Warn them that there may still be some weird solo timer, ot means if you’re in the mission too long it will kick you from the mission, I haven’t looked into it for new developments on it but i think it might still exist, it’s something only i’ve noticed because i was in the mission absurdly long, and i’m pretty sure it’s not in endless missions but yea just a weird thing
@ only specific missions and it’s one of two afk timers, one just prevents you from gaining anything especially in endless missions, the other just counts down from around 15min and if you take too long it fails your mission I wanna say the ability to pause the game works in solo but i’m not sure i feel like i’ve seen what happens when you ‘fail’ even when the game is paused
For real, I love how drastically you can alter a character’s game plan. You _can_ run Kullervo as a red-critting melee powerhouse, but you could also go all-in on his rain of knives augment and be more of an area denial caster/nuker. And that’s before we get into some of the delicious glitch builds that are possible lmao
What impresses me is that 12 years in they're somehow *still* coming up with new and interesting mods. The Cannonade and Acuity sets and their mechanic of stat locking are especially interesting to me, and I'm looking forward to seeing where they go with it.
The Dev team is actually super fun focused and player friendly. Before Bullet jumping there was a method called “Coptering” which involved some Weapon Jank. The Team saw what kind of movement we wanted and gave us the bullet jump. More recently, a new Vehicle was given in the new 1999 segment of the game, it was only intended to be used there but a bug let you use it on any map. When they found out, they not only kept the vehicle use in any mission, but made it so that it loads smoothly.

Once you start playing Warframe as a Destiny player you realize how much Destiny will never have and you probably won’t go back. Another point is most missions can be completed in 10 minutes if you wanna just do the objective or longer if you wanna fight
I haven’t been back since August after 4000+ hours in the Destiny universe strictly because of Warframe. Truly, every gripe I use about Destiny or feature I wanted in that game was in Warframe. I was very fortunate to have a friend guide me through the Star Chart and fill in gaps for me in terms of remembering story beats so that helped but fr, sticking with Warframe.
Same, I’ve been in airframe for a couple weeks now, and I will never go back to destiny. I had already out the game down anyway, but playing warframe showed me just how bad it was.
Yeah but it goes both ways, once you play warframe you realize destiny has things that game will never have. As someone who’s done all types of content, nothing has scratched that itch like GMs or raids, or solo dungeons, let alone dungeons. The games are very different, your satisfaction from warframe is making broken builds. In destiny it’s learning how to play so well after getting a build, and dominating content most people struggle to stay alive in. Two different gameplays, two different rewards, one is more about builds, and the other is more about skill. You ever hit a damage rotation on a raid boss and do so much damage three other players combined match yours? That’s the shit destiny players live for. You ever locked in with your team on day one and stomp that boss yall been stuck at? Nothing like warframe. Warframe is great in its own way, but it’s much more similar to Diablo in its reward. It isn’t about skill as much as it is about game knowledge to beat the game. Eidolon hunts are trivial once you know how to build your weapons. Then it just becomes a time skill.
Destiny 2 had content equivalent to Warframe, and then they got a major update where Destiny 2 removed expansions that people had paid for, and it never recovered from that
It also has survival mode. There's rumors that some players soloed a whole survival mission for one straight hour. Depending on the level it's possible. Survival missions are my specialty. I love them. And they come with a catch. Every five minutes that pass the enemy level increases by either one or two. That doesn't sound like much. But after about ten minutes you notice the difference All I can say is that if you wanna go into survival and really have some fun. You make sure you're unkillable. And you can blow everyone to kingdom come!! Ahahahahahahahahha!!!!
This is genuinely the perfect video to show to anyone who considers this game, thank you tenno youve done well ill be sure to share this to who needs it
You did a great job explaining why I bounced off Destiny after a few hours at most. Dealing with a dozen copies of the same weapon with seesawing stat bonuses makes me feel like I’m doing my taxes. More importantly, it didn’t feel like there was a way for me to _start_ the story. I got endgame cutscenes essentially saying, ‘They’re finally here. After all this time, the Sentients are invading. We’ve been building up to this for years,’ like…20 minutes into the game.
@@Densoro I hadn't been playing from the beginning when I started, and (whatever expansion was newest when I started) did the same thing to me. Not a fan of having to watch a 4 hour video of someone else playing through the story to see it since they took it out.
I have been playing Destiny for more than 5 years now, and the moment I touched Warframe, I realised how much Destiny could have done, but they were too afraid of "overdelivering.". I mean, a space game doesn't let you fly your ship in space. I always wanted that, but now I have found my new love & I'm happy!

yes, but also no, warframes diferences go beyond what their kit does. from movement speed, to even passive effects that completely change the way you will fight. some do much better as spammers, while others feel much better as weapon plataforms, buffing them and letting you just run and gun/slash. they are incredibly versitile, even when they share similar abilities, like for example nidus larva and vauban vortex. they do similar things, but are still so completely diferent, you will not play them in the same way.
Can we call it valted if it never was in open access in a first place? 🤔 Tho' as far as I know there is STILL ways to get it somehow from those who have it.
Excalibur prime isn't "vaulted" in the same way other primes get vaulted and unvaulted. They can't bring him back ever for legal reasons because of how the Founders program works. But you can thank Excal prime for the existence of the game right now.
@@scottdesemberer8751 No, Lato Prime, Skana Prime and Excalibur Prime are unobtainable, and have been since Nov 1st 2013 Afaik the only other thing you will never get again, are Mag and Frost Heirloom Skins. But Excal, Lato and Skana Prime, as well as Mag and Frost Heirloom are now unobtainable.
