- Hey y'all!
It's been a quick minute, but welcome to a typical day-in-the-life of moi, whom is among the unemployed. I wanted to show y'all how I make some extra money. If you've never heard of Amazon Flex, this is your video to learn the ins and outs of how it works. I know this is only a temporary season, but while I'm here, I gotta get this money!
Enjoy! ❤️

U R employed... just not employment of choice with a W2... At least you are not sitting and making excuses.... Keep up the good work....and hopefully soon you will find a standard job instead of a gig job💯❤️
You are correct, but since I was laid off from my job, I’m considered unemployed. Being a flex driver doesn’t pay the bills whatsoever, it’s just a little bit of extra money from time to time
Don't be embarrassed... You will have ups and downs in life...and everyday is your best life...just enjoy your moments...you will be where you need to be soon.... Thanks for the content 💯❤️
I appreciate the kind words! ❤️
Man apartments be the worst. Especially when they give no access.
Absolutely! When customers don’t leave a way to gain access, I always say, “y’all must don’t want your package” 😂
Be safe out there 💯💯
I will, thank you!
As a courtesy to your customers...you should at least ring the bell and/or knock so the person can know that they have received the pkg... it's nothing like expecting a package and you're home and the person didn't even try to ring the bell and someone steals your package 📦
So typically, customers will put in the notes on the app if they want you to ring their doorbell/knock. A lot of them do not prefer it though. Quite often there are signs outside their doors that say, “DO NOT RING DOORBELL.” But I always try to hide the packages in a safe place if I can, i.e. behind bushes, plants, or something like that. In apartments, that kind of hard though.
@@thelifeoftee That's what I tell people all the time! If you want us to ring the doorbell let us know in the notes. Some people are trying to sleep on a night schedule and they don't appreciate that. You never know.
@@thelifeoftee Yeah i usually tell people DO NOT RING BELL because it sets off my dog and i cannot quiet him down. ALSO sometimes the buzzer is so loud it frightens the bejezas out of me. I will check my email or text for delivery notifications. Ringing the bell is not necessary when u can track packages.
@@thelifeoftee I am also glad u look at the notes as it pisses me off when delivery drivers do not read the notes. And i will call them out on it as there is a reason we put notes NOT to ring the bell.
@@PetaSherman Yes, I always try to do my part and look at the notes. I know as a customer how frustrating it can be if someone doesn’t follow the directions.
We have the same glasses sis! Thank you for sharing your journey with us!!!
I love these glasses! Lol and thank you for watching ❣️
You are super charming. Thank you for showing us the process. I used to drive for amazon.
Awww, thank you! 😌 And that means you know how it can be a little crazy 😅
New subscriber!! Praying for you to get that new job 🙏 you desire!
Thank you!! I definitely need all the prayers I can get 🧡
I love that you number your packages 🎉 I have been doing that for awhile now. You probably already know but do two blocks a day. And wait an hour before the block is supposed to start before you select the block, usually the blocks increase around that time like for instance. 11 o’clock blocks go in the app around 10 AM. I can’t say how much money you will make but just plan it out you will be surprised. I can pull between 700 to 900 in one week no more then 5 to 6 days. I like to go in early like 4am or 7am then come back and bang another one. You can’t do no more then 8 hours in one day.
Yes! Numbering the packages helps so much. And like you said, I don’t want to be in front of anyone’s house too long lol
@@thelifeoftee my bad I edited the comment but yes lol you definitely don’t want to be chilling lol
@@antant7777 I just went back and read your edited message. I like doing the early morning ones as well because they pay the most. But I didn’t know about the tip to wait an hour before blocks start to select them. I’ll be on the lookout for that. Thanks!
@@thelifeoftee yeah the increase happens sometimes just keep that in mind sometimes it’s best to grab and go and no problem. Keep the RUclips going I am fan.
If you dont have a kid with you put the passenger seat flat as possible and put number 1 in the back and the rest 2 ,3, ,4 to 20 direction to the glove compartment so only you have to stress your arm to get number 1 and the rest is easy to get the numbers in order.
That’s smart! Thank you for the suggestion 💕
Thank you for the honest video. Pray you find a great job🙏
Thank you! And thank you for watching 💛
Hey! I just came across your video. This video was very helpful. Am looking to start doing this as a side hustle soon. How many times do you scan these packages? Thank you!
Hi! So, I’m not sure if I understand your question. Technically you only have to scan them once when you get ready to drop them off. However, at the beginning of the video I scanned them because I like to number my packages. So, twice if you count that.
@@thelifeoftee Ok. that answers my question. Thanks!
So it’s set up for the same route? Not just scattered everywhere? They do that inside?
I think you are awesome. & at least you make a difference. Keep up the good work. 😊
Thank you so much, that’s so sweet! 🤍
Hi new subscriber here, really enjoyed your video thanks for sharing 😄
Thank yoouuu 💕
New sub! Praying the best for you.
