I don't understand the hate for the Celtics. They are a good organization that build a title team from the ground up, they made all the right moves, got all the right players, they didn't sign or trade for any stars like basically every other team, instead their two best players were drafted and developed in Boston. And the guys they did sign and trade for are what makes up their phenomenal supporting cast, they did all the right things to win this title, and nobody seems to give them any credit.
The more successful u r the more hate u get, also the fatigue of seeing the Celtics always win but never finish the job until now was getting old for people
Totally agree! And it's not like we have controversial/unlikable players like Draymond, Kyrie, Harden, Embiid, etc our players are stand-up guys on and off the court: give back to the community, don't have toxic egos, play team ball, show respect for the opponents and the game... So I can only assume it's all envious fans who don't like we are the NBA Celtics best team most titles, as Janos would say lol
Absolutely insane how you show almost every single basket, but didnt show the insane halfcourt shot by Pritchard. That was the most electric moment of the finals.
Im now leaving this vid since it doesnt have that... And may I remind you... He did it TWICE! In the Finals against the Mavs. 4 total.. 2 against Mavs.. 1 against Pacers.. 1 against Cleveland.. ( not as half court as the others but still crazy)
The ball movement from this Celtics team was a thing of beauty. The media likes to push great individual players and performances in their narrative but they proved that it is great TEAMS that win titles
Great team, and individual passing, have become a lost art. It's always been my favorite part of the game, and is what makes basketball my favorite sport. The 1986 Boston Celtics, 87 Los Angeles Lakers, 2014 San Antonio Spurs, and the 2024 Celtics, are the greatest passing teams I've ever seen. Not surprisingly, all of those teams I mentioned, won the NBA Title. The last truly great passer in the NBA I've seen, was Steve Nash with Phoenix.
I am a Bulls fan and I have been watching NBA since 1993. I have never seen a more complete player than Tatum offensively to be honest. He can drive like Lebron and shoot like KD. He is has tremendous handles as well.
It was a great night! On the anniversary of the 08' championship win, we got #18! Cant wait for the home opener to see them get their rings and #18 banner go up to the rafters!
With healthy KP , thats sure thing. But still without him, and with Al and Tilman on 5 i consider celtics as favourites. JB seckond year of his prime, and we still didnt saw best from JT.
The Celtics had to fundamentally change their game during the Indiana series: Offensively, they began moving their guards to the front of the rim and creating passing lanes (rather than just standing outside the arc). This opened up so many easy looks and passes - especially when Indiana doubled-teamed Tatum on the ball. The results were easier, quality shots. Defensively they consistently crashed the boards as a team - partly due to the injury to Porzingis - but also pressured the ball laterally. The shot blocking and athleticism were off the charts and they developed a serious mental toughness to win games late with their defense. By the time Dallas came to town they were a balanced, well oiled machine - completely different from the offensive juggernaut we watched all season. Winning it in Boston was the cherry on top.
Defense is fundamental...Growing up I had a coach that told me 1 thing that made me a good defender.... "A player can't go anywhere without his hips" From then on if I wanted to stay in front of a guy that's what I watched...the turn of the hips and obviously feel but its amazing how 1 simple thing turned my defense around...it kills me watching these guys sometimes as the game is so offensive that its almost ruined for me

@Sylv1ception71 il y a 0 seconde Yes it was soooooo hard for the Celtics lol. Eastern conference was a joke, as usual... western conference was a jungle, as usual. 👏🥹 congratulations you deserve it for your hard work The difference between the 2022 Celtics is they were young and inexperienced they played two game sevens by the time they got to the NBA finals against Golden State they were tired and failed to get the job done. Vs this year’s Celtics they were mature experienced and ready for the moment.
