I remember going to see him and after being really late, he performed (badly) for 20 minutes and then ran off the stage.

@@maha77 The extended version of this was the B-Side of the 12" You Spin Me Round. The first time I heard it, it literally stopped me in my tracks - it was SO different to the A-side. To this day, that extended mix of 'Misty Circles' remains my favorite Dead or Alive song.

II recently discovered DOA's music and every time I listen to these gems I realize how incredible the group is and Pete's genius. I have listened to almost all of the band's records and I am amazed at the quality of the music and the power of the lyrics. This is just one example of this group wonder. Timeless.
Rest in Peace, Pete! I am going to miss you. You were such an incredible person & musician with a vision. You helped define a generation of music and fashion. You had such a beautiful spirit. Gone too soon.

I've loved you Pete since day one. Sad that you didn't realize how much you were loved by so many. I so wish Pete hadn't changed all that didn't need changed. It would have been wonderful if he knew just how amazing he was as the real him, and he still never found true happiness. So sad.
I remember 30+ years ago I bought my first DOA album and a door poster at 2nd Ave Records in (of all places) Portland, Ore.. In spite of not being widely promoted, Pete's influence spread around the world. Even to some of the smallest corners. I've watched so many interviews with Pete over the years and he always seemed surprised when someone said they bought a DOA tape in some obscure place.I don't think he ever really understood his reach. Even though I never met Pete I can't imagine my life without him.or his music My heart just breaks for Michael. Pete obviously loved him so much...

I understand Lynne was a rock in his life...from being a wife to personal assistant, hair make up and wardrobe person etc...i often wonder if in the end the marriage has become platonic...

I don't like when people say that Pete was like Boy Gorge just judging on their appearance. Pete had much more powerful voice and as for me, this and other songs from mid 80s by Dead or Alive can't be even compared with music by Culture Club.