Excalibur Prime is essentially the Founder's pack and will never be obtainable for legal reasons, as the comment above mentioned. We players do get an alternative version of it and that's as best it gets, without spoiling much of the game.
One thing I feel should be said is when talking about “later game” warframes, they aren’t stronger, just different. Every frame is entirely viable into all of the hardest modes of play. Some just have more specific and others more general uses. Primes are just stat increases to frames so they’re much less important on frames than weapons. A very nice thing about primes though is that you can trade for them early or get the parts without even being far enough through the star chart or story missions to unlock the base frame the prime is based on. It’s also good because some frames can be a bit annoying to grind normally.
you forgot to mention: the music, cause damn that hits hard the mech suits the part where you get to fly about in space now onto more frame recommendations! Yareli: if you really like the hoverboards there's a frame with a built in hoverboard, and she can be a caster or a gun-zerker and both are tanky. Her quest will probably make you hate the hoverboard but once you have had time to calm down and try her out you wont regret it. You can even turn the hoverboard into a pet if you want. Valkyr: She didn't really get shown off to much, but she is an amazing frame once you get the build right, her slide attack is the most common meta for her and that gets to 2 mil dmg with the right build. Easy to acquire but needs late game content to really shine as the density of targets is just too low to keep with her 4th's energy drain. She is one of the tankyest frames in the game looking at pure Armor and HP so you can just build her as a HP tank and never die till you reach the point where you can really unleash her into her 4th. These 2 are later on in the story but feel like I should bring them up for how different they are to what i felt was possible in Destiny: Octavia: a frame all about music, she is the easiest frame to play and you get to bring your own beat with you. Infinitely scaling damage with just 1 ability and team wide buffs, the down side to all this is that she is as fun as you make her, if you stand still being invisible that's on you. 72 Essential Octavia Builds will see you though everything. Titania: remember that part where I said you get to fly in space? now you can do that in normal missions! Tiny and really hard to hit Titania is the fairy that picked violence! With guns! She is also the fastest frame in the game capable of phasing though the map. Theirs so many frames to pick from and this is only scratching the surface of what they can all do, Warframe is a massive power fantasy and a lot of fun to play. If you think you have found everything there's always going to be something else you can find.
on every front I think destiny music is better just because it’s the one thing they put love into at the time, “we all lift together” is goated but can it beat “the first disciple” or “beyond light”….. No

The devs HAVE said that they plan to bring raids back. They’ve said it many times, actually. For many years. We’re just still waiting any real info on the subject I also would have mentioned how fantastic the storytelling is in the main questline of Warframe
For me wispers where testing, like look at that boss... Even new tank get one shoted and archons i still dont see build that kill sand boss on steal in one hit, at his best version was 15-30 minuts fight where you must moce all the time or you die plus new game mode that have 3 mission i row and first 4 week it end on boss as 3 mission... They testing ways to give you few h raids that cant be rush to much so players dont be toxsic when someone dont play broken build.
@@Darlf_Sevil raiding in warframe needs to change a bit on how the session can restart without failing the mission entirely. In Destiny, every encounter is a reset point. In Warframe, if everyone dies to "reset", it goes mission failed instead of restarting the encounter. Warframe could make a time limit reset for a mechanic or everybody gets tp'd out of the room and reset the encounter/boss. But then resources are already used, revives even. As for players to not nuke a boss too fast, I hate that we might have to use damage attenuation in a 6-8 people raid. Or segmenting the boss health in phases. Imo - Warframe raiding can be done but very very differently. And no, the answer is not "Oops! All Eximus!"

They have gone back and forth, saying they intend to bring back raids, saying they have no plans for the next 5 years, saying they are going to, then saying basically that the plans are being put back on ice. 4:11 small addition: you can wallrun and climb up walls by sticking to a wall and spamming space (aim up to climb up and aim sideways to wallrun), you can cling to a wall Spidey-style by holding right click mid climb/run, and you can walk on ropes by pressing X near a rope
Slots for warframes and weapons can be earned in game or obtained via other means without spending plat: - Fully built warframes are given away from time to time when DE feels like it. Sometimes from watching important streams, sometimes just for logging in. When you earn/receive in that way, you automatically get a slot. You can keep things as they are, or delete the frame (if duplicate or you don't want it) but you keep the slot. - The above also happens for weapons and weapons are more common to be given away/earned through some means. - Battle pass has has slots as rewards - Slots are sometimes in twitch drops, though it's rare Worth noting that buying a fully built warframe also includes a slot in the price, it's just nice you're not being milked extra for this. Somehow over time, I slowly bought slots or earned slots, and I easily have enough slots for all warframes and hundreds of weapons, without ever feeling like DE forced my hand. I had a friend who played Warframe for 5 years, reaching MR26 or something, never spending a dime and not suffering while playing. He recently bought some plat cause he had steam cash from some steam marketplace sale.
Even those you're still only slapping together 2-4 of the buggers rather than grinding forever for the real stats. The actual "rollable" source of variance is Rivens, and the Disposition system means that while you can still get "god rolls" they're never so gamebreaking, as weak/unused weapons are literally guaranteed better rolls to bring them up to parity rather than exacerbating the best guns into mandatory meta picks. Again though, that's all fairly later on and completely optional, a lot of good weapon builds do not need a riven mod.
