Welcome to the best out there and Jon the greatest singer and frontman you could get his voice amazing live fantastic you'll be hooked after listening to this treat band great music no one dies it quite like jon and bon Jovi
Jon Bon Jovi is an awesome guy. He's still married to his high school sweetheart, he runs a food kitchen/restaurant where if the person can't pay they just jump in and work! Just an all around good guy.
How have you never heard a rock ballad, rock created the power ballad. And every 80s hair metal band has at least one lol, journey especially, most of their songs are ballads. Bon Jovi also has a lot! Poison- every rose has its thorns, Aerosmith- angel, Motley Crue- without you, def leopard- love bites, Tesla- love song…. I could keep going for ages lol but definitely a lot of ballads.
Jon Bon Jovi wrote this for a movie soundtrack "Romeo is bleeding" He saw the movie and hated it so he retracted it and told the producers they couldn't have the track! He had put the track recording on a shelf and forgot about it .... and decided to re-record it and it became a HUGE HIT!!!!
This is one of my favorite ballads. One of the most impressive performances of this song is their 1995 Wemberly Concert. Jon Bon Jovi has some AWESOME ballads: Bed of Roses, This Ain't a Love Song, Amen, Thank You for Loving Me, Lie to Me.....man. I love them.
As for what to listen to next.....I've been listening to this band for 20 years now. Since I was 16 and they are my favorite band. If you want to hear a really romantic, intense piece that does not match their traditional sound, Amen is the ticket. However, their work from the 90s is great. In these Arms, Dry County, Something for the Pain, Hey God.
Bon Jovi had a bulk of ballads in their catalog of music... Yes, they are a rock band from New Jersey, but they also dabbled in country and folk music. Their 1995 album 'These days' was ballads for half the record... Bon Jovi has not been the same since guitarist Richie Sambora left the band around 2013.
“Bed of Roses”Is a bother power love ballad from Bon Jovi. “It’s My Life” is another anthem song that is a follow up to “Livin’ on a Prayer. “It’s My Life” official music video has a movie-ish feel to it.
I was born in 1977. I was never a big Bon Jovi fan when it was new but as an adult I've really grown an appreciation for them. They have several really good songs.
More Bon Jovi please! So many decades of great music 🎶 I recommend Bed Of Roses, Keep The Faith, Wanted Dead Or Alive, I’ll Be There For You and I’am sure more comments will list so many more, these are a few of my favorites! Thanks for doing more Bon Jovi!
I went to his concert last Friday 04/08/2022 and I can only say positive things about his voice quality and talent. Simply amazing. Bon Jovi is a true star.
One of my favourite Bon Jovi ballads would be "I'll be there for you", but they just have so many songs I love, "Bed of Roses", "This Ain't a love song", "Thank you for loving me". They are all greatt!
It's My life and born to be my baby are a good rock songs. I'll be there for you, You wanna make a memory, and Bed of Roses were other ballads from them that hit #1, #27, and 10 respectively.
My all time favourite song, I remember being shown the video in business studies at school for some reason I can’t remember and have loved it since. Bed of Roses and Lie to me are also both amazing.
Every rock band has a ballad. Those are usually some of their biggest hits. You need to work your way through the hair metal bands. Poison, Cinderella, Skid Row (with Sebastian Bach a trained opera singer), Guns n Roses...
Ohhh but there are so many others too! Velvet Revolver- Fall to Pieces (is but isn't a love song. it is singer Scott Weilands love song to drugs. Sad sad loss! But his voice, talent & music, no matter who with, Velvet Revolver, Stone Temple Pilots, or Audio Slave IS amazing! Random info: in the video, all scenes of Scott OD ing. etc. are VERY REAL footage of him back stage OD ing! ) ruclips.net/video/9JhsUFuqbCM/видео.html + Aerosmith - I Don't want to Miss a Thing, Cryin, Crazy, Amazing, Angel, Hole In My Soul (more break-up song) + GnR - November Rain, Patience, Don't Cry, Sweet Child O' Mine, LOL and of course Used to Love Her ⚰💀😜 (my favorite of GnR LOL) + Meatloaf - Many more older as well, and tons could be add - I could go on all night lol.
You really should listen to the original version by Bon Jovi in the 90's. That's when he still sounded amazing. I have seen him live both in the 90's and in 2019. Age hasn't been kind to his singing voice.
He got worse after this, unfortunately. On the other hand, the pandemic had a good impact on his voice. With time to rest, it got better, way better. Last time I heard him live via RUclips during lockdowns, he sounded great.
Give the guy a break hes been singing for over 40 years and still selling out huge stadiums like wembley and Anfield and dont forget he is 60 years old his voice is not going to be as strong as the 80s we all age but I have seen him in the 80s live and in 2019 and they were fantastic never disappoint he rocked Wembley from floor to ceiling hes still got it and his band are great to
