Thanks for your video! It would be nice to see more video with launch functions!😊
Coming soon!
This video was very straightforward and helpful. Thank you.
You're welcome!
Glad it was helpful!
Your a awesome teacher!!!! New to the game cool channel btw
Thanks for the kind words! Hope you enjoy some of my other videos as well.
Excellent video Eric :) do your keys have a battery or chip by any chance because hear some do on certain makes also models take bit longer to do programming keys up ! Yes video always helpfull too and excellent to!
This one is a chip type. In my next video on this tool I'll program a battery powered remote for the locks. Maybe it will take longer?
@@FarpointRestorationsAndRepairs no problem Eric :)
nice video thanks for sharing
Glad I could help!
In many of these "key"/Immobiliser" videos the video maker is unclear as to if the key is turned to position 1 (no engine started) or position 2 (which starts the engine) can you clarify please
Great video
Key on, engine off. Run position. All accessories should be powered up.
How does the elite compare to the pro3+ in general? Does the 3s really deserve the price difference?. How much is topology of a real difference?
To be honest, other than the larger screen and a few tweeks to the OS, they are much the same. Of course the biggest difference is that the Pro3+ is wireless where the Elite must be plugged in to the OBD2 port. Both are really impressive with the coverage and value for their money. I've owned a lot of Snap-on, OTC, and Matco products and this one for the price crushes all of them.
Nice to meet you, do you know how to use the immo reset function?
There are so many cars, it is different on ever one.
Bro can you tell me which is the best scanner for everything? Even programing new cars plz
That my friend is the problem. There is no "best for everything". Each tool I own is really good at a lot of stuff, but is missing something. The good news is that these days most are "Good enough". I own a 16K Snap-on Zeus. It's garbage. I prefer this tool 10 to 1 over it.
Where would you buy the key from the dealer? And where do you get the key cut out at becuase I believe the key comes without the key cut.
I bought the keys I needed on Amazon or Ebay- I had an original key, so I was able to get the new ones cut from a local hardware store.
What are the list of vehicles launch x431 pros v+ elite can diagnose?
Far to long for me to list, but it may be on their website.
Hi. Might seem a dumb question, but can I program xhorse and other brand keys withe the Launch?
Hmm. Don't know that one. The keys and key fobs I've programmed so far are Amazon generics so I'd think it would.
I've got the same tool and the pro elite ace, have you ever used the launch transponder programming/reading tool? I'm curious to see if it is worth buying
I have not, the keys that I made were able to be programed in the car.
@@FarpointRestorationsAndRepairs thanks for getting back to me
Registering the new keys obviously requires some kind of scan tool, but do you need extra software subscriptions?
Is it possible to program a new key if you don't have a working key, i.e. a "master key"?
That depends on the car. Toyota? Nope, Mitsubishi, Honda? No. Volvo, audi, BMW? Yes.
I have the X-431 Throttle, i don’t think it’s the pro elite but can the model i have do the same?
I am not sure, I don't that version and I was not able to find out if it can or not. Sorry
Do you need an original key to use this? Ive damaged one transponder, and have no spare.
I will have to double check. Some makes and models have the option to delete all existing keys from memory and allow you to start with a fresh key. I'd check in the programming section to see if your car offers that option.
The bigger issue is how do you power up the car to gain access to the computers with no key?
Well, I bought an OEM key from O'Reilly's. I used the autel km100 and was able to use that to program the new one without the original. The new key didn't power the truck on fully before programming but would turn the truck electrical on, such as radio and dash info allowing me to program the key with that device.
@@juanweisel1720 Good to know! So as long as the key is cut to work in the ignition lock, it will power up? Very cool.
Do you have a process for a Nissan vehicle cause not seeing the immobilizer/program key function?
Is this a question on if the scan tool or the vehicle- Will the scan tool not see it something else.
I have a key fob to program for a Nissan rogue but I can’t find the process to register the a new key. It’s not as easy as the Toyota. I have the same launch scan tool
I wonder if they are the type that have to be done with the special adapter? I was going to get one until I realized the Toyota I had did not need it
I tried on ford everest 2018. It says serial number access is prohibited. Maybe you have an idea on how to fix
I haven't heard of that model. Is it a us sold car?
Can you use this to disable the immobilizer?
Absolutely NOT
Hi Great Video Can I use this to program new keys with no master key available
I think that would depend on the car, but it's a much more complicated thing. You'll need the pin from the manufacture for that specific vehicle. To get the pin, you'd have to verify ownership.
Ok so any suggestions how I do it with no Master Key
Have you programmed a Bmw key yet? And which bmw?
I have not done them before- sorry
Is this a bidirectional scanner?
Oh yes, 100%!
Excellent video pls how can i afford this over there
I got this one on Amazon, but Kingbolen also sells them.
is this scanner has an ECM /PCM reset?
It does
I have the immobilizer programmer and it's complicated to use. Man I was over complicating this
Ha! Yup, I've been known to do that from time to time myself. Glad I could help!
May I ask, what's the difference between the Pro Elite and the Immo Plus/Elite versions? Or the CR191E/X? They're all so differently priced but I don't quite figure out what the actual differences are - Could you help?
@TheCalax it's different programs and functions I would guess, you would have to read the product description and service functions to really know what's different
Great video! Do you have one on programming key fobs? Is the LAUNCH X431 CRP919E Elite the same scanner capable of doing this?
I don't,
Did you ever figure out if it's capable?
Yes, I have a video coming out on it on the 25th showing the Elite programming a key fob for remote lock / unlock.@@johnsteele5961
Is this the global version?
Well, I don't know. I got it on Amazon here in the USA.
