I've had the great fortune of playing arelist in bracket and from what i know from talking to him is that he bases how he plays against someone on the rhythm of the match. And by rhythm he means it sometimes remembering certain songs and putting them on a player, so when he does the conducter thing while picking the stage he's probably trying to set a BPM.
