I removed the rubber items on the roof. Cleaned the groves and sprayed liquid glue(leak spray) 5 coats. The glue also gave adhesion to the black rubber strips when I returned. No leak now. Fiesta 2009 mk7
I found same problem on 2010 fiesta - leak was from welded roof seam under the plastic roof trim just before it meets the rear tailgate. Painted rubber underbody seal over cracked factory sealant to fix!

The interior is very easy to take apart. Just remove the front seats, pop the rear seats up (no need to remove) and remove some of the plastic panels around the side that covers the wires. Only thing i had to do when i completely removed the carpet from my car was that around the center console the carpet wraps around, so i just reached back with a sharp knife and cut it. After removing and cleaning it just flipped right back into place without issue.
Ironic this has just happened to my car but don't want to be taking it to someone who will do a cowboy job. Would not know where to start for even finding garage who would do this job properly . Where are you lol. Looking at this video I would come to you lol I live in the north east.

How did you get that carpet out the side and what screws did you loosen without damaging it?

All cars leak when they get to 8-12 years old because plastic and rubber perishes. Fords aren't worse than any other car.
