Love Warframe been playing it for almost 2 years
warframe is the clunkiest combat known to man, all you can do is melee!
Nintenno here, honestly the performance on the Switch isn’t that bad. Is it good? No. Should you play it on literally any other platform? Yes. But it’s still playable, and actually performs quite well when playing solo. It’s good as a secondary platform to play on the go, especially if you don’t have a Steam Deck. Heck, I play Warframe with Switch as my primary platform, and I’ve been playing for over 5 years, so they’re definitely doing something right
I was thinking more about how platinum doesn't cross over with the Switch for some reason, and supposedly you can't trade with non-Switch players. Nice to meet a Nintenno out in the wild though!
You can actually trade with other platforms once you enable cross platform save, but that only applies to everything other than plat. My guess is that there’s some weird stuff with DE’s contract with Nintendo that prevents plat being traded between switch and other platforms. Despite this, thanks to the new Switch trade chat DE added, combined with the many Discord servers to help find other Nintenno, prices for most items are actually not too bad when compared to other platforms. Only a select few items are really overpriced, like some really rare mods and select primes, but it’s not too bad in my experience. Oh and rivens. Don’t go buying Riven mods on switch.
Been playing both games and both have their pro's and con's. Destiny clears in terms of environment, story (at least DLC wise, not seasons), music, and can be more fun/engaging in challenging content and it actually has an endgame. Warframe however respects your time, has fun gameplay, more variety in terms of the playstyles you can do with much more freedom in what you take since you can make anything work. My only gripe with warframe is the fact that it feels almost too easy and its almost impossible to fail anything if you have some form of clue of what to do and it doesnt feel challenging at all, as well as not having memorable bosses. Destiny's bosses in raids and dungeons that dont get melted into oblivion in 3 seconds and that have unique encounters to them are also something warframe is lacking. Its fun though and ive been spending more time on it but both games while being similar, definitely aim to please different audiences and are unique in their own way. Both are great games that could improve on certain aspects forsure
just on the point of dickheads, the majority of them are hiding in riven markets in my experience. Altho I have a few just randomly be mean over my username "GodAmongstUs" (they assumed it was like... religious preaching? but it's a joke about there being a god gamer in the lobby, either me or whoever is doing better then me) Still, actual gameplay, even steel path and stuff, not really had anyone be mean over someone dying (Even if its me doing to dying) or like "no, you cant use that frame here!" (altho ive had a few comments of people curious as to why id take them, like limbo for spy is my go to, or ig was) But yeah, there is a lot of love in wf, and one thing that hasnt been mentioned 14min in but is actually huge (although you have hinted at it with the vaulting content points) is that you can take a break from warframe, like... months long, and just hop back in, the game doesnt penalize you for it, you miss some battlepass but you just end up with a bunch of content stacked up to enjoy more at once, or have more options, meanwhile destiny the seasonal content is gone, the guns cant be acquired, the shop rotates so you missed cosmetics for bright dust, and the raids and dungeons for pinnacle and challenges are on a rotating cycle so you might not be able to even do the thing you wanted. Again, just minor points as another person who has put over 1k hours into each game, and I do love both, but... warframe is always a nice time to go back to. Also as a long time warlock main (since start of d1) id recommend harrow, caster, yes, support and buffs? yes, sustain? yes, fits very well into the warlock who enjoyed well, likes supporting the team, and being able to sustain themselves and likes the big buffs on everyone (self included) imo harrow is a treat and a half
Wukong is mid, kulervo is kinda hard to farm
only people accusing you of glazing DE were D2 fanboys salty at seeing someone else lose interest in the game
imo i really think raids and having populated pvp are the only things destiny has over warframe
Cover garuda and how she has no lore and no prime trailer
I love this series as a retired destiny 2 player! Make more please. I love it.
