Stands there totally blind, next to his dead friend still screaming 'I won't complain' and 'Thankyou lord' and still smilling while doing it. What an incredable man. Good night Luther. You were a large portion of the worlds soul.

@@zettelkastendev3760 ok ONLY due to seeing your comment being from a matter of being a couple of weeks ago, and having just seen a better quality version TONIGHT (although from a behind the shoulder of Stevie vantage that does occasionally pan out to the crowd: Aretha, Cissy, Patti, Jesse Jackson, etc) am I telling you this. The link is below and I SWEAR it ain’t no mess. The fact that you’ve come to a 15 year old video and 13 days ago you posted your comment, I find it to be no coincidence that I share this. Enjoy 💚💚💚

Every singer sings differently, I love Luther but I have to disagree respectfully. If you say that, thats disrespecting everyone that came before and after him not that present days music that good. What about Aretha, Whitney, even the man singing at his funeral Stevie Wonder? Luther fans might agree with you but everyone else probably not.

Irony: As a life long church goer I've heard 'I Won't Complain' sung countless times by singers(including myself) who've mimicked Stevie's vocal tone and riffs. To hear this Gospel classic sung by the man himself is truly a treat. Respect, remembrance, and RIP to my favorite R&B vocalist, Luther Vandross.

He died 1st July, 2005. I remember it like it was yesterday because my husband and i had just finished taking our pre-wedding pictures and stopped by a friend's club to say hello when i saw it on the news. It hit me hard because i always said as a child that whenever i grow up that i would have Luther Vandross sing at my wedding and there he was dead, a few days before my wedding. He was a wonderful performer.

He as well as Luther are instruments from God and project his spirit and power. I am not as religious as I should be but truly feel the raw emotion and sincerity in his voice. It's sad to see when a singer and friend (Stevie Wonder) has to say goodbye to a follow singer and friend (Luther Vandross)

Absolutely amazing and inspiring. Stevie transcends and reaches....what this is an artist communicating with everyone listening, outside of himself, laying it all on the table.
Friends, this is not about in tune, out of tune, this key, that key. It's about what happens when musical performance stops being about the perfomer completely, and succeeds in being about those things we are all reaching for.
    Amen, Stevie, and RIP Luther.

Stevie is so fantastic and brilliant. He can sing anything. This is so heartfelt. I miss Luther. Even with the recession and all the trouble of the world I will not Complain. I might discuss it but I will not complain. RIP all the great ones and we all know who they are. And may we all remember that God is Good to Us, So We Should Not Complain. Amen. Thanks for the post.
