You just reacted to my wife's song. She passed away 2 years ago TODAY and I play this song EVERY SINGLE DAY. 😪I cannot believe you chose this song today. Thank you.
My heart goes out to you. My husband passed in 06. We loved Bon Jovi. Thoughts, prayers and hugs!❤
So sorry Bruce, I can't imagine losing my soulmate, I really hope you know that she is still with you, and you will be with her again. For now, remember all that you love about her, don't forget to look for signs.🕊❤️🎈
My condolences for your loss. This is a beautiful song and Bon Jovi is my favorite band.
Thank you @@joyhruska9377
@bkm2797 absolutely look for signs! That's great advice. I see them all the time.
This has always been my favorite Bon Jovi song. Often, people get this song confused and think he's talking about being with another woman because he mentions his "mistress" and how tonight "he won't be alone." It's actually referring to his career being his mistress and how it takes him away from the woman he loves and wants to be with. When he says he won't be alone, that's the reference to the audience. Such a beautiful song, and you're right, his vocals are incredible on this track! 🥰⚘️⚘️⚘️⚘️
not to forget, the blonde is his guitar^^
The blonde is his guitar, the mistress is the fans or the stage
The MTV Unplugged version of this song is very good too. You mentioned the song Blaze Of Glory from the movie Young Guns which I think you should definitely check out in your movie channel. Hope you enjoy It If you do.
I agree. Bon Jovi "Living in Sin" is one to react to!!! Bon Jovi puts on an Incredible show and nothing compares to Richie Sambora on the guitar. He's a master! Jon and Richie's vocals together are magical. They need to reunite!! These guys are Amazing!
Na but as far as i know: the morning after he cheated, sitting at the piano in his hotel room, he started writing this song as apology to his wife. I can be wrong, but thats what i know from this song
I believe he wrote this song for his wife Dorthia who he’s still married too. When he quit touring he started a foundation to help those in need. He owns a restaurant in New York and anyone is allowed to come in, if you can’t pay your bill you can wash dishes, sweep floors etc. and dinner is on him. He also spends time there prepping for meals, cleaning toilets, bussing tables. Just a great guy
Thought it was in New Jersey, his and Dorothea's restaurant, wherever it is, they are an amazing couple.
Always found it a funny love ballad as it's basically "I'm sleeping with a bunch of groupies but I miss you." It's simultaneous cringe and so endearing because of its realism to what many musicians are probably going through.
I don't think that's what the is saying at all. His mistress is the stage & touring.
I believe it's in Red Bank New Jersey.
@@jessicacox9261 That’s what I think also having watched a lot of his and Dorthea’s interviews that was my take also, because both are admit that they have been faithful their entire marriage.
A song that Jon wrote for his wife. He sleeps on a bed of nails because it is like torture being away from her. Some people think he is referring to cheating, but the blond giving him nightmares is his guitar and his "mistress" is the stage. Richie's vocals and guitar with Jon's vocals were always magical! If you want to see an absolutely awesome live performance, I suggest Dry County from Live at Wembley 1995! Jon's powerful and emotional vocals with Richie's guitar...amazing! The whole band kills it!
Well said Kristie. Right on the money. I heard Jon talk about this after the "Keep the Faith" album was released way back when? 1993, I think! Gee, I feel old! 😁
I've seen them in concert...amazing!!!
Dry County please
Love this song. Keep The Faith is my all time favorite Bon Jovi album, and Dry County is my all time Bon Jovi song
The blonde was actually Diane Lane who had been seeing, he and Dorothea was broke up at the time, not married yet. while dating Diane he realized he loved only Dorothea, and broke up with Diane.
Concerts in the 80s and 90s will never be duplicated!! The atmosphere.... just rocking and having a good time together!!
agreed, not to mention the incredible music talent back then.
What I wouldn't give to have seen them live in their full glory! 💔
One of the best power ballads EVER!! And Richie Sambora is a God among guitarists!!💜💜🎶🎼🎵🎹🎤🎧🎸🥁🔥🔥🔥🔥🤘🤘
And a fabulous singer in his own right. The song would be think without his backing vocals.