There is one weapon you have to farm over & over again, but only a set amout or if you lucky u can get max on the first try. These being Kuva & tenet weapons from the litch system. Then you gotta put 5 forma on each ect. there the one real grind for a weapon. Nothing compaired to games like destiny or BL games. WF is pretty good aall around. Too many hours to admit lol.
"You can pause the game in solo mode." Wait, how long has that been in the game? Why have I not heard of this before?
Dante it's the incarnation of a warlock in warframe
Warframe is the reason why will never respect destiny, Warframe came out in 2013 and all destiny had to do was copy the homework and change it around to be their own.....
One of them is good, one of them is dog water and every intellectual knows which is which 🙂
😊😊😊
I think it's WILD that you have over a 1000 hours in both games, but you know people in both of these games will try to belittle you or undermine your opinions because they have over 3000. 😂
warframe never seems to give me that sense of challenge and accomplishment from clearing a room just because it was because you pressed a few buttons, I can clear a room in a GM solo quite quickly and I can look back and see my buildcrafting AND skill. If warframe actually drops some challenging content that makes me think I’ll log another few hundred hours but for now I have what I want and occasionally grind if something better comes up.
Hell no the cults someone
you can pay for tennogen items with plat only on consoles, and they stay on the console if you cross save. Also I think console players do not have the ability to buy all the tennogen skins
Played both Destiny and warframe loved destiny but ended up taking extended breaks. Played destiny one but quit before rise of iron. Played a bit of the Red War..but then bungie sunset it so i quite again. Came back a little bit, but now i don't play unless its with freinds Warframe...i take breaks, but i always come back. Had trouble starting but now i can have fun on my own. Keep coming back to grind (at time of typing trying to collect all the pets on Deimos)
now do destiny for warframe players
2:40 and it is worth to note that chief and most devoted Warframe players and streamers are - and always were, and always will be - Digital Extremes. By sheer coincidence, those are exactly the same people who make Warframe in the first place, so it has that flair of "Hey folks watch this cool shit we made. Want some?"
A lot of people have comments anything already, I am going to point one thing out that I feel amazing about. Two persons who do dev short which is basically very short stream from devs to every few weeks are Steve Sinclair (Digital Extreme's CEO) and Rebecca Ford (Creative Director) The concept of players being able to somewhat directly discuss with people who are such higher ups in company that frequently is so surprising to me
Quick correction, many warframe players (including myself) actually love PvP, just not in warframe. The game just is fundamentally incompatible with the idea of competitive PvP and is more of a chill game for me and many around me
For me it's a matter of preference, i just don't like warframe's art style and it's gameplay just kinda is ok. I like destiny's art style a lot and the gameplay is greatly enjoyable, for me. basically, I play warframe like people play destiny now i guess? i show for a new update and then i drop it after i grind any new primes that catch my eye or the new warframe. the only reason i get on besides that is to play when a friend asks me to.
Im surprised you didnt mention Wisp for the recommendations for warlocks. She can easily carry any team, and fits in all team comps across the entire game. She is easily S-tier, and probably the most warlock you can get in WF lol Also in regard to tennogen, its only paid with real money on PC. I mean technically buying plat just means converting real money to premium currency, but on PC you cant buy it with plat. BUT all proceeds go to the artist. On console, artists only get 70% which is still a lot considering many people on console still buy tennogen. Additionally, tennogen is platform locked. Simply put; xbox/ps share tennogen but cant be accessed if you go onto your PC/Switch/IOS and vise-versa so bear that in mind if youre thinking about doing cross-progression system
10:39 actually, you can buy tennogen skin with platinum in PS5, as there is no steamworkshop in playstation(of course). but if you buy tennogen skin in PS5, it's exclusive in PS platform. which means you can't use in pc or otherelse platform.
The closest thing to raids in Warframe would be the world bosses like Eidolons and Orb Mother battles.