Thank you!! And I’m happy to have you here 🥰
I have a few questions, hopefully you're able to answer them because I'm planning on applying as a 2nd job.
1. Though you have finished your route early, is it possible to get another route before your shift ends? Or you only get 1 route per day?
2. Do they cover for gas? It seems like it doesn't but I wanted to ask anyways.
3. I know in the beginning you had said something about having another person work with you, do you notify Amazon about it or it doesn't matter?
Hey! 1. Yes, you can work more than one shift in a day. But even if you finish the first shift early, the shift time has to end before you can have another shift. I’ve done two in a day before, one in the morning and one in the evening.
2. No, unfortunately they do not. That’s why it’s important to have a shift that pays well.
3. So, technically you don’t have to tell Amazon that someone else is working under your account. However, you would want to make sure it’s someone you can trust to work under your account because whatever they do during deliveries affects your account standing. But if you have someone in the car with you, it’s no problem. Several couples do it together or friends. But you have to be the one to actually put the package on the customer’s door.
@@thelifeoftee thank you so much for answering my questions. I hope everything goes well in life for you, times are hard put we all go to do what we need to do to get through it.
What’s the heaviest package you’ll get ? And does the map works in areas with bad WiFi’s ?
I would say the heaviest is about 30-40 pounds, and those end up being the ones I have to walk far with it seems like lol so it’s really good to invest in a wagon if you can. As far as the map, it’s steadily improving but sometimes it does not work in bad areas. For example, I’ll deliver a package and when I tap “start travel” for the next, it’ll give an error message about the connection. That can be super frustrating! I kinda just have to leave out of the area until I get a better connection.
How flexible is this Amazon flex? Do you have to stick with one hub or can you work for any hub throughout the state like if you travel and wanna make some cash?
Like can you take off whenever?
@@galkkeiber8701 Yes, it’s flexible. You can go to any of the hubs in your local area. I have about 10 that I can go to. As far as taking off. This is a contract job, when you decide to work is up to you. You pick up shifts whenever you want.
Pray the Lord ❤️🙏bless you with new opportunities and restore you. It’s very difficult not working for a company, we definitely have to be grateful for what God allow us to do on the side. The job market is very tough and people are tired of dealing with all the drama, letting ppl go over the smallest things nowadays. Also, we do have to remember we are on God’s timing so when He open up that door it will happen in due season or maybe He lead you into your own business. ❤️
I agree with everything you said, 100%. I have faith that God will work everything out. He always has and always will 💛
@@thelifeoftee Awe yes, He will work it out and enjoyed your content. 💕
@@hopeh1095 I appreciate it so much! ☺️
im new, first video im watching today...all is well
Hey Sis. New subbie.
Hey! Thank you for being here ❤️
Get laid off sucks. My job fired me for not fault of my own and 2 others at my job as well. The company recently filed bankruptcy so I knew they were looking for anything to find to get rid of us. Thankfully I was able to get unemployment and it’s weekly so it helps a lot until I find another job. See if you can apply for unemployment if you were laid off you definitely qualify. They also offer other services to help you find work.
That does suck that you were laid off. And I have been able to get unemployed but the cost of living in TX is expensive, so it hasn’t been enough. I try to work a few days of Amazon a week but not too much where it would affect payments from them.
@@thelifeoftee I completely understand I live in NYC where everything is super high. I’m so thankful I live with family because I don’t what would’ve happened.
Girl! Apply at UNT for something in the alumni department
I most definitely will. Thank you!
Does it pay well?
Honestly, I don’t think so here in Texas. In my opinion, we do way too much driving here and the money really isn’t enough. There are times when there are “surges” when they’ll pay more, but that’s no guarantee. For example, 3 and a 1/2 hrs, you can make $63 but my best friend who does it in Arkansas will have the same amount of hrs and make $90-$100. When you factor in having to pay for gas, wear & tear on your car, and having 35-40+ packages to deliver, you WANT to be paid well lol. Being a flex driver here is better to do for a “side hustle” but you still need a FT job because you definitely can’t live off of it.
@@thelifeoftee Yea they need to pay wayyy more!! Thank u for answering my question. I’m in Cali and there’s a waitlist for my area.
@@Mz.Chingona619 I surely hope they pay you right in Cali!
new sub here be safe
Thank you!! 🤎
Wow you block your view right mirror with all that package on the seat.
Seems like business is slowing down.
I agree!
At least make your kid wear a seatbelt if you're gonna have them on the road all day while you work
1. I’m never on the road “all day” when he’s in the car because I don’t want him stuck in the car for a long period of time.
2. He does wear his seat belt. However, I’m pretty sure because he doesn’t see me wearing mine while delivering, which I don’t because I’m hopping out of the car every 1-3 mins, so he thinks it’s okay to not wear his.
3. He gets told to put his seatbelt on and/or sit down several times. Another reason why I hardly do deliveries with him. But please believe when it’s time to drive a long distance, i.e. driving home after delivering OR any other time we are in the car on a daily, he wears his seatbelt.