@@BobisOnlyBob yeah you might say that Rivens are basically optional content. I don't have any build with such EXCEPT a Rubico Prime I use for Eidolon hunts, for which I lucked out on a riven and got CC+CD, but even then without that I was using it just fine. One thing that drives me away from using them is the fact kuva is a bitch to farm consistently, and the trading market being over the top with prices. Still, not too big of an issue when I can make anything good without a riven.
A lot of people have comments anything already, I am going to point one thing out that I feel amazing about. Two persons who do dev short which is basically very short stream from devs to every few weeks are Steve Sinclair (Digital Extreme's CEO) and Rebecca Ford (Creative Director) The concept of players being able to somewhat directly discuss with people who are such higher ups in company that frequently is so surprising to me
2:40 and it is worth to note that chief and most devoted Warframe players and streamers are - and always were, and always will be - Digital Extremes. By sheer coincidence, those are exactly the same people who make Warframe in the first place, so it has that flair of "Hey folks watch this cool shit we made. Want some?"
So glad you mentioned Railjack. It's genuinely so fun. On release it was a dumpster fire but they've fixed it and it's awesome. Unfortunately not many play it because its terrible release left a bad taste in everyone's mouth that still lingers today.
Honestly the only issue with railjack is that it's really self contained, and the only other system it interacts with is the final step of facing a Lich. Personally, i just play it every now and then to get some endo and materials for feeding helminth, but i do really enjoy it
To me, the hardest selling point to new players or players coming from other games, is just how dense Warframe is with content and mechanics. It can be super overwhelming at first and drive players away. My advice on that is just take things slowly, take your time to learn things, set your own goals for what you want to work on, and unless you're struggling in some form of content, don't worry about min/maxing. There's no true "endgame" in Warframe, just something else to work towards, so there's no rush to "get caught up". Warframe is like the ocean. Sure you can go exploring far out to sea, go deep sea fishing, or dive beneath the waters to see what the depths hold. But you can also spend all your time just on the beach, enjoying the sun and maybe dipping your toes in the shallows, having fun and never worrying about what lies beneath the waves.
for starters my recomendations are always the same, EXCALIBUR, SKANA SWORD, LATO PISTOL, PARIS BOW, The reason i say excal instead of volt(and i am someone who started with volt), is that, excal is better prepared for the start of the game. volt starts with absurdly small armor, which, at later game can be fixed, but at the start will lead to ALOT of deaths. excal abilities will also serve as an amazing way to deal with multiple enemies. his 1st gives him timed invulnerability, and will hit multiple enemies, its not amazing, but gets the job done, his second will blind enemies around him, giving not only cc, and breathing room, but also open them up to finishers, his 3rd is a small area nuke, that, while not strong, still will serve incredibly well at the start, and finally his 4th is hands down the best ability he has to offer. as he summon a light saber, that throws beams of light with every slash, moonlight sword style. volt on the other hand has amazing skills as well, but it will take some time to get used to them, it wont take long for his abilities to feel underpowered. and he really does need carefull moding, much more than excal at the start. so my advice, as someone who started with volt, is to pick excal. finally, the main reason is, volt is FAR easier to get later than excal. since excal will require farming from a boss that is kind of a pain in the ass to grind. while volt can be gotten by simply buying its parts at the dojo instead. finally, this is something i mentioned earlier, but i will explain better now. the biggest issue with volt is that, it has absurdly low armor. so, without proper modding, you will hit the survivability issue much earlier. this is a no issue later, due to the many mechanics you can make use of. but earlier on, between enemies level 20 and 30? you will get downed as volt constantly without a good mod setup. while excal wont really face issues until around 40-50. having so much more base armor added as well as his blind ability.
I love the fact that you are probably one of the first content creators I've seen realizing Warframe is not an actual "looter shooter". Weapons not having RNG stats, mods not having RNG stats, those are literally against the "soul" of a looter shooter, that's the lootchase. In warframe you don't chase a weapon loot, you just get it once and it's done. Same with mods. And yes, Rivens exist, but that's are so out of the gameplay loop that who cares
@@yamid452 I mean, it takes like 5 mins to unlock its perks and you can only build for either base weapon or incarnon mode. There's not much depth to them
Personally I suggest Excal as the starter frame, because he will easily hard carry you through a couple harsh DPS checks (some if the junction specters, and the sentients). Also it's super quick and easy to get volt from your dojo.
I agree because acquiring Excalibur from mission drops can take a good bit of grinding - is one of the tougher frames to acquire time-wise. Ultimately, you'll want to acquire a second of every frame so it can be subsumed in the Helminth system giving you one of those abilities that can be put onto a a different frame - because subsuming a frame basically sacrifices it.
@@nauseanausea190 i can't think of any reason you'd need radial blind on any warframe tho lol, at most you'll sacrifice an excalibur for collectionism
They do vault farmable Relics. I tried to get the Relics required to farm Mesa Prime. I actually have all but 1 piece constructed and ready to go, but my last Relic with a chance for that last piece dropped and gave me something else. Not even a Forma blueprint. And after wasting 2 days at the Trading Relay, I finally checked the Wiki and saw that specific Relic had been vaulted for some time before I last played prior to that point. :(
Use Warframe Market. Put up your blueprints that are worth 45 ducats or more for what everyone else is selling theirs for and just wait for ppl to message you about buying your blueprints. Mesa Prime's neuroptics are going for 22-25 plat rn.
