Other than sleeping on the ground, it looked like a beautiful trip - even the unplanned swim. Glad everything turned out ok.

It's not so bad with the right pad lol. I'm sleeping in a hammock tonight..

@@projectknifehand for me, it's the getting up and down. I've got a good 3" thermarest pad that's comfy. I use it for when I need to tent and when I sleep in my Jeep. I also use it instead of a under quilt for my hammock sometimes.

I do alot of this stuff alone. lived here for 37 years...I was from MA. born and raised. You were speaking of anxiety. Itis just your realization of the nature. When that dials into time. You have used it to get ahead.
I did not know what keeps me going at stuff alone, but for peace and quiet.. DNA found I was half acadian and part mik maq. 1% of me has been roaming here for 7000 years.
A tip: best bet for fish is look for lakes with at least two rivers, one in and one out.. mtn brooks are the last chance for rainbows and brookies as well... very small, but there is keepers once and awhile. high oxygen ice cold water and fast moving trout..you can imagine how good that tastes.
don'tt fish the bottom of still waters here..too much nitrogen.
    I enjoy your videos.

I suppose that is a good way of explaining the feeling! I am glad someone like yourself, who has been here for years, enjoys my videos. I have tried explaining that anxiety to others in a similar fashion, but realization is a good way to put it. You realize she is the boss, and you are a pebble in the pond

There were so many things I thoroughly enjoyed in this video but just to mention a few were your drone footage at your last camp on the beach. What an outstanding place to sleep. I would have trouble leaving that spot. Looks like you ate like a king. Good for you. Your photo of Katodin was beautiful. Good job guys and thanks for sharing

Thanks for saying that! Yeah it was a good time! That spot you mentioned was awesome to have at the end of the day I had.

I did this paddle/trip alone last July 2023. Bugs were horrific . all of the portages were hard, but 3rd debs to 2nd was the most interesting ! up and down, twisting and turning, downed trees and narrow trail ! But all worth it!!! 1st debs sandy beaches was my last campsite . looks like you guys found some sites on the west branch . I didn't dump it on the west branch, but I came close, I missed a portage and had to run some swift water . it's no joke out there, I had anxiety for sure! and I had watched Justin and Craig's videos to prep myself , I learned a lot , invaluable information , I am indebted to them and now you for sharing , thank you brother! I recently moved up to northern maine so I won't have to drive so far to do these types of endeavors! peace bro and here's to 2024 season!!!

Thank you very much for that! Yeah I was happy to come across them as well when I did. Lucky enough to start meeting folks I used to watch their videos to learn! It is no joke out there. So many ways to get into trouble! Lol. I'm glad you enjoyed the video. Doing these trips is a lot of work. Filming them even more so. I lost some good footage but still happy with what I was able to create!

Totally enjoying this adventure! Your camerawork and narration are both next level. Lighting is always great, scene cutaways are smooth and perfectly sequenced. Very professional feel-nice job!

That is so nice to read! Considering I have tried pretty hard to improve my videos. I can still do better but they are light years ahead of my first ones! Thanks for watching and for the kind words!

I fished a lot more than I showed. But truth be told after I capsized that canoe it shook my confidence in fishing from it. But I've got it back and got some different canoes that better suit my ability
