The spark plug sits at the top of the piston, sometimes if not properly tightened when installing them oil can get in there and cause that plug to misfire or not burn all of the gas and that leads to loss of power… I’m glad you got it figured it out and I love the videos.., I hope you have a very Prosperous and Happy New Year my friend
Melo, the new Quick Trip Gas station off Hwy 181 should have the Ethanol free gas. Their other stores have it. I've been using Ethanol free my last 2 boats. Worth the $ but occasionally can't find it outside of town. I hardly ever fill up the gas tank 100% so I use a 14 gal wheeled fuel tank w/pump and keep it in the boat storage with Ethanol free gas. Some of their stores are very hard to get in and out of with a big boat trailer. BTW, my boat storage is adequately vented, but doesn't have electricity for the onboard trolling motor charger, but that is another story. I'm super excited now that they have that Quick Trip gas station out there! Glad you guys figured it out. I gotta get out there for some cats soon.
I just read your reply to John. Sorry to hear. BTW, my mouth dropped open when I heard the MM turnaround of 1 1/2 weeks. OMG... 2 months exactly for me the only time that I used them.
Melo, my Mercury 150 doing the same thing. New plugs made it better for a while but then deteriorated again. Ended up being one of the coil packs. It had less than 120 hours on it. I was surprised one could go bad so quickly.

Thank You! Turns out there was other issues I just found out after that video. I’ve got water mixing with the oil so now I gotta figure that out
There is no way oil can get in there if it's not properly tightened.
Sweet!!!!👍👍👍👍 glad you found the problem.
I fixed mine, unbolted it and fitted a Mercury Pro XS 150... BEST DECISION I ever made in regards to boating...