Warframe market is the way to go for sure (just google it, youtube hates URLs). It's annoying that the game still directs new players to Maroo's when next to no-one uses it any more, but I can understand them not wanting to point players at a 3rd-party listing site at least.
That's weird, the relics will drop the item pool it shows. As for vaulting farmable relics, they will vault the oldest current cycle relic set to make space for new prime relics. They will also remove the featured vaulted relic from the pool for a different vaulted relic as the new featured refarmable vaulted relic. And for your experience, at the end of the year, DE opens up the vaulted relics for a handful of sets to be farmable aka prime resurgence. You might have gotten some in that time except for a few, which are actually tradeable - both prime parts and the relic itself, vaulted or not.
specific relics do get vaulted because of rotations, but you can trade or get other unvaulted relics for the parts. right now the mesa parts are available through relics in the resurgence menu, just need some aya
Correction: The devs keep dropping hints in the dev streams about how big raids will be coming back. They're currently working on stabilising the network infrastructure and once raids are finished, they'll start on clans for clan raids and clan-vs-clan pvp.
@3:30 regarding buying slots: you get one warframe and 4 weapon slots from each battlepass rotation, so you only need to buy very few if you are patient. login rewards are 4 weapon slots from day 1050 days (yes about 3 yrs of constant login) onward every 150 days (yes about 5 months).
As someone who bounced off Destiny after a couple hundred hours but later played Warframe and now have 700 hours and counting (a lot for me), you covered the main differences fantastically, but there are a few more I'd add: As others have mentioned, weapon/frame/companion mods are a huge thing. Drops are static because 95% of the mechanical complexity comes in using the hundreds of modifiers to make builds for your weapons. This means that nearly anything can become endgame-viable and there are some things that really shine due to how their stats or passive effects interact with mods. There's no gear treadmill; when an update comes out you dont have to go grind out higher-level versions if your existing gear just to stay competitive. Instead there are always new toys to try and mods/arcanes/etc. to make new builds with. Warframe is a lot more _horizontal_ progression. With the exception of the open-world areas, mission levels are procedurally generated by putting together hand-crafted tiles. This sounds like a negative, but the tiles are fantastically designed to flow together, and it keeps missions feeling fresh as you will always be playing through a slightly different location. There's enough sameness to build up intimate spatial knowledge with a tileset, but enough changeability to keep you thinking and reacting to the map instead of sleepwalking through it.
6:50 one of my converts from destiny (friend of brother) was surprised when a random got joined to us, and i didn't realize how unusual that was until you mentioned it XD
Commenting just to try and make the agorithm to show this video to Destiny Players. Cause if you are more to join our Tenno Ranks, then your Streamers can maybe still make a living from streaming Warframe. That's how we are in tenno's ranks : glad to have new player, and happy to help if we can ! :)
A side note on the Prime Vault, all parts are still acquirable even if the particular relic is locked out by vaulting as the relics that exist in your inventory are not messed with. So run relic missions and you can get a ton of primes that you've never thought of because it's the only part that dropped that you don't already have
I've played wf on and off for a couple years. LR1 400days+ 2k hours. Also I'm a solo player (mainly bc the start of wf was roo rough and repetitive to get others into it). Well yeah I can't disagree much, I personally describe wf as the horde shooter were 100 kills a min is considered decent and you can literally solo everything. Balance issues for sure and personally i only do sp relic missions at this point bc that's the most beneficial to me (be it a prime I'm missing or prime junk to make plat to buy my missing primes). Edit: the recommendations are all weird to say the least, every frame is a tank in some way or a cc master and every frame is definitely a dps. But if you try to stick the 59 frames into a 3 guardian system it's bound to be weird I guess.
The fact that the people who designed the tennogen skins get a cut of the revenue is amazing... Not only is it a good incentive to make the skins, but to also make them cooler and stand out so people are more likely to buy them. Peak devs, peak community.
in my opinion mirage is an insanely powerful frame for mid or early game players because the quest is very easy and mirage shreds everything and used to be my go to frame for mr farming on weapons because of the dmg boost ....and a lot of people do not recommend mirage idk why..also the skill you get for subsuming her is the best one on her arsenal except prism...making her insanely valuable
If you play destiny for the visceral moment to moment satisfying, crunchy combat, especially the PvP, then Warframe might not draw you in. In Warframe some of the fun comes from the combat, but I’d say more of it comes from exploring the star chart/different game modes, the story which is shorter but far more impactful than destinys, and the free-form build crafting which makes destiny look like a children’s game/hero shooter in comparison. I also think that at the start of the game the combat loop can be very fun with a few enemies in close combat - but likely some players drop off as over time this becomes hordes of hundreds of enemies that (through spending hours perfecting a build) you sweep aside dozens at a time with a melee weapon or ability combo. I have a friend who is MR23/1000 hours in each game, who plays both games, who thinks the grinding is worse in Warframe because he doesn’t enjoy the combat as much. I’d say the grind is similar in both - every grind in Warframe is different and more optional, but some can require >5 hours to get a single Warframe. Meanwhile in destiny you need to run the same strikes every season dozens of times to level up. I have probably ran >1,000 strikes over 10 years. The grinding for better rolls on gear then necessitates running the same seasonal activities dozens of times each season. For anyone thinking of trying the game I’d also point out that the story doesn’t kick in for quite a while and is used as a reward for progress, rather than a requirement before you start grinding like in destiny. The guns also get more satisfying to use the further your progress - many of the low level guns are pretty bland. Context: LR1 with 1,500+ hours in each game but dropped destiny 2 after the Final Shape and won’t be going back after back-to-back years of an underwhelming story (in a world brimming with lore to leverage) and yet again zero risks taken to bring new gameplay loops like the ones listed in this video.
