- This one is simply one of the sleaziest (and most fun) songs of 1987. On top of that, it's performed by an openly gay man. (please don't ask me what "Boom Boom" means! LOL) I think it was banned on pop radio, from what I remember. Still, some radio djs were daring enough to play it.

This song came out when I was 9 and it had huge radio play in Houston. I had no idea what it was about but my friend and I made up (wholesome and naive) alternative lyrics. Something about throwing some boy we knew out the window and make him go boom Lol.

This song was banned from my grade 8 dances, back in '87, along with Mony, Mony by Billy Idol (due to the concert lyric version). Strange how times have changed - almost nothing gets banned anymore.

Was watching a DJ do a forgotten 80s lockdown show on youtube the other day. I suggested doing a one hit wonders show and he agreed. I got a list of songs together. Some from my head and others from the net. This song was one of them. Haven't heard this in years.