@@marshabailey1121 you're absolutely right!! I love Richie Sambora singing "I'll Be There For You"!!!🎶🎼🎵🤘
Swing master
@@gabrielgreff5911 huh?
Absolutely Richie was a good part of BJ and unfortunately Jon can’t sign like that anymore
Richie's guitar work in this song definitely shined! And, of course, Jon belting those powerful lyrics was amazing as well. I can't wait to see your reaction to "Wanted Dead or Alive." If you liked "Blaze of Glory" then you'll love that one!
I have been waiting for Wanted Dead or Alive for 2 years.
@craigdragseth9272 SAME! And we're NOT the only ones, lol! Fingers crossed!🤞
Love that line " As I dream of movies they won't make of me when I'm dead" And that power note makes your hair stand up on your arm.
My favorite line in the whole song. 🤘
Jon and his high school sweetheart Dorothea have been together for decades now, they are an amazing couple who do a lot of philanthropy and are just good decent people.
Thanks Jay and Amber.
Another great Bon Jovi song! I'd recommend "In These Arms" next. Amazing song.
This is one of my all time favorite Bon Jovi songs. I truly miss music like this because today's music is over produced ruining the complexity and passion in the human voice.
Very true. Well put.
Bon Jovi music always makes you want to blast the radio and sing at the top of your lungs because his voice is that moving.
You’ve stated it better than I’ve ever been able to.
People sleep on Richie's vocals because he's so amazing on the guitar. Jon and Richie sound so well together!
Their concerts were legit. Saw them in 2005. They brought the energy. After doing some songs off their Have a Nice Day album, they did a "time warp" back to 1984, with their first hit, Runaway, and introduced the pyros to give it an 80's feel. Four hour concert. Best concert I have been to.
amazing !
Same when I saw them in '95 - epic concert!
I've seen them 18 times between 95 & 2018 & have never been disappointed they are the best live!!
@@denisechavez3085 18 times!? do... do you live next door to them or something!? 😜
I saw them in 2001, on Valentine’s Day. Awesome concert!
One of my favorite Bon Jovi songs
Gosh…. They were so young there. Grew up a few towns over from him. Talking about the vocals…. Understand that Jon always sings with Ritchie (lead guitar). Watch the video again, Ritchie is always there. As Jon’s grown older and Ritchie is no longer touring, the live performances have suffered. But gosh, back in the day…. Jon’s live performance was stellar. And yes, their concerts were the best music .. ever!
BTW…. He’s singing to Dorothea, his wife.
Jon’s & Richie’s vocals meshed so well.
This is one of Bon Jovi's best songs, the vocals by John and Richie are top notch.
Power Ballad!!!!! Bed Of Roses!!!What an amazing track!! Great Reaction!!!! Thank You so Much ✌✌✌ 🇦🇺
Richie's backing vocals amplifies Jon's. I love their voices together.
This is definitely one of my favourites. Another great vocalist that I hope you haven't forgotten about is Jewel. "Foolish Games" is a must listen to. Have a wonderful day. ✌️
Definitely needs some female Friday attention to Jewel!
One of Bon Jovi's best songs ever was never released as a single - "Blood On Blood". If you react to it, please do the live version from the Moscow Peace Festival. It's an incredible performance.
Live from Phoenix is a great version as well. Best Bon Jovi song ever!!!
Yes, I would love to hear that song from Bon Jovi, from the New Jersey album, one of his best songs, IMO!
Richie is underrated. His fills and solos hit different. He’s got soul.
I remember Bon Jovi performing this song live in the middle of the street on a band stand in Cardiff in 1995 (they performed for free). I threw my guitar pick onto the stage and Richie Sambora used it, then threw it back into the crowd. I never saw that guitar pick ever again.
