I once got put in jail here in Texas, for the night because I didn't have my license on me and was stopped in a DWI roadblock on the way home from college. I forgot my wallet that morning.
You must had a dwui or something. That’s why you should memorize your dl number and personal information. They can pull it up and your picture will appear on their computer.
I remember getting stopped for the first time without a license it was around 11:47 pm and it was for speeding 54 in a 35 i was 16 at the time the cop was mad pissed but in the end he let me off with a warning
....or have that $2k ready. A fine is just the cost of doing business as an outlaw. That's what I've learned from corporations.
Disappearing the dmv will be a much better solution
Right. That way any idiot can drive. You should bring that up to your state legislator.
Especially 80,000 lb commercial vehicle,
@@johnwgibson24 the dmv doesn’t stop idiots from driving it just set standards to anyone that wants to be in the systems and most importantly profit from driving privileges
"Up to 2000.."
You know damn well they gone charge the whole thang, aint no "up to."
We’ll I’m trying to get my license renewed, but the idiots that run the state wanted to make it to where we are on the road without a license by closing half the DPS offices and making us schedule for an appointment to see them TWO MONTHS in advance. I’m going to have to drive over an hour, one way, to get mine renewed. Until then I’ll just hope I don’t get pulled over for a dirty license plate.
How can I get an occupational license ASAP in Texas?
What if you were caught for driving with no driver license in ga . Will something happen at court
Hi i have cdl class A commercial permit but when i go to dmv for my road test then they told me show me your passport but i have not my passport is lost
Any mere solutions someone have suggest me please
Does this only applied for the state of texas or any state
it just depends where you are.
Im turning mine in. The license department is just one frontline in the attack on liberty.
Iam not driving iam travaling

The Supreme Court has ruled that you do not need to possess a driver's license anywhere in the US to be driving on a public Road and that's the law!
No….no they haven’t. Read Thomson V smith ^^;
I don't have my driving license. I do without a driving license. Caught while driving. Will there be any problem in getting my driving license?
No contract
What about Florida?
F them Ls🤣🤣🤣
No it won’t
You do not need to have a driver's license if you are not driving for employment.
Look it up people ! Search... The Right to drive
You might want to spend a little more time reading the actual law requiring a driver's licence and reading the court cases for yourself rather than relying on the "research" you found on various websites and RUclips videos telling you they supposedly support that claim. You will find that most have absolutely nothing to do with driver's licence laws and the few that do did not rule such laws to be unconstitutional.
what about a 3rd time, youre basically saying we can just keep getting caught without punishment
Theres something called travelling
What happens after 7 or 8 times
Capital punishment
Nothing
No i got no licenses and i never will nobody gonna pull me over and its simply because i dont drive dang 🤪😳🤬😱😤😭🤣
How much is class z misdemeanor
If you got caught would it delay when you could get it?
No delay
Supreme Court has already reeled you don't need a driver's license you don't need license plates or insurance.
Actually no they haven't.
@@SCP_Brightactually yes they have.
@@YoshiXO except they haven't 😂
Please cite the exact case where this ruling was made.
Thomson v smith @scp_bright they actually did
What if you drive with a expired license?🤔
Google the answer
That jiggle tho
Or what about you do have one but forgot your wallet at home and you get pulled over but you know your ID number?
I personally dont have a drivers license but write down the ID number, your name, etc and keep it in the glove box or center console the cops can pull your License up on their computers
A risk I’m willing to take
I’m an American the constitution states I can drive on these roads without a license unless it’s for commerce hence me being 30 with no license in bexar county been pulled over many many many times and always went home with my car (and some tickets that they end up dropping) but I will be getting a license soon so I can get that commerce money.
The constituation.dpeqent.say that lmfao.
What happens the 3rd time ?
Class A 6 months
Then Texas law violates our constitutional rights.. no drivers license is required in the US as outlined in the constitution. He is wrong from the start
Nowhere in the constitution does it say you have a right to drive.