5:30 TECHNICALLY there are three pieces of equipment that will never be available to anyone, ever again. Excalibur Prime, Lato Prime, Skana Prime. Those were in the founder's pack early on. But there is Excalibur Umbra, which is arguably equally good (if different). ALSO: Thechnically, Kuva and Tenet weapons have different, random stats. But those can be "fused" to get increasingly better stats. And also they're reworking the element rolls on them with the next update to where if the weapon is max level, you can pick what bonus element you get instead of being stuck with the one you rolled.
Definitely the one thing warframe needs is a more established endgame with things like raids, besides that Im pleasantly surprised at how many things theyve implemented to help returning players like myself get on track which used to be one of my major complaints
The thing that is so good about Warframe (MR 26 here), is if u want to play it casually the game is made in a way that it does not force you into harder missions. However if you want to try hard the game has so much depth as well. Also. Warframe is much more like Diablo than Destiny. Also. There is so little FOMO in fact that you can quit whenever you want and come back anytime.
Lavos seem fit for warlock since warlock is alchemist scientist magician knowledge thirst and lavos backstory is an alchemist theme. Oberon can be like “well of radiance”one class that heal player on area can pair with the roar (from rhino ability increase damage boost around the player within the caster) Hildryn is another one fitting for Titan Trope being max resilience like hildryn modded shield increases and damage reduction on the shield (with mod named “Adaptation”) I’ll think hunter for theme of warframe is either Loki or Volt/Gyre something like that (since hunter class trope about agility and cunningness. As a Destiny Die-hard white knight, Just play warframe. Yeah the grinding can suck in warframe but I still believe the game (and DE) respect your time so much more than Bungie. I've got over 1000 hours in D2 alone and I feel i've made light years worth of progress in warframe at on 342.7 hours, it's sad how much better QOL and respect warframe has for its players than Bungie/D2 does. Hell I'd even gladly take D1 at this point over D2, at least the content I paid money for never got removed in that one. I'd also say one overall negative for both is them being always online but I get it for Warframe.
I actually love the grind in Warframe, it's my chill time when we just run relics with my friends and talk, maybe even strike up a convo with the randoms. Though DE lately started to reduce the grind by introducing kind of a pity system where you can just buy the things that you try to get for the currency that drops from the missions where you farm it (like Dante for the grid thingies or Koumei for pearls)

Had trouble starting but now i can have fun on my own. Keep coming back to grind (at time of typing trying to collect all the pets on Deimos)
I always tell new players to not take tier lists and "the meta" too seriously in this game. There are mechanics in place to encourage and reward you for building and experimenting with new equipment, so don't stop yourself from chasing that cool looking gun or frame just because someone says it's bad. This game has a way of making your time worth it no matter how you spend it, the worst case scenario is you end up with a piece of gear you don't enjoy using and even then you'll have plenty of other stuff to show for you work.
Literally the only thing that the meta matters are endurance runs on steel path. Sorties can be done easily with a basic build ie no corrupted mods, arcanes, etc
as warframe player i can only say most of grind to make your weapon stronger come from getting mods, the difference betwen unmoded weapon and fully moded are night and day, in fact one of strongest single sword in game you get it for free from early story quest, with mods you can use it forever, even with today standard, new mods new update only make the weapon stronger
I've been playing Warframe for over a decade. I was today years old when I found out there are cosmetic rewards for Conclave. That pretty much sums up how unpopular Warframe PvP is.
For the titan recommendation I would of had atlas in there as well l. Overall amazing job. If I had never played Warframe this would have definitely gotten me to start
I'd say atlas is more for titans instead of rhino. It's the "literally punching thing in the face" frame Rhino would be a hunter, it has good mobility(works in strange ways), one of the best weapon buffing abilities(bane for everything), can nuke with subsumes and the 4th can kinda buff weapons(depends on weapon and build) and crowd control He's all about shooting and not caring about bout anything else. You bout to die? Press 2/4, keep pew pewing People go all into iron skin with millions of over guard, but with around 8k base you are good, since it scales off of enemy damage. You get inmortal time for free, absorb damage and turn it into another health bar, and in the highest levels where it gets destroyed in 1 hit, you get over guard shield(more straight up immortality)
@@ElKITENAUT I was a Titan main in D2 and Rhino always felt more Titan like to me. He has strong "stand and bang" energy (not as much as Kullervo, which is why he's my favorite and most played frame), and the shoulder charge is dead on. I always viewed Hunters as more Zoidberging around the map or going invisible.