There is more than one Soul Kitchen, which is the name of their Restaurants. Jon does so many awesome things it's hard to list them all. Jon & his wife Dorthia are TRUE Humanitarians ❤
This is one of my favorite Bon Jovi songs! Love their power ballads! "Make a Memory", Thank You for Loving Me", "In These Arms" are other favorites that you haven't reacted to yet.
Bon Jovi, *the* band of my final high school days. Man, we played their stuff so much, and so loud, while singing at the top of our lungs. Good times and busted vocal cords. 😅
And yes, their concerts were like that! At least the one time I saw them live in '95 it was! Absolutely epic concert!
Ok, guys, this is weird. I was just thinking to myself this morning that I wish you two would react to this song. It's been in my head for two days straight. And what do you know, I get home, and there you guys have done it! Amazing! Thank you so much. You definitely made me smile.
This is one of the best power ballads ever written, and a huge hit for the band. Jon was at his peak of writing here, and when he wrote this song, he hit an absolute home run. This song is so special to so many people, as the words are so powerful and meaningful, and people interpret it to fit their own lives. It is a timeless song, and just as impactful now as it was when it was released. Jon Bon Jovi will go down as not only a great singer and entertainer, but his song writing is brilliant, and to me, this is his best work. Great reaction to an absolutely beautiful song
A Kings ransom in dimes I'd give each night to see through this payphone.... One of my favorite lines in this song.... This song is overflowing with poetry if you listen to the lyrics....
The only man from the 80s/early 90s that I regret never getting to see in concert. I once had tickets but still didn't get to go. That's a long story.
Such a great, beautiful performance
I was 22 when this came out and I was in Love with Jon. I was a teenager when they first burst on the scene and as a 54 year old I am still obsessed
Such a nice song from Bon Jovi. Jon never ages, he’s so cute & a good singer. 🌹🌹
Awesome Guitarist... Enter Richie Sambora... Epic Classic Powerful Ballad ...one of The Best Solo guitar riffs evva played 😊🎸🎸🎸
Jay rocking the Heart shirt! I just got tickets to Heart, Journey and Def Leppard at Fenway Park this summer!! So pumped
JBJ has one of the best rock vocals ever. I'm huge fan of BJ since 90' and I only wish for them to visit Poland again. They are ageless and I can listen to their songs another 30 years 🙂. Thank you for this reaction ❤
This song never gets old. I love it as much as I did when it came out 30 years ago. The rasp and power in Jon’s voice is gorgeous.
The "Wanted Dead Or Alive" official music video or Jon and Richie performing an acoustic version of it on the 1989 MTV Video Music Awards are both a must see!
This song came out when I was about 10. It was also my introduction song to Bon Jovi as it has been a huge band in Indonesia since the mid-80s. You can't ignore Richie Sambora and David Bryan's back up vocals.
This blinking song gets me everytime, Jon Bon Jovi's voice stole my heart when I was 16 and he still hasn't given it back (I am now 54) never get tired of hearing his music
NO ONE does a power ballad like Bon Jovi. Journey is close for sure, GnR and Def Leppard have some great ones. But Bon Jovi just makes it feel epic. “She Don’t Know Me”, “Silent Night”, “Never Say Goodbye”, “Without Love”, “I’ll Be There For You”, “Living In Sin”, “In These Arms”, “Always”, “This Ain’t A Love Song” - all great.
John BonJovi does so much for the homeless and hungry population i love their music more everyday.
You should listen to him singing Hallelujah, the most beautiful song ever
It is an experience!! I hope they react to it!
Great song! Jon is an awesome vocalist but this might be one of his best efforts. Also…what a great guitarist & backup singer Richie Sambora is. Love them all!
Unfortunately, many fans have sort of turned on Jon after many years of his singing voice deteriorating. To the point that many claim that his former lead guitarist Richie Sambora (seen in this video) has always been the better singer. Both were equally great in their primes, but it's no coincidence that the backup singer has been able to maintain his voice better throughout their careers. Songs like this are reminders that Jon was a deserving lead vocalist of the band.