You’ve never heard of a rock ballad…time to go down a deep rabbit hole. Hard rock bands didn’t get a lot of airplay on mainstream top 40 radio, so they started making power ballads to get exposure on those stations. It would typically be the 2nd or 3rd song on an album. Here’s a list to get you started. I recommend the official videos. I Remember You - Skid Row Every Rose Has It’s Thorn - Poison Silent Lucidity - Queensryche Waiting for a Girl Like You - Foreigner I Want to Know What Love Is - Foreigner Home Sweet Home - Motley Crue The Flame - Cheap Trick Faithfully - Journey I Live My Life For You - Firehouse (my wedding song)
Most of this bands best songs are rock ballads. (Though not all). This brings back memories though, Goodness I think I had half of crossroads on my university mixtapes…. gotta love greatest hits albums.
Rock in the 80s had a huge amount of ballads, some id recommend are: Heaven - warrant Heaven - Bryan adams Home sweet home - Motley Crue Def Leppard - love bites
Not only a talented singer Jon Bon Jovi runs several restaurants in his home state of New Jersey that are pay what you can afford so people who wouldn't be able to pay for a restaurant meal can have one and offer their service in return. Just a great human being.
Thank you! I've been waiting for more reactions to this song! This is a great version. The studio version is better, IMO, just due to the vocals needed to get through it. But this IS is a great version. JBJ is a beast!
Sorry I just repeated what you just said. But your right. He’s had so much vocal chord damage, it’s really sad but man he keeps pushin gotta respect that
I saw Bon Jovi live in the mid 90s. They were absolutely incredible, better than the album versions on most songs. His voice is so powerful but also just beautiful.
Yes, that's a power ballad, and as long as I'm concerned, the best one. But Bon Jovi have a bunch of these, the better known possibly Bed Of Roses which I definitely recommend. There's a 'power' ballad version of it, the OG, but there's a slower version they did at a concert "A Night With Bon Jovi", which would go on the set the base for the Unplugged series - a more intimate type of concert. I do recommend you watch Bed Of Roses, but I truly don't know which version to recommend - they are both awesome. Others like This Ain't A love Song (it definitely is) and Never Say Goodbye are a must see.
Look up power ballads from the 80s hair bands....plenty of rock ballads - Poison, Motley Crue, Winger, Ratt, Cinderella, Bon Jovi (of course). I loved growing up listening to them.
This song (& it's video) was my introduction to Carla Gugino, the teenage me at the time was in love at first sight! 😍 * immediately looks for the official music video right after typing this 🤣
No self-respecting rock band who were big in the 80s/early 90s would be seen dead without a power ballad. Whether they made it big during that time or before, almost every single one of them had at least 1 power ballad, Bon Jovi just did it better than a lot of the others lol
If you want an underappreciated song (IMO) by Bon Jovi, check out Dry County. It's a little longer at 10 minutes long but it's got some amazing vocals and story to the lyrics and musically it's quite amazing
I second this. Probably the best underrated song there ever was by any artist. Hardly known outside their die hard fans, but it's so darn good! The live versions with his speech in the middle are insanely good. And imagine a guitar solo that's almost 3 minutes!
JBJ has a lot of great songs and albums, but one of my favorites is the Young Guns II sound track. Of course it helps if you saw the movie, then the songs have so much more meaning.
I've been a fan of Jon Bon Jovi for 30 years. Their more recent music isn't really for me, but that ok. I still love their older music. This track is about a stalker btw Gives "Always" a while new meaning, right?!😂 I'll Be There For You is probably my favorite ballad by Bon Jovi, but they have a lot of great ones. Their live rendition of Hallelujah is although amazing. Greetings from Germany
The guitarist Richie sambora writes the music Jon bon Jovi writes the lyrics.if you think he sounds good live which he does then think how good the studio version must be when you can pick which tape to go with. They have more ballads try I'll be there for you and bed of roses.
I miss the Richie and Jon combo. I'll never get over Richie leaving. They had such a chemistry together. I don't think Bon Jovi has been the same since. There's a spark missing. Just my opinion.

I actually like some of their stuff. But when I saw that thumbnail, I just couldn't help but atleast try to request Alter Bridge again. I haven't for awhile. So here's to hoping that you'll check them out. Thank you! Til next time☮ 💥💯🖤🎶🤘

Bon Jovi were the absolute best at making rock ballads. One of the best bands of all time!
Still are the best band now in 2023 still rocking
Not usually noted as one of his best, but "Lay Your Hands On Me" is one of his best rockers, also "Bad Medicine"
Jon Bon Jovi's voice sings to my soul! Been a fan for over 30 years. Bon Jovi is like a fine Whisky, gets better with age!
Amen to that
💯
His old voice yes, unfortunately he cant sing anymore

Their 1995 album 'These days' was ballads for half the record... Bon Jovi has not been the same since guitarist Richie Sambora left the band around 2013.
Jon has also lost his use of his singing well because of the steroid injections he use to get in his chords.
@@PrincessAmore1 no, thats just wrong info

Bon Jovi is Rock Ballad Central. Love "Bed of Roses".