@N0strapapas maybe I didn't explain myself correctly. Rhino it's about moving and killing because his kit it's designed for that. His survival skill only works standing if you are doing very low level missions or level cap, otherwise you have to move or it gets depleted without over guard gate. Still works but not ideal. The ones that do fit would be inaros or atlas and maybe revenant, but he also has one of the best DPS abilities
Really good vid. From a former warlock main who played multiple thousands of hours D2 and D1 and achieved everything the game had to offer. I quit about half way into the second season of lightfall. Disillusioned and maybe angry even. And decided then and there not to buy another D2 expansion ever again. I played Warframe for about 7-8 years on the side of D2. And I think you described it very well. Every detail. Even the class picks. I actually play mainly Protea and Citrine and some other casters like Dante. And started with Nova Ember and Mag. Think those hunters wil like Ivara too. Sneaky bastards 😂 and Atlas for the titans. They love to punch things when they finished their crayons. Eyes up Tenno
"The devs have not expressed interest in bringing them [raids[ back." respectfully, false! Pablo and many others at DE have said many times that they'd love to bring raids back, but to do so would be time consuming and cosly, and they're focused on story driven experiences, and end-game activities to keep veterans entertained. :)
big agree on nova recomendation, its my top frame recommendation for players that want bang for their buck. All around good damage, survivability and some unique utility that makes some super annoying things easy. I would recommend it to anyone
0:49 one correction: Warframe's Kuva & Tenet series both require you to farm the same weapon over and over again to get max stats The difference is that you can actually change its stats to something you prefer by changing Warframes, and those extra copies you farmed can be merged into one copy for max stats, so you only really need to farm it twice - unless you want two copies with different elements
You know. Seeing so many people coming over to Destiny feels like a circle closing. Back when Destiny 1 was coming out Warframe wasn't in as good a place as it is now as it basically had Destiny's movement in third person, so people left for Destiny and didn't look back. Some tried to come back but hated the parkour changes. Now more are giving Warframe a shot and are leaving Destiny for it. Feels weird to see it all come full circle.
For me it's a matter of preference, i just don't like warframe's art style and it's gameplay just kinda is ok. I like destiny's art style a lot and the gameplay is greatly enjoyable, for me. basically, I play warframe like people play destiny now i guess? i show for a new update and then i drop it after i grind any new primes that catch my eye or the new warframe. the only reason i get on besides that is to play when a friend asks me to.
I don't see any youtuber that Tenno converting to Guardian, so that means there is a real problem in Destiny series. The good thing, 1 DLC price of Destiny can already build more Warframes and weapons that you can almost beat the game if you build the meta, you still have extra for cosmetics for Fashion Frame.
Only thing I'd push back on here is the Destiny devs are amazing and very passionate, it's Bungie that doesn't allow them to succeed or implement the things they know everyone wants.
Also, yes, "vaulting" content doesn't exist in warframe, at least not like the Destiny's DCV, but there has been a ton of events that had story content/lore in the past that were just a one time thing that yes, "story content" has been retired. Just not the quests
Went through a number of Mains for myself. Ash was my main forever followed by Frost. Then came Revenant and Gauss. I flip between those two but Revenant mostly.
Im surprised you didnt mention Wisp for the recommendations for warlocks. She can easily carry any team, and fits in all team comps across the entire game. She is easily S-tier, and probably the most warlock you can get in WF lol Also in regard to tennogen, its only paid with real money on PC. I mean technically buying plat just means converting real money to premium currency, but on PC you cant buy it with plat. BUT all proceeds go to the artist. On console, artists only get 70% which is still a lot considering many people on console still buy tennogen. Additionally, tennogen is platform locked. Simply put; xbox/ps share tennogen but cant be accessed if you go onto your PC/Switch/IOS and vise-versa so bear that in mind if youre thinking about doing cross-progression system
Not every weapon has a static roll. Kuva, Tenet, and Infested Weapons (when they release) have random damage% and you have to farm more of them to boost that % to the cap.
Gauss Prime not mentioned, sad. If you want anything and everything to die in a single button tap,use him. Also you can use him as a Titan(Kinetic Plating + Naramon School Path). Caster? Thermal Sunder with Zenurik). Ranged Weapons Platforms? can do to. He's your Swiss Army Knife in Warframe
3rd person will always be superior for these games simply because you get to look at the cool character you spent ages getting just right

the "game pauses on solo mode" thing is already something that will make me recommend the game to friends
Warn them that there may still be some weird solo timer, ot means if you’re in the mission too long it will kick you from the mission, I haven’t looked into it for new developments on it but i think it might still exist, it’s something only i’ve noticed because i was in the mission absurdly long, and i’m pretty sure it’s not in endless missions but yea just a weird thing

perfect summary of warframe. I would have talked a bit about mods during the customisation showcase, that's one of the biggest selling points imo

But after about ten minutes you notice the difference
All I can say is that if you wanna go into survival and really have some fun.
We’ve been building up to this for years,’ like…20 minutes into the game.

yes, but also no, warframes diferences go beyond what their kit does. from movement speed, to even passive effects that completely change the way you will fight. some do much better as spammers, while others feel much better as weapon plataforms, buffing them and letting you just run and gun/slash.
they are incredibly versitile, even when they share similar abilities, like for example nidus larva and vauban vortex. they do similar things, but are still so completely diferent, you will not play them in the same way.
They vaulted Excalibur prime. UNPLAYABLE.
Can we call it valted if it never was in open access in a first place? 🤔 Tho' as far as I know there is STILL ways to get it somehow from those who have it.

Corects and concise summary, Tenno. I am a relic of bygone Era, with loki as starter frame.
i started back when Loki was a starter frame , probably a good idea his not a starter anymore.
Well… *looks at Dante* kinda
you forgot to mention:
the music, cause damn that hits hard
the mech suits
the part where you get to fly about in space
now onto more frame recommendations!
These 2 are later on in the story but feel like I should bring them up for how different they are to what i felt was possible in Destiny:
Octavia: a frame all about music, she is the easiest frame to play and you get to bring your own beat with you.
