Tesla was (and is) a sounding alarm for other automakers. The decreased production for ModelY since they are jumping into a new update. They could lower prices even more and still be generating more income than other automakers.
Aubrey... it may be a good idea to include more "specific" numbers vs using %. For example GM Ev sales went up %50, so last quarter they sold 100 EVs and this quarter they sold 150 EVs, where as Tesla sales went down 10%, so last quarter Tesla sold 100,000 EVs and this quarter they sold 90,000. What is more relevant, the percent, or the fact that Tesla is selling 600X more than GM??? Numbers can be used to say anything... Teslas market share has decreased (guess) 5%, well since Tesla was close to 100 percent market share, anyone selling any EVs at all meant Teslas market share decreases, that is just math, but not reflective of how the EV market is doing or how Tesla is doing in it. Relevant, intelligent facts are what matters. This is why mainstream media is so bad, they can state a misleading fact, that has nothing to do with anything, but creates a negative notion around Tesla. Spreading FUD. Or maybe, if you recite numbers from a company, discuss and explain why that number is or is not relevant, discuss the meaning of the number you are citing.
I work here at the port port of Rhode Island and those Chevy Tracks and Trucks are coming by the thousands from Mexico every week. I guess they are selling well.
Percent change is a statistic you need to be careful with. Especially as it relates to dollars. In the high inflation times we live in, if your revenue/profit isn’t up by more than 20 odd percent in the past three years, in terms of real dollars, you are at best flat or even and in worst case down. Same applies to unit sales. If you only sell 1000 units last quarter and this quarter you sold 1200 units, that’s a 20% increase. But you only sold 1200 units. Lies, damn lies and statistics. Caveat emptor.
This is a good video. If numbers are good in a poor market It’s hard to take quarterly earning reports at face value after reading the book, “The man who broke capitalism” about Jack Welch. That said if numbers are bad it may be worse than it reflects

Hey I’m surprised you didn’t mention the Buick envista, I own a turo fleet with this car and it’s another GM vehicle that’s cheap
and made in china if I'm not mistaken....
@@leafnutz2341 what does that have to do with what I said?
Tesla is doing just fine. I get the feeling that some people want tesla stock to crash lick FSD
Why is anyone talking about GM?
You actually get it. So amazing how few actually do.
Wow that Hertz. 😂

Not true. I just bought 7 teslas. Amazing!! Let’s go!!
My neighbors all have Teslas, business is booming.
self-selection is strong in you.
you have 5 million neighbours
@@Mr11ESSE111 According to Google I have 8.3 million neighbors in NYC.
Love your videos but your constant blinking and closing your eyes for a few seconds every few seconds is distracting
Never buying tesla.
GM is owned by SIAC which is Chinese so I don’t think they care as much about that market.
declining profit? as in, $99 BILLION instead of $100 BILLION? and oh my hot damn that shirt is really cute on you and your hair is perfect.
Lol, I believe that was a 45% decline. So $55 BILLION instead of $100 BILLION. It's like if I took your annual earnings, and cut it in half...
Wow, that Hertz.