I love everything by Bon jovi❤❤❤
This has to be my favorite Bon Jovi song of all time. So much emotion
I saw them in concert in the nineties for this album tour and I can tell you it was just like this. They were perfection.
Love this song but don't forget to give Richie Sambora the credit he deserves. Not just guitar but an outstanding vocalist in his own right. His backing vocals add a ton to this, and every other, song.
They’re not the same since he left the band.
Richie and Jon are the best duo imo
@@sabrinapittsley2304 Sadly, he's not the same either! Even if he were sober enough to come back, they still wouldn't be the same!
I saw them in concert in 1989 and it was spectacular 🎉🎉
You should do "Silent Night" next... underrated gem from their early years.
Sooo underrated! Love it.
7800° Fahrenheit album is way too underrated in general
I am in New Zealand and have seen them three times. The These Days Tour, Bounce Tour and Lost Highway tour. Our venues are not as large as overseas, so we don't have the fireworks, etc, but they don't need that. Their stage presence and playing/singing abilities are more than enough.
The best rock ballad ever.
It’s a beautiful song from a cracking album. Fantastic set of tunes. And he wrote it about/to his wife… it’s so intensely powerful and personal.
And I went to 2 of their concerts at Wembley Stafium. I rocked for HOURS! They are superb live… and with their back catalogue they could play all day and there’s not a bad song in there.
Quality music, superb writing, a band more people need to discover and I’m enjoying watching entirely new generations finding and loving their music. 😊
You should react to Born to be my Baby by Bon Jovi. It is a great song and J would love the bass part
Yes!! Love that song! Well. All of his. But definitely not one to miss.
Richie Sambora vocals are amazing. Saw them a few times in the 80's
Another amazing Bon Jovi ballad!!! It was a #10 hit in 1993.
Yesss, you should react to Jon Bon Jovi - Sante Fe, criminally underrated song!
Or his "Midnight In Chelsea"
Bon Jovi did an Unplugged back in the day. Well worth it. Even playing acoustic, they still hit those impactful moments. Well worth the watch if you can find a copy. Would make a great reaction, comparing them to the studio versions you've already listened to.
Yes, Bon Jovi concerts were like that, I seen them at Ibrox Football Stadium back in the 90s and it was unbelievable!!!
Definitely one of the most impactful power ballads ever... I haven't heard this in a long time... Thank you for reacting to this one... Great job as usual again , guys...Keep being awesome !!!...
That entire "Keep The Faith" record is so good.
I love love love Bon Jovi I have every single album this is song is one of the best love songs . Jon just has the best voice for these types of songs.. Bon Jovi fan forever
Great reaction. Thank you💜. Suggestions for next Bon Jovi songs, "Someday I'll Be Saturday Night", "Something To Believe In", "Just Older" and from the Lost Highway, country inspired, album "Whole Lot of Leavin'" and "(You Want To) Make a Memory". Thanks again😁
I woke up so many times to this song playing on the radio when I had to get up for Jr. high. ❣️
I love you guys. I love this song. Please do more Creed and Nickleback this is how you remind me.
I love this song because Jon Bon Jovi showcases his vocal range and the symbolism in the lyrics. A very well written song that he sang perfectly.
Ahh! I was in the audience in the last part, New Year's Eve 1992 (hence, balloons and champagne); awesome show!
Bon Jovi's best song!! Arguably the best song of the entire decade!!!!
This was one of my favorite bands of the 80s. Their Slippery When Wet Tour covered the continents selling out by each showing and their albums charting multi platinum. It was definitely something to live through and attend those concerts. And to see them continue after that success with hits like this was great. They'll always be a favorite.
This is Jon's soft side,so good! The one that really makes my heart skip a beat is called,You Wanna Make a Memory? It's a MUST!💋🎙🎶
Keep the faith album biggest story was Jon and everyone cut their hair. Keep the faith is great album..from songs like Keep the faith, dry country, if I was your mother, I believe, sleep when I'm dead, fear.