@SCP_B right! you are correct! But we have the right to travel. Driving is defined as for commerce. Travel is not. Might want to sharpen up there doc. 👍
@@djhaz243 travel doesn't mean driving and no driving isn't exclusive for commerco 😂 you might want to learn the law before you end up in a jail cell
@@SCP_Bright likewise. How would that land one in jail? Nothing malicious. It's a fine and points like anything else
@@djhaz243
"Sec. 521.021. LICENSE REQUIRED. A person, other than a person expressly exempted under this chapter, *may not operate a motor vehicle on a highway in this state unless the person holds a driver's license* issued under this chapter."
TEXAS TRANSPORTATION CODE, TITLE 7, SUBTITLE B, CHAPTER 521, SUBCHAPTER A.
And just in case you try the usual sovcit tactic of trying to redefine "motor vehicle":
"(11) "Motor vehicle" means a self-propelled vehicle or a vehicle that is propelled by electric power from overhead trolley wires. The term does not include an electric bicycle or an electric personal assistive mobility device, as defined by Section 551.201."
TEXAS TRANSPORTATION CODE, TITLE 7, SUBTITLE C, CHAPTER 541, SUBCHAPTER C.
If you think this law is unconstitutional, please prove this by citing the exact part of the USA Constitution which states that it is illegal for a state to require a diver's license to operate a vehicle outside commerce. Merely stating that the Constitution doesn't give a state permission to make such a law is not proof (it's an illogical Argument from Silence fallacy). You're also welcome to explain why no court has ruled that law unconstitutional.
Wrong with Texas being still part of the United States the us constitution states that all us citizens have the right to travel with out fear of persecution from state and federal entity's
Lol you still need a license. Many have tried and failed this argument.
Every amendment has a caveat. I can't simply hop into the cockpit of a fighter jet like in GTA5 & radio in what you said while they're trying to shoot me down, lol.
The legalese definition of a DRIVER is a PERSON that uses the PUBLIC roads for profit/commerce.
If you are accusing me of something, it YOUR obligation to prove that I was using the public roads for profit/commerce.
#TAO OF LAW/EDDIE CRAIG
@Nemesistyx for those enough who sub to Legal Eagle, we all know the real answer is, "It depends." 😉
In California there’s no classes to misdemeanors every and any type of misdemeanor carries up to a year in jail.
So if you’re caught driving without a license is about a $1,200 fine AND probation for your first offense. Second offense 6 months in jail and so on.
The crazy thing is there’s no uniform policy so while one county may prosecute it as a misdemeanor another May do it as an infraction. I know sadly from first hand experience.
not true, you just get a ticket.
Sounds similar to my country Denmark
Where 3 time is confiscating of the car
What happens if an illegal immigrants driving in Texas and get pulled over?
It's the same thing sadly... just have to pray to God you don't get pulled over again.
Except if you're driving without a licence youre also driving without insurance which is up to $1000 fine, impounded vehicle, up to 2 year suspension (of the licence you dont even have) and increased insurance prices when you do get your licence...
What if the vehicle doesn’t belong to you and they also don’t have insurance
Why do you even need a license
You don't unless your an immigrant
@Cha' Lee Chan like people really asking this shit rn 💀
You do not need a driver's license, if you are not using your car for commerce
Yes you do lol, driving is a privilege and can be taken away from you. You need to let people know that you know how to drive a car by taking a driving test💀💀
@@classicgaming9765bro there’s people who’ve passed the test and drive worse lmao
It is ridiculous that you need a license
Not really lol, driving is a privilege and can be taken away from you. You need to let people know that you know how to drive a car by taking a driving test💀💀
@classicgaming9765 Voters wield the power of bombs and tanks, far more power than a car. Voters should have to pass tests and pay for licenses to vote.
@@KateHikes1933 that’s called a poll tax and was used in its entirety so black people couldnt vote in the US
@@MochaFen Voting is far more dangerous than driving a car. Cars can kill a few people in an accident, but votes can send death to millions of people. That should be far more carefully administered.
Don't need a license unless you are commiting commerce
Spot the retard - its you!
SovCit bullshit.
That is completely wrong. In order to operate on public roads you need a driver's license, driving is a privilege.
@@justanotheraviator2357 no it isn't the lawyers are driver's licenses for committing commerce in commerce only not everybody is intelligent enough to look at the laws I am maybe you're not learn
@Be-Low-Me Piggies I'm a commercial driver anyway so whatever.
