I know this might seem weird but this was quite soothing even to me. I’m an older woman and all of my children are fully grown and on their own now. All of them and the grandchildren are a few hours away now. The sounds of cooking, movement in the kitchen, and a show playing on the television 📺, took me back to the days of when my children were young, doing their homework close by the kitchen in case they had questions, and just being near each other. Thank you, Tiger Mom/Eddy. 😇🫶🏽 This was quite lovely & delightful. Sending warm hugs filled with joy, hope, smiles, encouragement, and a mother’s love. 🫂💕💯🥰

@itsyeet1247 Aww 🥺💔, my dear Sweet Peach 🍑🧡🫂. I'm so sorry to hear that things are difficult and challenging for you and your mother to communicate. I'm not sure of your age, especially since many underage youth have unlimited access to the Internet now. Having said that, I will try to choose my words very wisely. This life is filled with choices that we all must make. Some will be good while others are not so good. When others make us feel terrible, we are presented with the opportunity to "respond" rather than "react." For many years, I did not have a healthy relationship with my mother, who is now nearly 80. The very sound of her voice used to make me nauseous and want to just cry in defeat. Now, I choose to love, honor, cherish, and respect her no matter how she makes me feel. Almost 2 years ago, we were having a conversation, and she hurt my feelings like she "used to." Instead of giving her the usual emotional response where my heart starts beating so loud that I can barely hear anything around me and used to feel quite dizzy. This time, I did something different. I stopped talking and just focused on my own breathing. I collected all of my thoughts, and once I felt like I was able to speak to her in a calm, respectful, and sincere manner, I let the tears quietly stroll down my cheeks as I explained to her in detail how much she has hurt me over the years, and yet I've chosen to love her with my whole heart. Then, in a calm, quiet voice, I let her know that if things do not change for the better between us, then I may need to limit my visits. My heart just could not suffer a other blow, especially after 50+ years of being very passive and submissive to her. I have 4 adult children and 3 grandchildren of my own for crying out loud. 😳🙄😒😑😩 Change was necessary. ⚖️⛓️💥💯 And you know what, my dear Sweet Peach, my mother has been incredibly civil since that moment and most of the time she is kind towards me. I'm still getting used to it, but it is nice. ☺️ The choice is yours, my dear. Choose to love your mother no matter what you think the outcome may be. At least, you will have peace in your heart at night when you sleep, knowing that you made the conscious decision to love her rather than avoid her. Most people don't know how to respond to love. Search the definitions of "respond" and "react." In my opinion, to respond to someone or a situation takes a bit of thought and then speak and/or take action with the probable consequences in mind. To react to something or someone is more instant with little to no thought of the consequences. Sometimes regret follows a reaction, especially when another person is involved and words are spoken too quickly with little to no regard to the other person's feelings at all. I hope this lengthy explanation will help you somehow with your mother and throughout your life. I pray that you'll find true happiness and receive real love, peace, joy, prosperity, grace, strength, and blessings all the days of your life. Sending warm hugs filled with faith, hope, encouragement, and strength. 🫂🕊🫶🏽💯🥰 Note: I call my youngest daughter Sweet Pea 🫛💚 because it reminds me to think before I speak to her. It helps me to try and choose words that won't destroy her spirit or bruise her tender heart while still sharing the truth. Although she's 24 now, she will always be my sweet baby girl, but I do respect her space and boundaries as a grown woman. Take care, my dear Sweet Peach. 🍑🧡🫂

I didn’t have this kind of support growing up and this video makes me feel very loved and cared for. Today you helped me write a cover letter for a job I want badly so I can move out of my depression nest and hopefully someday foster a cat. Thank you :)
LOVE this!! My mum never cooks with wet hair though lol. Her teaching has always been “dry your hair immediately or you’ll suffer from headaches when you get older”. She blow-dries her hair first, and then wears a thick shower cap to make sure it doesn’t smell afterwards. There is also the occasional yelling on the phone telling other aunties that she’s busy cooking. The TV will only be turned on when we are ready to eat. But the “When are you going to help?!”, immediately followed by “Too late”, is THE SAME!
i am glad you are bringing this type of video back! i literally listen to the 4 hours of asian mum every time i have an exam or a deadline - with that said, i had to thank you for my degree!

I used to live in the northern part of the U.S. but decided to move south and in with my boyfriend. I’m not Asian, but Italian. And sitting in the dining room doing activities like studying or even just personal work while your parental figure is right across from you in the kitchen making you a meal…It gives me a feeling of home that I haven’t felt in the five months I’ve been in the south. Thanks Asian Mom. My depression has been cured for today.
This is an atmosphere that only we asians understand. I always remember that when I am studying or doing work, I can always look forward to dinner/lunch after, and that keeps me going. I guess in this culture where “communal” is a huge thing, there is something so soothing when hearing the sounds of chinese cooking, its somehow that feeling of presence and not being alone in times of stress, you just need to hear that there is movement and action in the house to feel like you arn’t alone. This is so helpful when I am alone studying and need emotional support…
I feel you. Its just the same thought as mine. Feels like home, hearing somebody there doing the own thing, but still kind of emotional supporting just by presence.

