Thanks for watching man, I took a look at the TMD kit and it looks pretty nice as well. I just like Brembo brakes still, got to have the big 6 piston fronts for the wow factor and aggressive look.
Love your all your videos. I have the exact same cat and I love working on it. Would love to do what you do and just make videos. I really appreciate all the effort that you put in these videos and you're a real joy to watch while I'm on my ship (navy) keep them up!
That's awesome man. Glad to know you enjoy the videos, especially being on active duty on a Navy shop. Thanks for your service. Be safe out there and have fun wrenching on your car when you get back. Thanks for watching.
You are very welcome! So glad to hear people like my VB videos. I try to show you guys exactly what I would want to see if I was considering doing this brake upgrade to my car. Happy Holidays!
Question on your lift....do you lift by the pinch weld? I know they make the slotted doughnuts to use on floor jacks but only saw square blocks in another review video of lift. Thanx and awesome ride.
Yeah I lift the car by the pinch welds. The rubber blocks that come with the QuickJacks and nice and big which does not cause any damage to the car while lifting. The slotted blocks did come with my lift set as well, I just have not used those ones yet. The regular block work just fine for me everytime.
Looks like you used to live close to me in the Bonney Lake area. I need an honest opinion on how much better the brakes were after your swap? I swapped the pads already and well it better I still want more.
I don't usually post unless the content on a video is outstanding. This was an awesome video: unique and high quality content. I'm an engineer and have worked on my own cars and motorcycles, and I'm just really impressed with your process, I got a lot of useful tips. Also, I think I heard Billy Idol in the background--- am I right?! :) I'm also really impressed with your VB, and will look at your other videos to see what else you've done it! Thank you for video, and please keep posting!!
Wow, thanks! Yes I had some classic rock going in the back ground while I was working. Glad to hear you enjoyed the high quality and detail in my videos. Thanks for watching.
There are links in the description of my video for everything you will need on the parts list to do this STI set up on your car. Have fun and thanks for watching.
They sell just the rotor disc rebuilds for $550. paragonbrakes.com/paragon-replacement-rotors-for-18-subaru-wrx-sti-6-pot-calipers-vab-vaf-front-pair/?fbclid=IwAR2D1rC-PMcEAcRGyjQjJnnT7nAHlnJW7DcoUbZFo23362I7TcVSiIs8PUE I think later on when the 2024 TR comes out that those OEM rotors will also be a direct fit as well.
I could not find torque specs that seemed to be accurate and over 115 ft lbs for the front. To me that seemed like a good way to strip on the aluminum threads out on the calipers. I didn't share what specs I used because I didn't want to be responsible for anyone over tightening their bolts and damaging the caliper threading. From what I remember I did 60 ft lbs for the front and of course less for the rear since they were smaller, I think 35 ft lbs on the rear of course with a little loctite to keep everything in place. My brakes have performed perfectly so far. Use caution and make sure no to overdo the torque specs. Thanks for watching and have fun with your VB mods.
Yes the rears were 2018+ STI OEM rotors and front require the paragon rotors. You can use stock STI front rotors, but you need a rotor spacer with extended wheel studs. The other option that might work out in the future. The 2024 TR WRX has Brembo 6 pot front calipers. I am thinking those OEM rotors should fit with the last gen STI front brakes. I will buy one of these when Subaru has these in the parts department and test out the fitment on my channel for the VB WRX community. Thanks for watching and have fun with your car.
I did a front pad upgrade and lots of brake testing in this video. ruclips.net/video/I8gfoe_I3YQ/видео.html Hope thats what you were looking for? Let me know!
@@JDMRightHandDrive Rotora Stainless Steel Rear Brake Lines 2022-2023 WRX and front lines fit a (CVT BASE) cause it’s says the lines for rear are for manual And the description says nothing about the front ones

you're not worried about having no dust Shields at all in the rear? I think I'm just going to trim mine connect to keep some protection

340X30 mm is the correct rotor for make swap to STI 6 pot
Nice bro
Thanks man, my car feel amazing now. Time for some sway bars and end links next.
Question so the dust shield doesn’t just unbolt ? I know I read you can just use va dust shields ??
Do these clear the oem wheels?
Where did you guys the breaks from?

Whats wheel and tyre specs?
I read the '24 TR has a larger master cylinder for its brake set-up. Do you think the stock WRX MC is good enough?
Hey man can you tell me what size is your brake master cylinder is l want upgrade mines on my 2013 Scion frs mines is 1 inch from factory
Do you need pay $950 every time you need new disc rotors now?

@@JDMRightHandDrive do they have the rear rotor set up yet?
Does paragon make a rear set of rotors? I’d like to e two piece on the front and rear
They dont offer a 2 piece rear option at this point. I am sure if enough of us request for them, they will make a set for us.
What’s the torque spec for the calipers?

I have a question so does the sti 4 piston caliper from 08-17 year will fit the 2022 wrx ?
Yes they will, you need the special two piece rotors and STI caliper bolts
Yes they will fit. Need the 2 piece rotors in the smaller size. I have them linked in the description. Make sure you use the Brembo caliper bolts.
So the front requires paragon rotors and the rear uses the factory 2017 and up Sti rotor?
Yes the rears were 2018+ STI OEM rotors and front require the paragon rotors. You can use stock STI front rotors, but you need a rotor spacer with extended wheel studs. What size wheel and offset would you need for a flush settup?
no dust shield.. yikes... and the music when bleading... careful ..... but the car looks GREAT
That’s what it takes to install them. Should be fine.
@waykool698 in snow and/or mud. It has a chance of collecting between the pad and disk and causing a rear brake fade or failure.
Yeah pushing the music copy right on that spot. Thanks for watching. VB feels solid.
I was the 200th like let’s see the test