No

4:11 small addition: you can wallrun and climb up walls by sticking to a wall and spamming space (aim up to climb up and aim sideways to wallrun), you can cling to a wall Spidey-style by holding right click mid climb/run, and you can walk on ropes by pressing X near a rope

THANK YOU! Jumping is one of the main reasons I didn't keep playing Destiny as a Warframe player :D
Highly recommend Gyre for any Stormcaller Warlock mains.
Slots for warframes and weapons can be earned in game or obtained via other means without spending plat:
- Fully built warframes are given away from time to time when DE feels like it.
- Battle pass has has slots as rewards
- Slots are sometimes in twitch drops, though it's rare
Worth noting that buying a fully built warframe also includes a slot in the price, it's just nice you're not being milked extra for this.
"Static roll, you only need to get it once"
The Kuva weapons with progenitor and variance : 🤭
That would be a bit beyond the scope of what this video was trying to get across lol.

One thing i hear people constantly say warframe is a destiny rip off when infact its not warframe came out before destiny one
i switched to Warframe from destiny2 (5000hours), a couple of month ago, an boy i have so much fun.. i like your presentation !
for starters my recomendations are always the same, EXCALIBUR, SKANA SWORD, LATO PISTOL, PARIS BOW,
The reason i say excal instead of volt(and i am someone who started with volt), is that, excal is better prepared for the start of the game. volt starts with absurdly small armor, which, at later game can be fixed, but at the start will lead to ALOT of deaths.
excal abilities will also serve as an amazing way to deal with multiple enemies. his 1st gives him timed invulnerability, and will hit multiple enemies, its not amazing, but gets the job done, his second will blind enemies around him, giving not only cc, and breathing room, but also open them up to finishers, his 3rd is a small area nuke, that, while not strong, still will serve incredibly well at the start, and finally his 4th is hands down the best ability he has to offer. as he summon a light saber, that throws beams of light with every slash, moonlight sword style.
volt on the other hand has amazing skills as well, but it will take some time to get used to them, it wont take long for his abilities to feel underpowered. and he really does need carefull moding, much more than excal at the start.
so my advice, as someone who started with volt, is to pick excal.
finally, the main reason is, volt is FAR easier to get later than excal. since excal will require farming from a boss that is kind of a pain in the ass to grind. while volt can be gotten by simply buying its parts at the dojo instead.
finally, this is something i mentioned earlier, but i will explain better now.
the biggest issue with volt is that, it has absurdly low armor. so, without proper modding, you will hit the survivability issue much earlier.
this is a no issue later, due to the many mechanics you can make use of. but earlier on, between enemies level 20 and 30? you will get downed as volt constantly without a good mod setup. while excal wont really face issues until around 40-50. having so much more base armor added as well as his blind ability.
And yes, Rivens exist, but that's are so out of the gameplay loop that who cares
what about incarnon, it feels like weapons from destiny 1 (lvling and unlocking a set of perks)
@@yamid452 I mean, it takes like 5 mins to unlock its perks and you can only build for either base weapon or incarnon mode. There's not much depth to them
@@yamid452 and I love incarnons, don't take me wrong. But I live them because they are super strong
I'd say mag. She can get you all the way to endgame, volt is easy to get and you get exca umbra from the story quests.
Mesa prime is currently at prime resurgence go get it
Great video! Nova is really fun to play, especially when you can chain-reaction a whole bunch of exploding enemies together.
iv been playing both destiny and warframe for over 10 years and can promise you that warframes devs are on there game and care about making it fun.
Dude you really showcased everything that's great about Warframe.
Should we tell them about the forma grind?
@@fulgerion Crack relics, sell prime parts, buy forma. Could not be easier. Plus you get forma BP from fissures too. ABCF: Always Be Crafting Forma.
6:30 To be fair, you cannot play any of the main story missions in a group. The opposite of destiny. So you will have to do the campaign solo
I would like to address any Destiny player.
HAHAHA WE CAN WIGGLE OUR SHIPS!
As someone who bounced off Destiny after a couple hundred hours but later played Warframe and now have 700 hours and counting (a lot for me), you covered the main differences fantastically, but there are a few more I'd add:
As others have mentioned, weapon/frame/companion mods are a huge thing.
0:53 as a veteran tenno… hoard shooter sounds about right 😂 brb while I cry from the accuracy
6:50 one of my converts from destiny (friend of brother) was surprised when a random got joined to us, and i didn't realize how unusual that was until you mentioned it XD
Destiny was a beautiful second dream.
Now I'm god possesed with a devil mind.
You should've mentioned that open world maps WON'T PAUSE in solo play.
Great video! I like warframe because it respects the player and doesn't reach into your pocket. You even get platinum discounts up to 75%
The fact that the people who designed the tennogen skins get a cut of the revenue is amazing... Not only is it a good incentive to make the skins, but to also make them cooler and stand out so people are more likely to buy them. Peak devs, peak community.
Dante it's the incarnation of a warlock in warframe
in my opinion mirage is an insanely powerful frame for mid or early game players because the quest is very easy and mirage shreds everything and used to be my go to frame for mr farming on weapons because of the dmg boost ....and a lot of people do not recommend mirage idk why..also the skill you get for subsuming her is the best one on her arsenal except prism...making her insanely valuable
Thought for sure you'd mention Dante when you were talking about warlock-type frames. XD
It’s so surreal seeing someone play as excal prime
I guess technically arcane helmets but that was made to the much better arcanes
15 hours in destiny and 7k in warframe. your video is accurate and cool.
