium ion jump starter without a battery, and what is the longest time you could do it with the NOCO GB50 lithium ion jump starter (if the alternator is not working, so you could drive the car to the shop if it is close), if it work I will buy it. ruclips.net/video/PjXOpr9wFsg/видео.html Drive with ONLY a Jump Pack? great review. Thanks, I am ordering one now through Amazon. It is on sale for $152.00 US.
Rostam R thanks for your nice comment and thanks for watching 👍
A really excellent video. So good I bought one exactly as the one you have yesterday.

A review using the same car i have. awesome

That’s a very good question 🙋🏻♂️ but I’m not sure 🤔 I can’t say I’ve ever had an issue whilst mine has been left in its pouch 👝 👍
Absolutely spot on, thanks a lot for the full review.
Helpful video. I was wondering if the clicking was normal
Yes it’s normal 👍
Very good , can I charge my car battery via the 12v Aux port using this NOCO ? tia.
Sorry I’m not really sure on that one. If I was to have a guess, I’d say no 👍
All this talk and doesn’t even start the vehicle 🙄🙄🙄
A P yeah sorry about that 🤦🏻♂️ but at least you know a little more about the product 👍
great review man, just put my order in for one :)
Thank you for this video.
very nice review.thanks from Greece.
Where is your accent from? Thanks for the review, just ordered from Halfords 👍🏻
Thanks for watching! Originally from Sheffield but then moved to Norwich and now been in Australia 13 years 👍
Aussie Aussie Aussie 👍
just ordered it, great review
Hello thanks for the review. I though you connect positive to positive and negative to earth when jump starting a car? Thanks
Ash Sanders you can do both 👍
Indeed there are some battery's out there that do need the negative to earth instead of a battery terminal it was frustrating working that one out lol
Which is the boost button and how do you use it?
Hey Philip, it’s the red button highlighted with an exclamation ❗️It’s right next to the light switch. Google it and you’ll find plenty of videos. Good luck 👍
Can you leave this in the trunk of your car even if its hot or cold out?
Great question! I haven’t heard of any issues, nor have I had any myself. To be on the safe side you could always purchase a Noco Protection Case 👍
Thank you for your effort
HC!? he didn't start the truck at the end??
If peak amperage is 1,500 what is starting amperage ?
Good question Caleb, unfortunately I can’t find the answer to your question. Sorry.
Great video! Very cool! Thank you!
Thanks, helpful video..
Got my GB 50 cyber Monday sell for 90
WHAAT!!! That’s such a good deal!! 👍

I tried to charge my Windows Surface 10 tablet, and it won’t work. Am I missing something? Do I need a special cable to make this work? My phone charged just fine, the tablet just won’t do it.

That’s very strange. Do you have another spare cable that you could try? No special cables required to my knowledge.

You didn’t do nothing of showing how to jump start a car
My gb50 is dead after one day of setting after a full charging, not happy at all
Sorry to hear this news. I have zero issues with mine.
Same happened to mine
Mine was 3 attempts of starting still didn't start and Noco was dead.
