I got the problem when i upgrade my os from high sierra to MOJAVE. I use these tutorial for fixing my mac. The sound does not come out but the firs boot have a sound, and also volume up-down button does not work.

The first tip worked - shut my mac off - hold down the buttons. Turned it on again. Boom. Thanks bro!

Push (Shift) (control) (alt/option) (power) all at the same time starting with shift and walllahhhh. I have read everything and did every trick in the book wasted tons of time read this and do it and save yourself the time I wasted for you.

guys this the NVRAM thing workssss, but you have to do it properly I did it a few times with no luck but you have to make sure
1. you press the power button first then (option, command, P and R)
2. you HAVE to hold it for 20 seconds, count in your head, even if its made 2 sounds already make sure its 20 seconds you hold it and then let go and let it turn on itself.
Ive had this problem since yesterday and finally it worked when I did it properly (shout out to the apple support guy Ralph who helped me :D)

Hi i was listening in some music when a buzzing suddenly happened i thought it was bc of my earphones but when I unplugged it my mac has no sounds. after a few hours sound came back and lost again. I don’t know what to do? i have important online classes and exams coming up.
Try with your bluetooth earphones. For fixing this issue, you can install voodoo kext audio on your mac. You can search tutorial how to install voodoo audio kext on mac.

Thank you ROY, I have done 1) NVRAM, 2) restart+D key 3) Shift+control+alt+power 4) control R. 5) repair hard disc in safe mode 6) re-installing High Sierra 7) changing the hard disc from APPS to Macintosh extended version 8) Creating new user… and still no sound in my computer
There are only three folders in my audio folder, Midi Drivers (since i just installed it because of your video) Plug-ins folder, completely empty and Sounds folder empty too.
No sound yet, any alternatives?

i connected my bluetooth device and without turning it off, I went to shutdown my computer and after i on it back, it worked, you all can try it and tell me if it works. The cmnd , options, p , r also worked for me after trying for 4 hours, for me, i actually had to hold it with my power button without letting go so you can try that too

Its not a hardware. But if you test with your earphone, your mac have sound? I recommended to you to check your audio files like my video on the last minutes. Because i try with the methode its working.

Hello! How will I know if I should stop pressing cmd+option+p+r+power button? I tried pressing it for a minute and nothing happens.
Nothing show when you press it, only flash for a sec. I recommend you to delete audio files on library

I’ve tried almost all of the options so far and none have worked, and when I search for the audio MIDI Setup, I have no devices found. I’m tried the NVRAM multiple times with no luck
You can download Voodoo audio kext, then install on your mac. You can search tutorial install voodoo audio on mac. Hope it works on ur mac.

I erased my disk on disk utility. But before you erasing, please backup your file first on time machine.