Definitely the one thing warframe needs is a more established endgame with things like raids, besides that Im pleasantly surprised at how many things theyve implemented to help returning players like myself get on track which used to be one of my major complaints
for the starter frame section, unless you dont want volt at all you should pick volt first because hes a pain in the ass to grind
The closest thing to raids in Warframe would be the world bosses like Eidolons and Orb Mother battles.
Lavos seem fit for warlock since warlock is alchemist scientist magician knowledge thirst and lavos backstory is an alchemist theme.
Oberon can be like “well of radiance”one class that heal player on area can pair with the roar (from rhino ability increase damage boost around the player within the caster)
Hildryn is another one fitting for Titan Trope being max resilience like hildryn modded shield increases and damage reduction on the shield (with mod named “Adaptation”)
I’ll think hunter for theme of warframe is either Loki or Volt/Gyre something like that (since hunter class trope about agility and cunningness.
Btw if the hunter player fan of Celes-NH, Mesa offer one ability that does mimic like golden gun; first ability ballistic battery store damage when you dealing damage to the target build up the charges then deactivate ability manually to give massive damage on the current equipped weapon just one tap and BOOM!!. Target death-
As a Destiny Die-hard white knight, Just play warframe.
@@great_based_one The Citrine grind is the one that killed me. I ended up just farming plat and buying her instead.
@N0strapapas oh man just finished that grind. Putting on a good sons or RUclips video really help. :)
@ The two farms that REALLY killed me were Equi (i got very unlucky with her) and Ivara (the fact that highest droprates for her is Lua spy doesn't help). Thanks god Circuit is a thing now
hildryn farm broke me. tbf it was literally my last frame, I had to buy her straight up.
Played both Destiny and warframe
loved destiny but ended up taking extended breaks. Played destiny one but quit before rise of iron. Played a bit of the Red War..but then bungie sunset it so i quite again. Came back a little bit, but now i don't play unless its with freinds
Warframe...i take breaks, but i always come back.
It's the "literally punching thing in the face" frame
Rhino would be a hunter, it has good mobility(works in strange ways), one of the best weapon buffing abilities(bane for everything), can nuke with subsumes and the 4th can kinda buff weapons(depends on weapon and build) and crowd control
He's all about shooting and not caring about bout anything else. You bout to die? Press 2/4, keep pew pewing
People go all into iron skin with millions of over guard, but with around 8k base you are good, since it scales off of enemy damage.
@N0strapapas maybe I didn't explain myself correctly.
Rhino it's about moving and killing because his kit it's designed for that.
His survival skill only works standing if you are doing very low level missions or level cap, otherwise you have to move or it gets depleted without over guard gate. Still works but not ideal.
The ones that do fit would be inaros or atlas and maybe revenant, but he also has one of the best DPS abilities
the only issue is that outside of the punch atlas is kinda mid
9/10 Great video, just missing the recommendation for Vauban, the best frame for all situations /j
"The devs have not expressed interest in bringing them [raids[ back."
respectfully, false!
Small correction, DE actually has expressed a desire to bring back raids they just havent made any promises about it
Dante is also a great caster frame for Warlock players
I have 3k hours on both and just miss raids and dungeons too much so I'll just keep playing both
0:49 one correction: Warframe's Kuva & Tenet series both require you to farm the same weapon over and over again to get max stats
The difference is that you can actually change its stats to something you prefer by changing Warframes, and those extra copies you farmed can be merged into one copy for max stats, so you only really need to farm it twice - unless you want two copies with different elements
Love it!!!!
Alternate title for this video: Why You Will Be Disappointed in Destiny as a Warframe Player
I like destiny's art style a lot and the gameplay is greatly enjoyable, for me.
basically, I play warframe like people play destiny now i guess? i show for a new update and then i drop it after i grind any new primes that catch my eye or the new warframe. the only reason i get on besides that is to play when a friend asks me to.
hes right you know. Warframe is lovely
DE has been adding subtle raid like elements to the game DE maybe slowly working to adding raids
Only thing I'd push back on here is the Destiny devs are amazing and very passionate, it's Bungie that doesn't allow them to succeed or implement the things they know everyone wants.
so I don't play destiny because it's in 1st person, yes I'm boring
我也是如此 ┐('~`;)┌
absolutely fantastic recommendation, good sir.
4:41 I mean personally I’d like even more options too, like individual colours for each attachment too.
Showing Destiny players Ember’s heirloom skin should be enough to convince them to at least try out the game.
Im surprised you didnt mention Wisp for the recommendations for warlocks. She can easily carry any team, and fits in all team comps across the entire game. She is easily S-tier, and probably the most warlock you can get in WF lol
Also in regard to tennogen, its only paid with real money on PC.
16:00 Warlock players are gonna want Dante in my opinion. Hes literally a Wizard Warframe
Not every weapon has a static roll. Kuva, Tenet, and Infested Weapons (when they release) have random damage% and you have to farm more of them to boost that % to the cap.
Gauss Prime not mentioned,sad.
If you want anything and everything to die in a single button tap,use him. Also you can use him as a Titan(Kinetic Plating + Naramon School Path). Caster? Thermal Sunder with Zenurik). Ranged Weapons Platforms? can do to. He's your Swiss Army Knife in Warframe
I've never seen an ultra wide video before. Nice
