Wouldn't an overhead projector marker be a better idea than a sharpie just in case you make a mistake you can wash it off. Or just stick to a pencil. 🤔

Aren’t those ducts mounted upside down ? I understand the smaller end should be toward the coming airflow otherwise moist and grease will leak

The crimped outlet from the hood should go inside the duct. If the duct is smaller (6"), use 7" to 6" reducer.
