There used to be a feature called Community Captions that allowed users to caption videos for others. RUclips removed that option. Sorry. I can tell you that a lot of the whispered lines are actually unintelligible.
I think I noticed a detail. At 4:11 when the lady goes into the basement, the rooms have blue light, and the basement has red colour light. At 10:10 when the lady goes into the basement, the colour of the room she came from was red this time, and the basement room had blue colour. I couldn't find the meaning of this.. why did the light colour interchanged? I'm sure there is some meaning to this. If this didn't mean something then the yellowish orange colour of light in the room at 10:03 would not have changed suddenly to red at 10:10 If anyone finds the meaning of this please tell me.🔎

this needs a part 2 on the real...did she ever pay attention to that little door before? what was it supposed to be used for? and is it like a portal to another world? or does a monster live in an old laundry chute?
It looked like an old "dumb waiter", as they were called back in the old (Victorian, etc.) days...wealthy ppl had them in their big mansions and homes. The servants were able to transport items such as food etc. up/down to certain rooms. But I never noticed any other small little doors in like the girl's room etc., so not sure if it was a dumb waiter. But that's the first thing that came to mind when I saw it anyway. Actually, that'd be kinda funny...a haunted dumb waiter 😂 I suppose if whatever it was that was always hungry needed a good spot to get any food, a dumb waiter would make some sense ha!!
Did anyone else have a difficult time hearing what the evil entity was saying? I couldn't understand any of it and there's no subtitles available for this film. So if someone could lmk what the evil thing was saying I'd really appreciate it lol. Silly me! I'm getting older and harder of hearing, dang it all - to the point where I can hardly understand evil monsters anymore!! 🤦🏻♀️
The question I have is, when she left the house, why in God’s name would she come back? Go to a friend’s house. Sleep on a park bench if necessary. But why go back?!
Interpretation of mine. Spoilers ahead. Demon lives in the washing machine and requires Food/Sacrifices. Guy feeds him for some personal gain/safety not having the full picture. It seems to me that the demon might have required a certain amount of souls to get out of the cage and no longer being bound to the machine. Likely the demon could have taken him at any moment, but was used as a stooge until the demon only needed the last sacrifice, which the guy fit perfectly. And now the demon is free. To return home or cause havoc on earth? Unknown.
Pippa Hinds is a marvelous actress. I believe she can carry a film. She reminds me of Scarlett Johansson in "Lost in Translation." Beautifully filmed. If you don't mind me saying, the ending was unsatisfying to me. Why was she looking calmly, almost warmly, at Alex in that moment, and taking her eye off of the unknown threat from the dark? I think her fear and agitation should have been building to a crescendo--think Jodie Foster in the final scene in the killer's home in Silence of the Lambs. She would have at least jumped back in surprise upon suddenly seeing Alex there. Also, it doesn't seem physically reasonable that something could reach out from that small hole grab and pull in a strong young woman almost instantly. I think you could have taken your time with that part. (I know, I know, and increase the film budget by 50,000 pounds!) Sure, do have something grab her, and have her put up a good fight....like the raft scene in "Creepshow 2...". She's fighting, resisting, yelling "ALEX...!!" Maybe Alex wakes from his stupor and helps her...maybe something else happens. The film was very strong in terms of creating discomfort and creepy suspense. Overall, it was quite enjoyable , thank you!