Lots of countries don’t have holiday during august. And not even summer during august. For example I live in Australia (as dm two set I believe) and it’s the one of the most stressful times of the year for me.
@misukoshinonome It's currently monsoon season here, common for the South Asian countries and our schools have a break only in May and June, which are summers. Yes finally another one! I've just got accepted to music conservatoire to study violin performance so I've got to get to my 40 hours. Tysm twoset I never would have got to this point without you ♥️
The Homework Check Up Lookback and slow, silent head shake was the maraschino cherry on the sundae that I needed after a breakup. I was busting out laughing at how funny it was but it was the perfect amount of humor that reminded me of home. Thank you. I need this and much more.
This brings memories back of my german grandma! Not also asian mums do this! Sie cooked for me until I finished my studies..never forgotten! I hope I can do this for my children in the future…this is love!
Honestly, this isn't really my childhood experience, but I still find this immensely comforting. My parents cooked, but my mom would get the soup and rice on and the prep for dinner would be done before before I got home or I'd be doing homework in my bedroom. And my dad would stirfry when he got home. But the dishes look like a typical amount and type that would be in my home. It's so funny how even though it's Eddie with a towel on his head, the whole vibe is so accurate.
I sped it up and it was genuinely so comforting.. it's actually how a mom would check up on her kid. Needless to say, I WILL be watching this in full tomorrow while practising after watching the other 4 hour tiger mom one
Heck YEAH!!! I can't believe I missed it for a whole month but I am so glad to see this! Thank you so much for doing these. I need them. I have no asian mom to help me do anything.

Words cannot express how much I love these asian mum videos. Hence the edits on this comment. 2SV, you're the best, please never stop making content. Also, please make a DVD of asian mum videos. I would seriously buy it!
When I was in my middle school - unbelivably it was about 10 years ago - sometimes I couldn't focus after I came back from school in the evening; I'd then move downstairs to the dining table to study, with my mom cooking in the kitchen behind the glass sliding door. She always prepares different snacks for me and hands me pieces of food from the kitchen from time to time, or adorably shows me her new food experiments. Now being in uni, I just spend most of my time studying alone in my small apartment. Gosh I miss those school days and our old house in Shanghai so badly 😢
Eddy, please display these videos in Art Basel or the Venice Biennale. This is nothing short of performace art! This is so comforting. It also is such a stark reminder of how neglected I was by my mother. Tiger Mom Eddie is the best❤
I started studying at 7 PM, I started playing this video at 10.33 PM and this video ended at 11.23 PM even though I still study. Thank you for this heartwarming video to helps me focused even though she worries a lot.
I actually teared up ... Ive been away from home (because of college and plane tickets are expensive) for almost 2 years now. and I missed this so much. thank you! I was typing this and strted sobbing to the sounds of scrambling an egg.
I used to be the practicer too, but I'm the mom now, and I'm here to say it's awesome on this side! Hang in there! Someday you too will be done with all your exams and you will be eyeing your kid around the corner while you cook to make sure they are studying and not scrolling "Latest Video" app. 😂
This, but also, being born in Sydney, I never thought I'd be an 'Asian mum' but somehow my kids thought it was just expected that they would finish 8th grade on their instruments (& one has an A.Mus.A). I did encourage practice but mostly, they did it on their own and I just feel immense pride in their achievements.
Awesome! You remind me of my mom, who works tirelessly at the office and comes very late, like around 9:00 pm or something. Even then she cooks something delicious for me and my elder sister, and inspires us a lot by her talks. We all talk a lot, and she never makes us feel lonely.. Now, even when my mom is at the office, i can remind myself that she is still there in the kitchen while keeping her eyes on us.. It seems quite realistic, especially because of those sounds of the tv and the dishes, hehe :p
i remember saving this is watch later yep, i know why also this is so amazing break is ending and i have school tmr, i needed this thank u sm!!! dude im gonna cry i kinda dont know what im gonna do when i grow up and im gonna miss my mom

I don't think there's any way to overstate how this video is going to help so many of your viewers. Wonderful idea wonderfully executed! I'm going to have it in the background on nights I want to do work and need some sounds
For me it was my grand uncle. His first question when I came back home from classes was what I was going to have for dinner. He loved cooking and was very good at it. He passed away las summer, and I still miss the sound of his voice over the phone, the sound of his footsteps in the hallway, and the sound of him playing the piano. Even now I can't really listen to classical music that much because it reminds me so much about him.

