This is great! Whoever built my house did not include a vent that blows outside! Instead, the air blows right back into the kitchen 😡 So all I needed was a range hood for lighting purposes only! Thanks!!
Yeah, the vent recirculates the air back in your case, but they should have filters therefore its jot a problem. If yours doesn't have a filter, it's literally useless.
Excellent video! The exact same thing would work for a front venting setup - where we need a replaceable filter. We have such a hood, but we won't be using the fan at all - we never used the fan on the Microwave that was there either... yet THAT had been vented out the back and into a vent system in the wall. Since we are venting (even though we are not using it) into the house, so I will be placing the filter in the hood for that. And the unit will cover that vent hole... so I am making a plug that can be removed, should someone later on decide they want to make use of the external vent. The other "issue" we have is that our cabinet has a one inch spacer (so I need to have a 1 inch mounting board spacer, the microwave we removed had made use of the spacers - but I don't think they are in the same location I need for the four mounting screws... and I will be wanting a much more secure mount of the supplied 1" boards that came with the hood). Once I get those properly positioned and installed? The rest will be as simple as your installation here - thanks for posting!
Bro wth 🤦🏻 lol the main point of this is to suck all the cooking smoke out the house 🏡 you basically installed a light all other features are useless the way you installed it 😅
I appreciated a few parts of this video. Thanks for that. But at around 14 seconds into the video, on the top of range hood, we see small removable rectangle for ductless operation which allows the hood to vent back into the kitchen. Did you remove it earlier for ductless operation? And if you did... did that vent hole stick out past the cupboard it was attached to, so it could vent back inside the kitchen. Once you had it installed, it looked like that vent hole was being covered/blocked by the bottom of the cupboard it was attached to. That would have stopped the hood from venting back into the kitchen, and would have been very hard on the fan motor. Am I missing something here? I looked at a similar model vent hood, but couldn't understand why that vent hole ended up behind the 12" depth of the cupboard. Again.... am I missing something here. Thanks again for the video
They skipped a hell of a lot of steps… would have been helpful if they did a unboxing, explaining the vents(and your options), as well as a few more installation steps. Left a lot to the imagination.
Nice and simple video… I was hoping to hear about the venting part and if you used that over ductless. I’m installing a new hood with venting that is offset and will have to tweak it because the 50 year old set up is half the width with a stud on the side.
You bought an exhaust fan and didn’t exhaust it. The proper fan should have had a vent at the top of hood that recirculates the air info the kitchen if you weren’t going to exhaust the air. Derp
It would be more helpful to see inside the cupboard above the hood. It's really annoying that no one does this. When making a decision as to what hood to buy a lot of that decision is based on how much space the thing is going to take up. What cupboard space will be available. It would have been good to see this.
Your wall should have a duct system that leads outside of the roof. If you don't have that, you have to get on installed, if not just have to open the flap at the front made for those who don't have a duct system
It has a carbon/charcoal filter that traps the grease and bad odor. Then it releases the air back into the kitchen. That is why it is called a ductless rangehood. Unlike the ducted rangehood that has a pipe or chimney that sucks the exhaust outside the hosue

Thank you a bunch my hubby got my list to do fine ❤️🇺🇸

Thanks for the video this helped me a lot 😊
Lol. Skipped about 50 steps but ok. This part you did is easy but there is a lot more to it.
Was going to say......this told me nothing but to ise my imagination
🤣🤣🤣 #mythoughtsexactly

Thank you.
lol, bought this exact same range hood and ran into the same issues with power. what a relief!
how do you mount one if you don't have an upper cabinet to attach it to?
Trying to install a hood but my cabinet is 1.5 inches shorter. Is it ok to drill holes in the range hood to change the front screw position?
You literally showed 1% of the steps.

How many blessings my friend. Thank you for taking the time out to inform us how to install the ductless range hood 😊
So where does the duct go
Dude, nice job!!
This is a ductless range hood.
Do you even know what ductless range hood is?try to research
I want to find out how to do the electrical part this video is not very helpful

I see what you did....you made it a ductless/useless hood....
Indeed, coz am wondering where e sucked air will go!
Never have rangehood before? You dont need ducting to use it. Switch the lever to air flow on the from vent. Easy
@@rockshox519 i only knew ducted type only.
Thanks for clarification
@@FTNewBie And don't forget to install a charcoal filter inside the hood to remove oil and odor. It is OK if you don't cook much.
Some come ductless fyi
He slipped a lot. Not very useful
Not sure what you talking about… 🤨
😟😟😟🥴🥴😂😂I can't found the electric cord,,,,and the screws ,help please,,ty in advance
this is not gonna work if there is a top exhaust and the hole in the cabinet is not big enough to allow the range hood to slide in
It's a ventless hood.
I didn't see where the outlet is located.
HAND HELD SCREW DRIVER ?? wow
No fare, you have a helper?
Not really.
Where does the sucked air go
It's a ductless range hood. Air is recirculated to the kitchen
Where is the duct work??
We dont have that here in Florida.
@@DIYtimeTech So the exhaust and smoke will just fill up that cabinet and come back in the room?
I think this is just a light 💡
@@CaptainReverendoRecirculation with a filter. Where I live, you can’t have a duct either
@@CaptainReverendoyes it recycling the air back into the kitchen. But trapping the grease and bad odor with a carbon/charcoal filter.
Hello, how much does the installation of one like this cost?
It’s not going through the hole the wire
That's a really expensive grease trap / smoke alarm tester bruh
Where does the ducting tube go how do you go through the wall with the tubing etc. ??
Your wall should have a duct system that leads outside of the roof. If you don't have that, you have to get on installed, if not just have to open the flap at the front made for those who don't have a duct system
When using ductless, does the fan blow out or in??
It blows inn buddy. Like sucks the air inn.
Can this be used over an outdoor gas grill, it’s on a deck with a roof?
I suggest checking manufacturer specs. In general - no, indoor appliances are usually not rated for much harsher outdoor environment.
No ducts? Why even install a range hood? Open the window at that point
These have charcoal or metal mesh filters inside that adsorb smell and fumes.
That works pretty well in small houses without a need for ductwork.
thanks man ...Good Job!
Super helpful - thank you!
Where are you venting the air to? Under your cabinet? 😅
It's ductless
Where does the exhaust go?
Back into the kitchen lol

Necesita instalar el Vent para arriba es bastante batalloso pero es más profesional y más eficiente) si no tiene que usar el filtro charcoal.
You only showed how to put in screws!! How about the ductwork??? Otherwise known as the important part lol delete this video
