Maiev is blinded by her sense of vengeance, similar to Arthas before he took up Frostmourne. She doesn't really promote the ideals of justice by the end of the campaign.

Gul'Dan and half his Stormreavers went into the tomb and were ripped apart by Demons. Meanwhile, Doomhammer sent the Dragon Riders with Rend and Maim (Blackhand's sons) and nearly the entire Black Tooth Grin clan to kill Gul'Dan, they fought Chogall and his Twilight Hammer killing them entirely and found Gul'dan had been slain. However, this decision cost Doomhammer the war, being down over half his Ogres, his Dragon Riders and three full clans, he retreats to Khaz'Modan and gives Kilrogg Deadeye a large portion of the army to keep the Dwarves at bay before retreating to Black Rock Mountain to regroup. Within a week the Alliance of Elves, Humans, and Dwarves reach Black Rock Mountain and Doomhammer attacks before the orcs can be completely besieged. Doomhammer kills Lothar in single combat and then is knocked out by Turalyon who finally secures his faith against the Orcs, "Azeroth is a land of light and the Orcs are not from Azeroth," is his mindset. This is the end of Doomhammer's reign and the end of the war. Doomhammer will sit trial for the Horde, Maim, and Rend are nearly killed at the Dark Portal and retreat to Black Rock and take it as their own. Khadgar destroys the Dark Portal but a split in space-time still exists. The Frostwolf clan refuses to interact with the Horde.

Classic Blizzard. Not the first or last time they made Illidan into a master of miscommunication. So much conflict would be avoided, if everybody else had a sitdown and honest eye to eye discussion. But, we are playing an RTS game called WARcraft, not TALKcraft, it would be pretty boring and short game. :P
I can't believe this series only has like 15k views per video... This is by far the best version I have been able to come across. This really should be stickied at mmo-champ at least.

Came back to this when I read in Chronicles Vol. 3 that the last mission and ending were not included. Just says Illidan left through Kel'Thuzad's portal and Malfurion and Tyrande went back to Kalimdor after stopping his ritual.
I litteraly finished all the campaign in dota when i was just 7, i cant even understand english back then😀 (i was really addicted cause its the only game on my pc)
this is rather funny, in this game the story goes, Gul'dan set Sargeras free and got his clan destroyed by crazed demons, in the previous game (warcraft 2) Gul'dan, his stormreaver clan and the twilight hammer clan were were killed by the blackrock clan, commanded by the player in orc mission 12 named "the tomb of Sargeras".
I think it was retconned to a compromise. Gul'dan himself was torn apart by demons crazed by their inprisonment, there was no Sargeras inside. Similar fate befell those who followed him into the Tomb, while everybody else outside was slaughtered by Doomhammer's forces recalled from his campaign in Lordaeron.
also, isnt it weird that races can not learn the languages of other races? i actually believe that on her warden duties, she could have been studying such things
Except there's a major plot problem in that the Orcs had only arrived to Azeroth recently. Unless Maiev met with Thrall's Horde or the Warsong Clan, she wouldn't be able to recognize an orc (Drak'thul), associate them with demons (again, Drak'thul), and much less read Gul'dan's runes.
Lol, the Night Elves already had contact with the Orcs during Reign of Chaos. I am pretty sure prison guards know what the hell is going on outside too. The part about knowing how to read their runes are suspicious though.
When you play the TFT campaign its in the same list as the ROC campaigns. When I play, there is a separate Frozen Throne program that I open to play the TFT campaigns.

dota 2 is just a revamped and renewed version of dota 1, a moba genre custom map based on warcraft 3(wc3), played on the frozen throne(tft), the game expansion of warcraft 3 reign of chaos. Dota 2 is a separate game inspired by dota 1, inspired by aeon of strife, played on wc3: tft.
