LJ being soo sought after now $$$$$ don't sleep on the WJ. Similar wb and can be had w a V8. Always wanted a Scrambler, but built a 360 CJ7 instead. Then while looking for a V8 swapped LJ, found a well built 6.0 swapped JKU. So now I've settled twice lol
I really liked my 1976 CJ7, with the 258 straight six, with a header, intake manifold, holly carb, turbo muffler, 7 leaf springs on each corner, and 4 speed manual shifter.
I found a gem of an 05 LJ Rubihara with 19k miles and it was fairly built out, just needed some refreshing and minor changes. Wish it had long arms but its a good trail setup, only 33s with a 4 inch terraflex lift kit, sliders, bumpers, warn9.5ti sport cage in front.
Hummmm, the lj wheel base is best at 103.4". The Xj wheel base is 101. Easy 2 inch stretch in front, easy 1 inch stretch in the back, and you have a 104 wheel base. Probably why they are so good as well i think....
Sorry, but Toyota has been the king of off-road since the 1st FJ40 rolled on to the sands of the Australian outback in 1959. Willy's started it, Toyota perfected it. I don't know how anyone can claim a Mexican built Chrysler product is anything to brag about. Sure if you want to dump tens of thousands of dollars into them to replace all the cheap factory crap, okay but that's not the same vehicle at that point. I challenge anyone to claim Toyota produces cheap crap. To say that would be delusional.
Sorry dude JK is King. millions have been sold for a reason. Also, I love how that LJ is sporting JK Rubicon axle. Despite my comment I do like the LJ it was the JK grandpa.
Had an 06 LJ for several years. Sadly she was totaled in an accident. She was unstoppable on the trails and comfortable as a daily driver.

Perfect wheelbase for a Jeep - wish the current 2dr Wranglers had this configuration IF ONLY for a larger fuel tank.

I like how the relationship between the TJ and the LJ is the same as the relationship between the CJ5 and the CJ6

There is no bigger Jeep fan then I am, but the best off road vehicle, in stock form, I ever seen is a 1983 Suzuki sj410.. Nothing else comes close.
I reject your reality and insert my own!
@@SFJ4x4 👍

I agree i have an LJ long arm and s tretched my TJ Wrangler to 105''
Id like to do the same with my TJ 👊🏼
I'll take my xjs on 35s. But I do like the tjs and ljs but that frame rust is a killer.
Now say something about how you only need a 3.5 inch lift and 33s!
I drive a '21 gladiator rubicon, its pretty nice, but would like to have a small v8 in it.
LJs are sweet, but nothing out-wheels a $2500 XJ on 35s
Hush!
2005 LJR with hemi/545rfe swap.
