Even if it were HP%, it would only benefit a few characters like Barbara and then Kokomi a year later. Hydro resonance only makes sense now thanks to Furina and Neuvillette.
It was definitely between anemo and hydro with anemo having an edge before dendro released. After 3.0, not only did hydro gain all the good dendro reactions, it also got the double hydro bonus which was insane
Nice video! Loved the editing and presentation. Small note: Hydro resonance used to give Healing Bonus and was only changed in version 3.0 to give 25% HP. And Ayato's HP scaling is rather minimal, so hydro resonance isn't optimal for him (though it doesn't hurt to have for him).
Nice vid man! I love how concise your information is and the way you deliver it. Keep it up man!! ps. I’d love to see this exact same thing but with electro, I feel like since launch and today so many characters have just had their stocks go so high because of dendro. again love the vid keep it up!
resonance used to be healing up until Fontaine I think. also taser fell off fast and never rlly picked up, I remember international was the most meta team alongside morgana for early genshin. also childe burgeon is a team that never caught on lol. ty for your insights tho, very well said.
Imo before sumeru, anemo was the best element It was the trilogy of cryo pyro and hydro doing damage. With vape, melt and freeze all being great But then anemo characters took every single one of those teams to another level
I enjoyed the video. Subscribed! I remember when I started playing in 2.1, I didn't know what I was doing and it seemed most enemies I fought were Hydro (=immune to Hydro) so I didn't build Hydro characters until Sumeru, actually. I used solo Physical Noelle for like a year T_T
I really liked this video, and the concept. I think it could be a big improvement if you slowed it down a bit though, there's a lot more to talk about with each character's release IMO and the video feels really fast paced to the point where I can't really absorb the information on each character
Thanks for the input I'll try in future installments to slow it down and discuss more It's hard to gauge how long a video will be based off script I expected it to be longer!
it didn't take THAT long for Xingqiu to become noticed. he was very popular with Keqing Electro-Charged from the start (especially before they fixed thundering Fury) his main issue really early on is the same as Xiangling; that Energy Recharge was hard to get for many teams. There was no Emblem set, Fav/Sac weapons were rarely R5 and ER substats were few and far between. Then you have characters like Diluc who could run on a 12s rotation with only 40 energy cost and it's not suprising that it took a bit for him and Xiangling to catch on. People forget how slow leveling AR was back then and how scarce Artifacts were, these character aren't quite as good with the random weapons and artifacts most players had at the time. Physical Xiangling was so popular precisely cause of how scuffed our options were.
I remember being one of the Kokimi haters. And I still KINDA am to this day. But I just hate her gameplay wise. I hate her cause at the time, we already had Barbara and Mona and hadn't gotten a five star hydro unit ever. So when Kokomi came out I was hyped to finally have a five star hydro unit... Only for that unit to be Hydro's 3rd Catalyst user (which was a large number back then) and play nearly exactly like Barbara but better. The disappointment I had was so huge it legitimately got me angry. And this was right before Itto who I thought also played like a five star Noelle. During that time I just thought Genshin was running out of ideas and recycling old character's gameplay and making them better then passing them off as new characters. This thought process started with Kokomi and basically lasted until Sumeru came out. Shenhe and Yun Jin were the only characters during that time who I consider original ideas in terms of characters that came out at the time.
Back when Childe initially released, Hydro resonance was incoming healing bonus😅
And they didn't fix it until almost 2 years later

Correct. It was healing bonus, which was worse.
@@leonardoalvarenga7572yelan?
@@Hakarisdomain There are many more, I just mentioned the first two.
Back in 1.0-2.8, Hydro Resonance was Healing Bonus. It became HP% after 3.0

I also like to pretend that Hydro Traveler doesn't exist.
Who? 😉
No one. Hydro's the best.
Hydro who?

amazing video, keep up the great work!!
hydro can vaporize and freeze... like one wise man said, water is both offensive and defensive
