The IT support cert is also a way to get Into WGU if you have no prior IT experience, I’m currently taking the IT cert with the intent to go into cyber security, and it’s been great so far for getting my feet wet 👍🏻

I may finish this course within my 7 day trial... maybe 3-4 hours a "block" and I've learned a decent amount, but knew probably 3/4 of the material. It's an easy win in my book, and good break from the harder courses.
it’s so weird because i see so many people saying it’s useless but in my country it isn’t my father hired someone because she had that certificate (not only because of the certificate of course but seeing the certificate made them hire her over the other applicants)
certificates are basically quicker than degrees, but they add more projects to your portfolio, which is great and actually showcases your skills to potential employers.
Hi Nicole. I need your insight please. I am over 40 and recently migrated to the United States. I currently work as a cna which honestly pays nothing. I am looking to change careers and IT seem to be in high demand. I would like for you to please recommend high paying IT jobs that requires no coding and programming. Looking forward to your response.
Still confused. Do I still have any chance of getting an IT job and cybersecurity going from teaching into this field without an IT degree? I don't have the money for yet another degree.
then what will it take? i have zero work experience however i have a bachelors degree information systems, im 85% finished with Google IT support certification, then going for CompTIA A+ , then FINALLY i can get an interview? for a $20/hr entry level job in NYC? losing faith...

They aren't useless if you learn the information. A lot of people have gotten jobs from them
@@nicoleenesse, yes, I read about thar one person outside the US who got a job.
And they don't give you the certificate unless you know the information. 😂

This is the best way before getting into cybersecurity? For someone like me who has no IT background, just basic knowledge of computers.
Google IT support is a great place to start. It prepares you for the CompTIA A+ and is VERY easy to understand
@@nicoleenesse So a good roadmap would be Google IT support , CompTIA A+ and what else would you recommend after this?