Bro, while I agree with you on most quality of live-advantages WF has, that game becomes so boring to play after a while. I got 4500+ hours and can confidently say that game was not worth my time. Nowadays I feel it has become more diverse with content like circuit, but as long as enemies are just cardboard cutouts, I feel no sense of accomplishment, like I do when I clear anything remotely difficult in D2. And I really hate the sunk cost fallacy-problem with warframe. If you won't pay with money, you will pay with time. Getting the required platinum amount as a free to play takes ages, building new frames, weapons or even core consumables like formas takes hours or days. Sure, if you wanna try that game out, let nobody stop you. Warframe got good content now and quality of life is great, but be warned, if you get addicted quickly and tend to grind for longer than you should, you might find yourself wasting a lot of time like I did, suffering overly long grindes for stuff you will never use.
If you don't want to disappoint anyone. Always tell them it's "Diablo with guns" It's a vastly different game and experience from Destiny, and much closer to an ARPG. If someone told me to play Warframe as a Destiny player, and I did not play Warframe before, I would be angry. I was playing Warframe when Destiny 1 was released and actually enjoyed Destiny a lot more than Warframe. I quit Warframe for Destiny because Destiny was a much better experience, less monotonous, less boring. Warframe grinds suck, big time. I fall asleep playing Warframe all the time. ANd that is just with 30 minutes of play. Just take your time, it's a marathon, not a sprint, don't work too hard. And I will warn you. Learn to be comfortable with forma. Because you will hate the game real quick with that grind. And if repetition is a sadomasochistic kink of yours. This has it.
Don't know if anyone will see this and I'm a bit late to the party but if any destiny players want reassurance that their subclass IS in the game I got you covered: //////TITANS Sentinel >Frost's snowglobe is ward of dawn but arguably better >Styanax is protection, rally, and shield based Striker >Atlas has a punch that grows stronger as you spam it >Baruuk has a damage-resistant melee ultimate >Kullervo has a teleporting heavy attack, which can feel pretty similar to thundercrash Sunbreaker >Ember is surprisingly durable and inferno's meteor mirrors a falling hammer >Rhino has a high amount of durability for those that like loreley splendor Berserker >Valkyr is a perfect mirror to a strand berserker in almost every way; I don't really have anyone else to recommend Behemoth >Frost for freezing things and being tanky >Atlas for punching and creating structures //////HUNTERS Nightstalker >Ivara for invisibility, bows, and utility >Ash for assassination fantasies Arcstrider >Wukong's staff and dedicated block ability is a very good mirror of arcstaff >Ash's teleport and bladestorm better mimics storm's edge Gunslinger >Mesa for rapid fire golden gun >Cyte-09's exalted sniper for nighthawk >Garuda's ultimate sends a barrage of bleeding blades Thread runner >Khora has a whip and can suspend enemies >Valkyr has a mobility grapple hook Revenant >Ash throws actual shurikens >Zephyr summons tornadoes that incapacitate enemies //////WARLOCKS Voidwalker >Garuda and sevagoth have health regen effects to mimic devour >Ember's meteor, garuda's bloodball, and nova's antinatter drop can mirror a novabomb Storm caller >Volt has aoe lightning abilities >Wisp and qorvex have beams of death like chaos reach Dawnblade >Excalibur wields a blade that shoots projectiles >Trinity and oberon have potent squad heal effects Broodweaver >Nekros revives dead enemies for a summon playstyle >Dante can summon birds, a shooting tome, and can provide protection for your team - like wovenmail Shadebinder >Frost, again for the freezing capabilities >Protea has a deployable turret >Banshee's sound-quake is like an on demand shatter
Bro said you'll like caster frames and entirely missed out on Dante...
the only stuff you can't get is Excalibur Prime and a few guns/melee...
6:50 one of my converts from destiny (friend of brother) was surprised when a random got joined to us, and i didn't realize how unusual that was until you mentioned it XD
"No raid or dungeon" What DO you do then?
