787 has more of a high pitched whine but the a350 seems to rumble a bit more. Both great sounds though up close. And great video too 👍
No. A350 has far higher pitched than 787. GEnx has 18 blades while Trent XWB has 22.
@@Guktodaechaeuhwedoro the high pitch whine comes from the compressor blades. The roar comes from the N1 fan.
what about compared to 777?
The a350 can be heard from far away but the Boeing 787 can’t

It's a close call.... The thing that is really annoying is that pitch noise that the GE engine does! Doesn't sound like a big engine! The RR engine sound fat, big, and beautiful!
No.and the RR engine has lots of problems (they one the a350 is using )

Not a fair comparison. 787-800 is smaller and lighter than A350-900. Weather conditions vastly different.
If you had done same location on the same day and preferably with a few minutes of each then you can have a valid comparison.
This is just planes rolling to rotation

the 787 in the video is a 787-9 which is the closest thing to the a350-900, similar weight, similar size etc. I see what you mean but its hard to find a set of 4 clips that match to be honest and this was the closest thing. Thanks for watching though mate

A350 by far is louder. In real life you can barely hear 787s but the A350s have this bassy roar which is to die for!

They are both intensely loud for the majority of people, but I find the noise exhilarating. To my mind, the finest sound is from the Airbus A350. Do you know which company provided the engines for these planes?
the airbus a30 has rolls royce trent XWB engines and the 787 can have a RR trent 1000 or a general electric GEnx. the TUI in this clip has GE engines

The Airbus A350XWB-900 and A350XWB-1000 Are All powered by 1 Sole Engine Manufacturer, Famous British Rolls Royce Trent XWB as seen on Documentary.
The Boeing 787 Dreamliner Families Are powered by Both Engines Manufacturers Rolls Royce and General Electric.
I think that 787 is quieter than the A350 but I like them both

@@CameleonClyde No I don't mind even on a 12 hour flight. Why I don't because people moan to much they moaned about who the 767 was loud so boeing made the 787 and now people are moaning about that. They will moan about a350 next
@@ethansaviation2672 well, I guess it depends of the person. The A350 that I took (Paris/Tokyo) was better in terms of comfort, including for the ears! The 787-900, (same Paris- Tokyo) legit fucked my ears for a few days...
But 787-10 has a better business class and computers. And the comfort is good but a350 is way more comfortable. And being inside a Boeing 787-10 feels like your in a biggest house. And its wider. But both are great planes but I mostly prefer A350-1000 Than 787-10. If Boeing Releases 787-11 I would 100% prefer it.

There seems to be no clear spool up sound on the 787 engines ; compared to a350s, 777s etc
you should do a Ge and RR comparison because to me one is louder then the other wonder why is that. Because the 787 uses both
yeah, unfortunately its a bit tricky at manchester as all of the 787's we get in here have GEnx engines. if and when we get a RR 787 in we'll make that video. thanks for watching

The Airbus A 350 is the loudest of the two aircraft.
It's sound or how lound it is doesn't matter... Infact, it's the flight time, power and fuel capacity of the engine

Boeing 787 Dreamliner Engines are still louder than Airbus A350XWB-900 that made Singapore 🇸🇬 Airlines to shift their Boeing 787-8 and 787-9 Dreamliner to its Subsidiary Scoot Airlines and itself operated the Boeing 787-10 Dreamliner Aircraft.

They are both two big sexy aircrafts, but A350 sounds cooler and more unique, and yes a bit louder. I wonder how 787's engines can keep themselves so silent and not roary at all!
