With all due respect to the great Jim Lamply first of all, everyone was larger than tyson. Second of all his style was highly technical due to the fact that it was tailor made for him from the footwork to the 6 punch combinations. Those were not random punches and a lead off with the jab.

Cruz is pretty much the definition of a Pressure Fighter as Jim said. His defense is excellent and all he needs is catch you one time to nullify your boxing skills. Cruz vs Teo or Garcia would be a crowd pleasing banger.

I totally agree with Jim. Every word. For me, yes, he’ll beat Ryan. Teo would be an interesting match up. I couldn’t say who’d win but it’s going to be a hell of a fight. Haney would probably outbox him and win by decision but he’d have to make sure to keep his distance and tie Cruz up at times. However, if he gets caught, it could be a different outcome. But I don’t see any of these guys dropping Cruz or knocking him out. Matias would be the most explosive and exciting fight, but Cruz would beat him and possibly knock him out. Toe to toe exchange would favor Cruz.