I can't lock in when my own mom is cooking but I somehow become an absolute calculus machine with this video
Unironically the best white noise I've ever found
This is like an Asian version of the holiday Yule log video. So comforting!!!
holiday yule log? that's awesome!
Thank you so muchhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!🥰🎉for me its relaxation + getting things done
This is so heartwarming for me who lives alone. The video makes me feel that my Asian mom is always around.
I sped it up and it was genuinely so comforting.. it's actually how a mom would check up on her kid. Needless to say, I WILL be watching this in full tomorrow while practising after watching the other 4 hour tiger mom one
This is one of your best, most tender, kind, and wonderful posts. Thank you so much Two Set 🥲
Heck YEAH!!! I can't believe I missed it for a whole month but I am so glad to see this! Thank you so much for doing these. I need them. I have no asian mom to help me do anything.
You guys are really wonderful in your variety! From funny to musical to playful to games to long ones like this that had been a blessing to many people following your channel. Thank you, Eddy and Brett.
Secret flat/kitchen reveal! Thank you for bringing us joy and comfort through your videos.
Mum TIGER is back!! ❤❤
I get that this might sound strange, but this brings back so many memories!
I enjoy longer video formats like this and the Mahler. TwoSetASMR
The Mahler video was such a cool idea, loved it.
Then check the longest one: '4 Hours of Asian Mum to Help You Focus on Practising/Studying/Working'
Other: 'Sight reading All Paganini Caprices (Part 1)'
'Sight Reading all Paganini caprices (part 2')
ı can smell the video and my eyes are burned because of the onions thats is the best video for studying.
I could feel the energy coming from the kitchen. The kind of power that will beat me up if I miss a note in Prokofiev's Sinfonia Concertante. Thanks Asian Mom ❤🙏
I found this really relaxing to watch/listen to. I just had it on while I slowly turned my brain of for the day and letting go of everything I need to do and remember so I can fall asleep easier.
I TRIED STUDY WITH ME VIDEOS BUT NONE OF THEM HELPED ME BUT YOUR VIDEO IS 10000000000000 TIMES AMAZING WHENEVER I TRY TO DO HISTORY I ALWAYS DO IT WITH YOUR VIDEO SO CREATIVE!
I WILL WAIT NEW VIDEOS TO FOCUS ✨
This is so wholesome and precious 🥲
Words cannot express how much I love these asian mum videos. Hence the edits on this comment. 2SV, you're the best, please never stop making content. Also, please make a DVD of asian mum videos. I would seriously buy it!
Same here, but who buys DVDs these days.
Wow, you couldn't have picked a better time to drop this, thank you!💓
When I was in my middle school - unbelivably it was about 10 years ago - sometimes I couldn't focus after I came back from school in the evening; I'd then move downstairs to the dining table to study, with my mom cooking in the kitchen behind the glass sliding door.
I didn’t know I needed this, but the universe served it up to me on a plate from Asian Mum.
i am not kidding you, i can SMELL the food cooking. I AM NOT JOKING
Me too 😳
I didn't think Asian Mum would make a comeback😭😭I'm so happy
My new school year just started, this really helps me lock in and study and practice for 40 hours a day!
Thank you guys. I’m used to listening to my mom cook but I recently moved to my own place and it’s eerily quiet. This helps focus a lot
I started studying at 7 PM, I started playing this video at 10.33 PM and this video ended at 11.23 PM even though I still study. Thank you for this heartwarming video to helps me focused even though she worries a lot.
i needed this
Very relaxing!
I actually teared up ... Ive been away from home (because of college and plane tickets are expensive) for almost 2 years now. and I missed this so much. thank you!
I was typing this and strted sobbing to the sounds of scrambling an egg.
You're doing such a good job. I'm proud of youu❤.Keep goingg!
I didn't know I needed this but it was therapeutic
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE for the sake of all students across the globe post more of this 🙏
I used to be the practicer too, but I'm the mom now, and I'm here to say it's awesome on this side!
You can be both🤔oldest, 28, youngest, 16, currently practicing Bach Partitas 1 and 2, voice. Learning recorder.
This is healing for so many. Thank you.

Please do more of these, it helps so much with my ADHD 🥹🙏
@Esmay-mg8ml4fn2k A lot of people with or without ADHD need noise in the background including me. What also helps is meditation to quiet the brain.
thank you so much it actually helped me
I'm a composer getting started on a new commission, and this video gave me just what I needed to sit down and get the creative juices flowing. Thanks for this!
very comforting ngl
I was not expecting asian mum today. Perfect timing to force me to do my uni work:)) You're a legend Eddy!!!
TWOSET FINALLY POSTED THIS AGAIN!!!
I really needed this for studying, I'm so happy now :)
I don't think there's any way to overstate how this video is going to help so many of your viewers. Wonderful idea wonderfully executed! I'm going to have it in the background on nights I want to do work and need some sounds
I need to learn how to wrap that towel
Thanks Twoset for helping me focus on making my videos :)
That's so perfect. Love the fact, that the Video is inviting to do a break at around 45 min of study xD
During my 15 hours studying today, I will be playing this video again and again.
I love this turn your channel has taken. I love it. WHOLE BODY, I love it.