To me, the hardest selling point to new players or players coming from other games, is just how dense Warframe is with content and mechanics. It can be super overwhelming at first and drive players away. My advice on that is just take things slowly, take your time to learn things, set your own goals for what you want to work on, and unless you're struggling in some form of content, don't worry about min/maxing. There's no true "endgame" in Warframe, just something else to work towards, so there's no rush to "get caught up". Warframe is like the ocean. Sure you can go exploring far out to sea, go deep sea fishing, or dive beneath the waters to see what the depths hold. But you can also spend all your time just on the beach, enjoying the sun and maybe dipping your toes in the shallows, having fun and never worrying about what lies beneath the waves.
I love warframe more than destiny, but I gotta admit destiny has some better emotes.
You've officially been accepted to the "Big Dick" club, gentlemen. Congratulations 💯
16:00 Warlock players are gonna want Dante in my opinion. Hes literally a Wizard Warframe
And it also weigh only 40gb :D
when my friends invited me to play destiny, i asked "do they have melee? becoz i want to spin with my greatsword" 🤣
Also Warframe is on every system, even mobile. You're account is the same across all and it's all crossplay. I do think they're still in testing for Android though.
Destiny’s gameplay is a thousand times more polished. The gunplay, your skills, and everything fell way better. Warframes only appeal is that it’s f2p. The movement is such a gimmick that wears off after awhile. After 10 years I can say Destiny’s movement is way fun and polished. Each class has a unique jump and different ways to fine tune them to your preference. And on warlock you have blink jump as an option which is the coolest one out of all of them as the skill ceiling for it is very high, and satisfying/rewarding to master. Lastly, if you played since Destiny 1, the story and lore is incredible. So much so that many people have made full careers just flushing it out and making it easier for others to digest. I get this is a video to help Destiny players who are interested in warframe, but we really can’t compare. Destiny is way better game in different class. Warframe is good for what it is, but it’s not close to what Destiny offers in terms of quality.
Great video! I like warframe because it respects the player and doesn't reach into your pocket. You even get platinum discounts up to 75%
Dude you really showcased everything that's great about Warframe.
Should we tell them about the forma grind?
@@fulgerion Crack relics, sell prime parts, buy forma. Could not be easier. Plus you get forma BP from fissures too. ABCF: Always Be Crafting Forma.
No wisp for warlocks? Actually crying rnnnnnn. In all seriousness, amazing summary here. Been playing Warframe since late 2018 and played destiny 2 around the latter half of season of the seraph, up until final shape. Warframe is still my homeland and I’m glad to see the D2 migration happening.
I wouldn’t say Warframe isn’t fun to watch, the people who are watching are the vets/core fan base. We love seeing new people play. But yeah, been playing both Destiny and Warframe since they released. I’m still playing Warframe all the time. Played Destiny less snd less after LF, then FS dropped and I quit lmao. And it’s simple. DE has done everything to earn my trust and support, whereas Bungie has done everything to erode my trust and make me never want to support them again. And dont get me wrong, I do love Destiny still, but I refuse to play and support Bungie in my free time. If I’m not spending time with my wife, or playing my instruments, I’m on Warframe. I have a much better time. Even my wife plays with me sometimes. Also, as a musician, I appreciate that Warframe allows you to make music and play instruments. DE wears their passion and love for the game and community on their sleeves. It just makes you want to play. It’s a completely trust based and symbiotic relationship. Plus the community it extremely helpful. At least the core plahers and vets. You see some idiots new comers here and there, but not very often. Everyone is there just to have fun, be OP af, and look cool AF lol There’s always something willing to show you the ropes and answer all your questions. Also, Dojo’s are waaay better than the Destiny clan system.
The great exodus has begun Il bring out the gift-baskets and the bubbly
@3:30 regarding buying slots: you get one warframe and 4 weapon slots from each battlepass rotation, so you only need to buy very few if you are patient. login rewards are 4 weapon slots from day 1050 days (yes about 3 yrs of constant login) onward every 150 days (yes about 5 months).