I've seen Bon Jovi live five times and one of my favorite shows was in 2005 at MSG (in NY) when the entire arena was singing along to the lesser known Raise Your Hands and we were all raising our hands. Haha. They were a lot of fun in concert.
can we just appreciate that they got a whole baby grand piano on top of a mountain 😄
Helicopters are wondrous machines lol
Bon Jovi's concerts are amazing and have some of the coolest productions you'll see. If they do another tour, you gotta go see them!
Just love his longing for his wife and family. So beautiful
I wasnt a huge fan of them early on but the album Keep the Faith came out, I recognized how their music matured and Jon's voice accompanied the music better than before. I agree too he is one of the best voices in Rock music .
😂
Jon is one of the best song writers of ALL TIME...
You still haven't done their anthem. Wanted Dead or Alive. And yes, concert were amazing
They covered that one long ago.
I was in love with JON asf 😩 but now I'm chill but still a fan's lol ❤🗡
Thank you Jon for giving more than 100% of your efforts and singing above your range. I'll never understand why people mock his current inability to sing when he's given us so many decades of beautiful art. Just a good guy. Kudos to Richie, his right hand man and the rest of the band.
If you search for it you can find this rare gem of a clip of Jon Bon Jovi and Joey Tempest (Europe/Final Countdown) having a singoff to Beatle's classic piece 'Get Back'. Frigging awesome.
SO GLAD YOU ALL GOT AROUND TO THIS, MY FAVORITE!
Their concerts were just ridiculously good!
Not just a power ballad. This is an inspired love song. Not enough of that in the world today...
The concerts were amazing. The best ever.
Please please please do "Wanted Dead or Alive" next. This is one of their most well-known songs. You both will love it.
This is probably my favorite rock ballad. I feel that a lot of male singers, when singing about love, say what a woman wants to hear, while this song says what the man actually feels. I am wording it poorly, but basically like the most masculine love song I have heard.
Please Please Please react to Winger "HEADED FOR A HEARTBREAK" (original video). 🙏 It is soooooo good! 🔥🔥🔥 Kip Winger is a classically trained musician and the guitar player evokes sooo much intense emotion. I KNOW you will be blown away by this song.
Winger was actually a very good band with many great songs.
That guitar solo at the end of "Headed for a Heartbreak" is incredible!!
So Many Babies Were Conceived With This Song Playing!! ❤️
I have 2 more Bon Jovi songs for you. "Born To Be My Baby" is a great one, and my all time favorite "Blood On Blood" If you get the chance to watch the live version from Phoenix, what a performance from back in the day
They did "Born to be my baby"
Wanted, Dead or Alive is my favorite Bon Jovi song. Always is second, but this one is close behind.
When I lived in Florida 20 years ago, the bar across the street was a dive bar that had karaoke 7 nights a week. One night I went in and there was a new karaoke host.
She couldn't believe that I picked this song, but as I started to sing she ran back onto the stage and stopped the music, saying she thought she'd put on the original song instead of the karaoke. I said, nope that was me! I finished the song, and she immediately proposed to me! The owner of the bar whom I knew said that's her favorite song and that I had to sing it before she'd give me a beer! I must've sung this song a couple thousand times over the years. I even had vacationers ask me to sign something as Jon Bon Jovi so they could tell everyone they met him!
La mejor banda del World...
I'm a big Bon Jovi fan and this is one of my favorites of many songs of his I love
Great song; great picks tonight!❤❤❤
Such a beautiful song, kinda touches the spirit. Thanx so much, many blessings, peace
Richie Sambora’s backing vocals on this song CAN’T be beat
In and out of love
She don't know me
Are 2 rocking tunes from Bon Jovi
You can’t go wrong with Bon Jovi. Richie’s vocals and harmonies with John is about perfection. He’s got some great solo songs too. Check out Ritchie’s album Stranger in This Town- Mr Bluesman w/Eric Clapton, Father Time, One Light Burning, and my favorite- The Answer. He didn’t get enough recognition for this album.
